Salmos 1

1 Dichoso el hombre que no anda en el consejo de los malvados, ni se detiene en el camino de los pecadores, ni sienta en la silla de los burlones;

How happy the man, who hath not walked in the counsel of the lawless, —and, in the way of sinners, hath not stood, and, in the seat of scoffers, hath not sat;

2 sino que su deleite está en la ley de Yahvé. En su ley medita de día y noche.

But, in the law of Yahweh, is his delight, —and, in his law, doth he talk with himself day and night.

3 Será como un árbol plantado junto a las corrientes de agua, que produce su fruto en su temporada, cuya hoja tampoco se marchita. Todo lo que haga prosperará.

So doth he become like a tree planted by streams of waters, —that yieldeth, its fruit, in its season, whose leaf, also doth not wither, and, whatsoever he doeth, prospereth.

4 Los malvados no son así, sino que son como la paja que el viento se lleva.

Not so, the lawless, —but as chaff which is driven about by the wind:

5 Por lo tanto, los impíos no levantarán en el juicio, ni los pecadores en la congregación de los justos.

For this cause, shall the lawless not stand in the judgment, —nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

6 Porque Yahvé conoce el camino de los justos, pero el camino de los impíos perecerá.

For Yahweh doth acknowledge the way of the righteous; but, the way of the lawless, shall vanish.
