Salmos 115
1 No a nosotros, Yahvé, no a nosotros, pero a tu nombre dale gloria, por tu amorosa bondad, y por tu verdad.
Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory.
2 ¿Por qué han de decir las naciones, “¿Dónde está su Dios, ahora?”
Give glory to your mercy and your truth, lest the Gentiles should say, “Where is their God?”
3 Pero nuestro Dios está en los cielos. Hace lo que le da la gana.
But our God is in heaven. All things whatsoever that he has willed, he has done.
4 Sus ídolos son de plata y oro, el trabajo de las manos de los hombres.
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men.
5 Tienen boca, pero no hablan. Tienen ojos, pero no ven.
They have mouths, and do not speak; they have eyes, and do not see.
6 Tienen oídos, pero no oyen. Tienen nariz, pero no huelen.
They have ears, and do not hear; they have noses, and do not smell.
7 Tienen manos, pero no sienten. Tienen pies, pero no caminan, tampoco hablan por la garganta.
They have hands, and do not feel; they have feet, and do not walk. Neither will they cry out with their throat.
8 Los que los hagan serán como ellos; sí, todos los que confían en ellos.
Let those who make them become like them, along with all who trust in them.
9 ¡Israel, confía en Yahvé! Él es su ayuda y su escudo.
The house of Israel has hoped in the Lord. He is their helper and their protector.
10 ¡Casa de Aarón, confía en Yahvé! Él es su ayuda y su escudo.
The house of Aaron has hoped in the Lord. He is their helper and their protector.
11 ¡Tú que temes a Yahvé, confía en Yahvé! Él es su ayuda y su escudo.
Those who fear the Lord have hoped in the Lord. He is their helper and their protector.
12 Yahvé se acuerda de nosotros. Nos bendecirá. Él bendecirá a la casa de Israel. Él bendecirá la casa de Aarón.
The Lord has been mindful of us, and he has blessed us. He has blessed the house of Israel. He has blessed the house of Aaron.
13 Él bendecirá a los que temen a Yahvé, tanto pequeñas como grandes.
He has blessed all who fear the Lord, the small with the great.
14 Que Yahvé te aumente más y más, usted y sus hijos.
May the Lord add blessings upon you: upon you, and upon your sons.
15 Bendito seas por Yahvé, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
Blessed are you by the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
16 Los cielos son los cielos de Yahvé, pero ha dado la tierra a los hijos de los hombres.
The heaven of heaven is for the Lord, but the earth he has given to the sons of men.
17 Los muertos no alaban a Yah, ni a los que se hunden en el silencio,
The dead will not praise you, Lord, and neither will all those who descend into Hell. (questioned)
18 pero bendeciremos a Yah, desde este momento y para siempre. ¡Alabado sea Yah!
But we who live will bless the Lord, from this time forward, and even forever.
