Salmos 20

1 Para el músico principal. Un salmo de David. Que Yahvé te responda en el día de la angustia. Que el nombre del Dios de Jacob te ponga en alto,

To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. Yahweh answer thee, in the day of distress, The Name of the God of Jacob give thee safety;

2 te envía ayuda desde el santuario, te conceda el apoyo de Sión,

Send thy help out of the sanctuary, and, out of Zion, sustain thee;

3 recuerda todas sus ofrendas, y aceptar tu sacrificio quemado. (Selah)

Remember every present of thine, and, thine ascending-sacrifice, esteem. (Selah)

4 Que te conceda el deseo de tu corazón, y cumplir todos tus consejos.

Give thee according to thy heart, and, all thy purposes, fulfil.

5 Triunfaremos en tu salvación. En el nombre de nuestro Dios, levantaremos nuestras banderas. Que Yahvé te conceda todas tus peticiones.

We will shout aloud in thy salvation, and, in the Name of our God, shall we become great, Yahweh fulfil all thy petitions.

6 Ahora sé que Yahvé salva a su ungido. Él le responderá desde su santo cielo, con la fuerza salvadora de su mano derecha.

Now, do I know that Yahweh, hath saved, his Anointed One, —He answereth him out of his holy heavens, by the mighty saving deeds of his own right hand.

7 Algunos confían en los carros y otros en los caballos, pero confiamos en el nombre de Yahvé, nuestro Dios.

These, by chariots, and, those, by horses, but, we, by the Name of Yahweh our God, will prevail.

8 Se inclinan y caen, pero nos levantamos y nos ponemos de pie.

They, have bowed down and fallen, but, we, have arisen, and stand upright.

9 ¡Salva, Yahvé! ¡Que el Rey nos responda cuando llamamos!

Yahweh, hath saved the king. Answer us, then, on the day when we call.
