Salmos 149

1 ¡Alabado sea Yahvé! Canta a Yahvé una nueva canción, su alabanza en la asamblea de los santos.

Sing ye to the Lord a new canticle: let his praise be in the church of the saints.

2 Que Israel se regocije en el que los hizo. Que los hijos de Sión se alegren en su Rey.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: and let the children of Sion be joyful in their king.

3 ¡Que alaben su nombre en la danza! Que le canten alabanzas con pandereta y arpa.

Let them praise his name in choir: let them sing to him with the timbrel and the psaltery.

4 Porque Yahvé se complace en su pueblo. Corona a los humildes con la salvación.

For the Lord is well pleased with his people: and he will exalt the meek unto salvation.

5 Que los santos se regocijen en el honor. Que canten de alegría en sus camas.

The saints shall rejoice in glory: they shall be joyful in their beds.

6 Que las altas alabanzas de Dios estén en sus bocas, y una espada de dos filos en la mano,

The high praise of God shall be in their mouth: and two-edged swords in their hands:

7 para ejecutar la venganza sobre las naciones, y castigos a los pueblos;

To execute vengeance upon the nations, chastisements among the people:

8 para atar a sus reyes con cadenas, y sus nobles con grilletes de hierro;

To bind their kings with fetters, and their nobles with manacles of iron.

9 para ejecutar en ellos la sentencia escrita. Todos sus santos tienen este honor. ¡Alabado sea Yah!

To execute upon them the judgment that is written: this glory is to all his saints. Alleluia.
