Salmos 139
1 Para el músico principal. Un salmo de David. Yahvé, tú me has buscado, y tú me conoces.
O Jehovah, thou have searched me, and known.
2 Tú sabes que me siento y me levanto. Percibes mis pensamientos desde lejos.
Thou know my sitting down and my rising up. Thou understand my thought afar off.
3 Buscas mi camino y mi descanso, y están familiarizados con todos mis caminos.
Thou search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Porque no hay una palabra en mi lengua, pero he aquí, Yahvé, que tú lo sabes todo.
For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Jehovah, thou know it altogether.
5 Me rodeas por detrás y por delante. Me pusiste la mano encima.
Thou have beset me behind and before, and laid thy hand upon me.
6 Este conocimiento me supera. Es elevado. No puedo conseguirlo.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. It is high, I cannot attain to it.
7 ¿A dónde podría ir desde tu Espíritu? ¿O dónde podría huir de tu presencia?
Where shall I go from thy Spirit? Or where shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou are there. (Sheol h7585)
9 Si tomo las alas de la aurora, y se asientan en los confines del mar,
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the outermost parts of the sea,
10 hasta allí me llevará tu mano, y tu mano derecha me sostendrá.
even there thy hand shall lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11 Si digo: “Seguramente las tinieblas me abrumarán. La luz que me rodea será la noche”.
If I say, Surely the darkness shall overwhelm me, and the light around me shall be night,
12 ni siquiera la oscuridad se esconde de ti, pero la noche brilla como el día. La oscuridad es como la luz para ti.
even the darkness hides not from thee, but the night shines as the day. The darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
13 Porque tú formaste mi ser más íntimo. Me tejiste en el vientre de mi madre.
For thou formed my inward parts. Thou covered me in my mother's womb.
14 Te daré las gracias, porque estoy hecho de manera temible y maravillosa. Sus obras son maravillosas. Mi alma lo sabe muy bien.
I will give thanks to thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are thy works, and that my soul knows right well.
15 Mi marco no se ocultó de ti, cuando me hicieron en secreto, tejidas en las profundidades de la tierra.
My frame was not hidden from thee, when I was made in secret, curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Tus ojos vieron mi cuerpo. En su libro estaban todos escritos, los días que fueron ordenados para mí, cuando todavía no había ninguno.
Thine eyes saw my unformed substance, and in thy book they were all written, even the days that were ordained, when as yet there was none of them.
17 ¡Qué preciosos son para mí tus pensamientos, Dios! ¡Qué enorme es su suma!
How precious also are thy thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!
18 Si quisiera contarlos, son más numerosos que la arena. Cuando me despierto, todavía estoy contigo.
I count them; they are more in number than the sand. When I awake, I am still with thee.
19 Si tú, Dios, mataras a los malvados. ¡Aléjense de mí, sanguinarios!
Surely thou will kill the wicked, O God. Depart from me therefore, ye bloodthirsty men.
20 Porque hablan contra ti con maldad. Tus enemigos toman tu nombre en vano.
For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take it in vain.
21 Yahvé, ¿no odio a los que te odian? ¿No estoy afligido por los que se levantan contra ti?
Do I not hate them, O Jehovah, who hate thee? And am I not grieved with those who rise up against thee?
22 Los odio con un odio perfecto. Se han convertido en mis enemigos.
I hate them with perfect hatred. They have become my enemies.
23 Escúchame, Dios, y conoce mi corazón. Pruébame y conoce mis pensamientos.
Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts,
24 Mira si hay algún camino perverso en mí, y guíame por el camino eterno.
and see if there is any wicked way in me. And lead me in the way everlasting.
