Salmos 104
1 Bendice a Yahvé, alma mía. Yahvé, Dios mío, eres muy grande. Estás revestido de honor y majestad.
Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, Thou art very great; Thou art clothed with glory and majesty.
2 Se cubre de luz como de un vestido. Extiende los cielos como una cortina.
Who coverest Thyself with light as with a garment, who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain;
3 Coloca las vigas de sus habitaciones en las aguas. Hace de las nubes su carro. Camina sobre las alas del viento.
Who layest the beams of Thine upper chambers in the waters, who makest the clouds Thy chariot, who walkest upon the wings of the wind;
4 Él hace que sus mensajeros vientos, y sus sirvientes llamas de fuego.
Who makest winds Thy messengers, the flaming fire Thy ministers.
5 Él puso los cimientos de la tierra, que no debe ser movido para siempre.
Who didst establish the earth upon its foundations, that it should not be moved for ever and ever;
6 Lo cubriste con lo profundo como con un manto. Las aguas estaban por encima de las montañas.
Thou didst cover it with the deep as with a vesture; the waters stood above the mountains.
7 Ante tu reprimenda huyeron. A la voz de su trueno se apresuraron a alejarse.
At Thy rebuke they fled, at the voice of Thy thunder they hasted away —
8 Las montañas se elevaron, los valles se hundieron, al lugar que les habías asignado.
The mountains rose, the valleys sank down — unto the place which Thou hadst founded for them;
9 Has establecido un límite que no pueden traspasar, para que no vuelvan a cubrir la tierra.
Thou didst set a bound which they should not pass over, that they might not return to cover the earth.
10 Él envía manantiales a los valles. Corren entre las montañas.
Who sendest forth springs into the valleys; they run between the mountains;
11 Dan de beber a todos los animales del campo. Los burros salvajes sacian su sed.
They give drink to every beast of the field, the wild asses quench their thirst.
12 Junto a ellos anidan las aves del cielo. Cantan entre las ramas.
Beside them dwell the fowl of the heaven, from among the branches they sing.
13 Riega las montañas desde sus habitaciones. La tierra está llena del fruto de tus obras.
Who waterest the mountains from Thine upper chambers; the earth is full of the fruit of Thy works.
14 Hace crecer la hierba para el ganado, y plantas para que el hombre las cultive, para que produzca alimentos de la tierra:
Who causeth the grass to spring up for the cattle, and herb for the service of man; to bring forth bread out of the earth,
15 vino que alegra el corazón del hombre, aceite para hacer brillar su rostro, y el pan que fortalece el corazón del hombre.
And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, making the face brighter than oil, and bread that stayeth man's heart.
16 Los árboles de Yahvé están bien regados, los cedros del Líbano, que ha plantado,
The trees of the LORD have their fill, the cedars of Lebanon, which He hath planted;
17 donde los pájaros hacen sus nidos. La cigüeña tiene su hogar en los cipreses.
Wherein the birds make their nests; as for the stork, the fir-trees are her house.
18 Las altas montañas son para las cabras salvajes. Las rocas son un refugio para los tejones de las rocas.
The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the conies.
19 Él designó la luna para las estaciones. El sol sabe cuándo ponerse.
Who appointedst the moon for seasons; the sun knoweth his going down.
20 Haces las tinieblas, y es de noche, en la que merodean todos los animales del bosque.
Thou makest darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.
21 Los jóvenes leones rugen tras su presa, y buscan su alimento en Dios.
The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.
22 Sale el sol y se alejan, y se acuestan en sus guaridas.
The sun ariseth, they slink away, and couch in their dens.
23 El hombre sale a su trabajo, a su labor hasta la noche.
Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.
24 ¡Yahvé, cuántas son tus obras! Con sabiduría, los has hecho todos. La tierra está llena de sus riquezas.
How manifold are Thy works, O LORD! In wisdom hast Thou made them all; the earth is full of Thy creatures.
25 Ahí está el mar, grande y ancho, en el que hay innumerables seres vivos, tanto a los animales pequeños como a los grandes.
Yonder sea, great and wide, therein are creeping things innumerable, living creatures, both small and great.
26 Ahí van los barcos, y el leviatán, que se formó para jugar allí.
There go the ships; there is leviathan, whom Thou hast formed to sport therein.
27 Todos ellos te esperan, para que les des su comida a su debido tiempo.
All of them wait for Thee, that Thou mayest give them their food in due season.
28 Tú les das; ellos recogen. Abres la mano; se conforman con el bien.
Thou givest it unto them, they gather it; Thou openest Thy hand, they are satisfied with good.
29 Escondes tu rostro; están turbados. Les quitas el aliento; mueren y vuelven al polvo.
Thou hidest Thy face, they vanish; Thou withdrawest their breath, they perish, and return to their dust.
30 Envías tu Espíritu y son creados. Renuevas la cara de la tierra.
Thou sendest forth Thy spirit, they are created; and Thou renewest the face of the earth.
31 Que la gloria de Yahvé sea eterna. Que Yahvé se regocije en sus obras.
May the glory of the LORD endure for ever; let the LORD rejoice in His works!
32 Él mira la tierra y ésta tiembla. Toca las montañas y éstas echan humo.
Who looketh on the earth, and it trembleth; He toucheth the mountains, and they smoke.
33 Cantaré a Yahvé mientras viva. Cantaré alabanzas a mi Dios mientras tenga algún ser.
I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.
34 Que mi meditación sea dulce para él. Me regocijaré en Yahvé.
Let my musing be sweet unto Him; as for me, I will rejoice in the LORD.
35 Que los pecadores sean consumidos fuera de la tierra. Que los malvados no sean más. Bendice a Yahvé, mi alma. ¡Alabado sea Yah!
Let sinners cease out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, O my soul. Hallelujah.
