Salmos 21

1 Para el músico principal. Un salmo de David. ¡El rey se alegra de tu fuerza, Yahvé! ¡Cuánto se alegra de tu salvación!

To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. The King shall reioyce in thy strength, O Lord: yea how greatly shall he reioyce in thy saluation!

2 Le has dado el deseo de su corazón, y no han retenido la petición de sus labios. (Selah)

Thou hast giuen him his hearts desire, and hast not denyed him the request of his lips. (Selah)

3 Porque lo encuentras con las bendiciones de la bondad. Pusiste una corona de oro fino en su cabeza.

For thou diddest preuent him with liberall blessings, and didest set a crowne of pure gold vpon his head.

4 Te pidió la vida y se la diste, incluso la duración de los días por los siglos de los siglos.

He asked life of thee, and thou gauest him a long life for euer and euer.

5 Su gloria es grande en tu salvación. Le das honor y majestad.

His glory is great in thy saluation: dignitie and honour hast thou laid vpon him.

6 Porque tú lo haces el más bendito para siempre. Lo alegras con tu presencia.

For thou hast set him as blessings for euer: thou hast made him glad with the ioy of thy countenance.

7 Porque el rey confía en Yahvé. Por la amorosa bondad del Altísimo, no será conmovido.

Because the King trusteth in the Lord, and in the mercie of the most High, he shall not slide.

8 Tu mano descubrirá a todos tus enemigos. Tu mano derecha descubrirá a los que te odian.

Thine hand shall finde out all thine enemies, and thy right hand shall finde out them that hate thee.

9 Los harás como un horno de fuego en el momento de tu ira. Yahvé se los tragará en su ira. El fuego los devorará.

Thou shalt make them like a fierie ouen in time of thine anger: the Lord shall destroy them in his wrath, and the fire shall deuoure them.

10 Destruirás a sus descendientes de la tierra, su posteridad de entre los hijos de los hombres.

Their fruite shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seede from the children of men.

11 Porque ellos pretenden el mal contra ti. Han tramado un mal contra ti que no puede tener éxito.

For they intended euill against thee, and imagined mischiefe, but they shall not preuaile.

12 Porque los harás volver la espalda, cuando apuntas con los arcos a la cara.

Therefore shalt thou put them aparte, and the strings of thy bowe shalt thou make readie against their faces.

13 Sé exaltado, Yahvé, en tu fuerza, por lo que cantaremos y alabaremos tu poder.

Be thou exalted, O Lord, in thy strength: so will we sing and prayse thy power.
