Salmos 131

1 Una canción de ascensos. Por David. Yahvé, mi corazón no es arrogante, ni mis ojos altivos; ni me ocupo de grandes asuntos, o cosas demasiado maravillosas para mí.

Yahweh, I am not proud and I have not thought highly about (myself/the things that I have done). And I do not concern myself about things [that you have done] that are very big or very wonderful.

2 Ciertamente, he aquietado y calmado mi alma, como un niño destetado con su madre, como un niño destetado está mi alma dentro de mí.

Instead, I am calm and peaceful, like a [small] child who lies quietly in its mother’s arms [SIM]. In the same way, I am peaceful.

3 Israel, espera en Yahvé, desde este momento y para siempre.

You [my fellow] Israelis, confidently expect that Yahweh [will do good things for you], now and forever!
