Salmos 17
1 Una oración de David. Escucha, Yahvé, mi justa súplica. Presta atención a mi oración que no sale de labios engañosos.
A prayer of David. Listen, O Lord of my righteousness, attend to my petition; give ear to my prayer not [uttered] with deceitful lips.
2 Que mi sentencia salga de tu presencia. Deja que tus ojos miren la equidad.
Let my judgment come forth from your presence; let mine eyes behold righteousness.
3 Has probado mi corazón. Me has visitado en la noche. Me has probado y no has encontrado nada. He resuelto que mi boca no desobedezca.
You has proved mine heart; you have visited [me] by night; you have tried me as with fire, and unrighteousness has not been found in me: [I am purposed] that my mouth shall not speak [amiss].
4 En cuanto a las obras de los hombres, por la palabra de tus labios, Me he alejado de los caminos de los violentos.
As for the works of men, by the words of your lips I have guarded [myself from] hard ways.
5 Mis pasos se han mantenido firmes en tus caminos. Mis pies no han resbalado.
Direct my steps in your paths, that my steps slip not.
6 Te he invocado, porque tú me responderás, Dios. Poner el oído en mí. Escucha mi discurso.
I have cried, for you heard me, O God: incline your ear to me, and listen to my words.
7 Muestra tu maravillosa bondad amorosa, tú que salvas a los que se refugian por tu derecha de sus enemigos.
Show the marvels of your mercies, you that save them that hope in you.
8 Guárdame como la niña de tus ojos. Escóndeme bajo la sombra de tus alas,
Keep me as the apple of the eye from those that resist your right hand: you shall screen me by the covering of your wings,
9 de los malvados que me oprimen, mis enemigos mortales, que me rodean.
from the face of the ungodly that have afflicted me: mine enemies have compassed about my soul.
10 Cierran sus corazones insensibles. Con la boca hablan con orgullo.
They have enclosed [themselves with] their own fat: their mouth has spoken pride.
11 Ahora nos han rodeado en nuestros pasos. Pusieron sus ojos en arrojarnos a la tierra.
They have now cast me out and compassed me round about: they have set their eyes [so as] to bow them down to the ground.
12 Es como un león ávido de su presa, como si fuera un joven león que acecha en lugares secretos.
They laid wait for me as a lion ready for prey, and like a lion's whelp dwelling in secret [places].
13 Levántate, Yahvé, enfréntate a él. Échalo abajo. Libra mi alma de los malvados con tu espada,
Arise, O Lord, prevent them, and cast them down: deliver my soul from the ungodly: [draw] your sword,
14 de los hombres por tu mano, Yahvé, de los hombres del mundo, cuya porción está en esta vida. Llenas la barriga de tus seres queridos. Sus hijos tienen mucho, y acumulan riquezas para sus hijos.
because of the enemies of your hand: O Lord, destroy them from the earth; scatter them in their life, though their belly has been filled with your hidden [treasures]: they have been satisfied with uncleanness, and have left the remnant [of their possessions] to their babes.
15 En cuanto a mí, veré tu rostro en la justicia. Me conformaré, cuando despierte, con ver tu forma.
But I shall appear in righteousness before your face: I shall be satisfied when your glory appears.
