Salmos 27

1 Por David. Yahvé es mi luz y mi salvación. ¿A quién debo temer? Yahvé es la fuerza de mi vida. ¿De quién debo tener miedo?

Yahweh is the one who gives light [to my soul/spirit] and the one who saves me, so I do not [RHQ] need to be afraid of anyone. Yahweh is the one to whom I go for refuge, so I will never be afraid.

2 Cuando los malhechores vinieron a mí para devorar mi carne, incluso mis adversarios y mis enemigos, tropezaron y cayeron.

When those who do evil come near me to attack me, they stumble and fall down.

3 Aunque un ejército acampe contra mí, mi corazón no temerá. Aunque la guerra se levante contra mí, incluso entonces me sentiré confiado.

[Even] if an army surrounds me, I [SYN] will not be afraid. [Even] if they attack me, I will trust [in God].

4 Una cosa he pedido a Yahvé, que buscaré: para que habite en la casa de Yahvé todos los días de mi vida, para ver la belleza de Yahvé, y a indagar en su templo.

There is one thing that I have requested from Yahweh; this is the one thing that I desire: That I may worship in Yahweh’s house/temple every day of my life, and see that Yahweh is wonderful and inquire [what he wants me to do].

5 Porque en el día de la angustia, me guardará en secreto en su pabellón. En el lugar secreto de su tabernáculo, me esconderá. Me levantará sobre una roca.

He will protect me when I have troubles; he will keep me safe in his Sacred Tent. He will set me safely (on a high rock/in a secure place).

6 Ahora mi cabeza se alzará por encima de mis enemigos que me rodean. Ofreceré sacrificios de alegría en su tienda. Cantaré, sí, cantaré alabanzas a Yahvé.

Then I will triumph over [IDM] my enemies. I will shout joyfully as I offer sacrifices in his Sacred Tent, and I will praise Yahweh as I sing.

7 Escucha, Yahvé, cuando clamo con mi voz. Ten también piedad de mí y respóndeme.

Yahweh, listen to me while I pray. Be kind to me and answer my prayer.

8 Cuando dijiste: “Busca mi rostro” mi corazón te dijo: “Buscaré tu rostro, Yahvé”.

I sensed that I heard you say, “Come and worship me [IDM],” so, Yahweh, I will worship you.

9 No me ocultes tu rostro. No apartes a tu siervo con rabia. Has sido mi ayuda. No me abandones, ni me abandones, Dios de mi salvación.

I am your servant; Do not be angry with me and turn away from me. You have always helped me. You are the one who has saved me, so do not abandon me [now].

10 Cuando mi padre y mi madre me abandonan, entonces Yahvé me llevará arriba.

[Even] if my father and mother desert me, you will take care of [IDM] me.

11 Enséñame tu camino, Yahvé. Guíame por un camino recto, a causa de mis enemigos.

Yahweh, teach me to do what you want me to do, and lead me on a safe path because I have many enemies.

12 No me entregues al deseo de mis adversarios, porque se han levantado falsos testigos contra mí, como exhalar crueldad.

Do not allow my enemies to do to me what they want; they say many false things about me and [threaten to do] violent things to me.

13 Sigo confiando en ello: Veré la bondad de Yahvé en la tierra de los vivos.

But I know that because I trust in you you will be good to me as long as I live.

14 Espera a Yahvé. Sé fuerte, y deja que tu corazón tenga valor. Sí, espera a Yahvé.

So trust in Yahweh, [all of you]! Be strong and courageous, and wait expectantly for him [to help you]!
