Salmos 101

1 Un salmo de David. Cantaré a la bondad amorosa y a la justicia. A ti, Yahvé, te cantaré alabanzas.

A psalm for David himself. Mercy and judgment I will sing to thee, O Lord: I will sing,

2 Tendré cuidado de vivir una vida irreprochable. ¿Cuándo vas a venir a verme? Caminaré dentro de mi casa con un corazón irreprochable.

And I will understand in the unspotted way, when thou shalt come to me. I walked in the innocence of my heart, in the midst of my house.

3 No pondré ninguna cosa vil ante mis ojos. Odio los actos de los hombres sin fe. No se aferrarán a mí.

I did not set before my eyes any unjust thing: I hated the workers of iniquities.

4 Un corazón perverso estará lejos de mí. No tendré nada que ver con el mal.

The perverse heart did not cleave to me: and the malignant, that turned aside from me, I would not know.

5 Yo silenciaré a quien calumnie en secreto a su prójimo. No toleraré a quien es arrogante y engreído.

The man that in private detracted his neighbour, him did I persecute. With him that had a proud eye, and an unsatiable heart, I would not eat.

6 Mis ojos estarán sobre los fieles de la tierra, para que habiten conmigo. El que camina de manera perfecta, me servirá.

My eyes were upon the faithful of the earth, to sit with me: the man that walked in the perfect way, he served me.

7 El que practica el engaño no habitará en mi casa. El que habla con falsedad no será establecido ante mis ojos.

He that worketh pride shall not dwell in the midst of my house: he that speaketh unjust things did not prosper before my eyes.

8 Mañana tras mañana, destruiré a todos los malvados de la tierra, para cortar a todos los obreros de la iniquidad de la ciudad de Yahvé.

In the morning I put to death all the wicked of the land: that I might cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of the Lord.
