< Salmos 132 >

1 Una canción de ascensos. Yahvé, recuerda a David y toda su aflicción,
[A Song of Ascents.] Jehovah, remember David and all his affliction,
2 cómo juró a Yahvé, y se lo juró al Poderoso de Jacob:
how he swore to Jehovah, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 “Seguramente no entraré en la estructura de mi casa, ni subir a mi cama;
"Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;
4 No daré sueño a mis ojos, o sueño a mis párpados,
I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids;
5 hasta que encuentre un lugar para Yahvé, una morada para el Poderoso de Jacob”.
until I find out a place for Jehovah, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob."
6 He aquí que lo hemos oído en Efrata. Lo encontramos en el campo de Jaar.
Look, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar:
7 “Entraremos en su morada. Nos postraremos ante su escabel”.
"We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.
8 Levántate, Yahvé, a tu lugar de descanso, y el arca de tu fuerza.
Arise, Jehovah, to your resting place, you and the ark of your strength.
9 Que tus sacerdotes se revistan de justicia. ¡Que tus santos griten de alegría!
Let your priest be clothed with righteousness. Let your faithful ones shout for joy."
10 Por tu siervo David, no apartes el rostro de tu ungido.
For your servant David's sake, do not turn away the face of your anointed one.
11 Yahvé ha jurado a David en verdad. No se apartará de él: “Pondré el fruto de tu cuerpo en tu trono.
Jehovah has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: "I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.
12 Si tus hijos cumplen mi pacto, mi testimonio que les enseñaré, sus hijos también se sentarán en tu trono para siempre”.
If your children will keep my covenant, my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forevermore."
13 Porque Yahvé ha elegido a Sión. Él la ha deseado para su habitación.
For Jehovah has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling.
14 “Este es mi lugar de descanso para siempre. Viviré aquí, pues lo he deseado.
"This is my resting place forever. Here I will live, for I have desired it.
15 Bendeciré abundantemente su provisión. Satisfaré a sus pobres con pan.
I will abundantly bless her provision. I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 También vestiré a sus sacerdotes con la salvación. Sus santos gritarán de alegría.
Her priests I will also clothe with salvation. Her faithful ones will shout aloud for joy.
17 Haré brotar allí el cuerno de David. He ordenado una lámpara para mi ungido.
There I will make the horn of David to bud. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.
18 vestiré de vergüenza a sus enemigos, pero en él mismo, su corona brillará”.
I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will be resplendent."
