Proverbios 21
1 El corazón del rey está en la mano de Yahvé como las corrientes de agua. Lo convierte en lo que desea.
The Kings heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the riuers of waters: he turneth it whithersoeuer it pleaseth him.
2 Todo camino del hombre es correcto a sus propios ojos, pero Yahvé pesa los corazones.
Euery way of a man is right in his owne eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
3 Hacer rectitud y justicia es más aceptable para Yahvé que el sacrificio.
To doe iustice and iudgement is more acceptable to the Lord then sacrifice.
4 Una mirada elevada y un corazón orgulloso, la lámpara de los malvados, es el pecado.
A hautie looke, and a proude heart, which is the light of the wicked, is sinne.
5 Los planes de los diligentes seguramente conducen a la ganancia; y todo el que se precipita seguramente se precipita a la pobreza.
The thoughtes of the diligent doe surely bring abundance: but whosoeuer is hastie, commeth surely to pouertie.
6 Conseguir tesoros por una lengua mentirosa es un vapor fugaz para los que buscan la muerte.
The gathering of treasures by a deceitfull tongue is vanitie tossed to and from of them that seeke death.
7 La violencia de los malvados los ahuyentará, porque se niegan a hacer lo que es correcto.
The robberie of the wicked shall destroy them: for they haue refused to execute iudgement.
8 El camino del culpable es tortuoso, pero la conducta del inocente es recta.
The way of some is peruerted and strange: but of the pure man, his worke is right.
9 Es mejor habitar en el rincón de la azotea que compartir una casa con una mujer contenciosa.
It is better to dwell in a corner of the house top, then with a contentious woman in a wide house.
10 El alma del malvado desea el mal; su prójimo no encuentra misericordia en sus ojos.
The soule of the wicked wisheth euill: and his neighbour hath no fauour in his eyes.
11 Cuando el burlador es castigado, el simple adquiere sabiduría. Cuando el sabio se instruye, recibe conocimiento.
When the scorner is punished, the foolish is wise: and when one instructeth the wise, he wil receiue knowledge.
12 El Justo considera la casa de los malvados, y lleva a los malvados a la ruina.
The righteous teacheth the house of the wicked: but God ouerthroweth the wicked for their euill.
13 El que detenga sus oídos ante el clamor de los pobres, también gritará, pero no será escuchado.
He that stoppeth his eare at the crying of the poore, he shall also cry and not be heard.
14 Un regalo en secreto apacigua la ira, y un soborno en el manto, una fuerte ira.
A gift in secret pacifieth anger, and a gift in the bosome great wrath.
15 El justo se alegra de hacer justicia; sino que es una destrucción para los obreros de la iniquidad.
It is ioye to the iust to doe iudgement: but destruction shalbe to the workers of iniquitie.
16 El hombre que se aleja del camino del entendimiento descansará en la asamblea de los espíritus difuntos.
A man that wandreth out of the way of wisdome, shall remaine in the congregation of the dead.
17 El que ama el placer será un hombre pobre. El que ama el vino y el aceite no será rico.
Hee that loueth pastime, shalbe a poore man: and he that loueth wine and oyle, shall not be riche.
18 El impío es un rescate para el justo, los traidores por los rectos.
The wicked shalbe a ransome for the iust, and the transgressour for the righteous.
19 Es mejor habitar en una tierra desierta, que con una mujer contenciosa e inquieta.
It is better to dwell in the wildernesse, then with a contentious and angry woman.
20 Hay un tesoro precioso y aceite en la morada de los sabios, pero el necio se lo traga.
In the house of the wise is a pleasant treasure and oyle: but a foolish man deuoureth it.
21 El que sigue la justicia y la bondad encuentra la vida, la justicia y el honor.
He that followeth after righteousnes and mercy, shall finde life, righteousnes, and glory.
22 Un hombre sabio escala la ciudad de los poderosos, y hace bajar la fuerza de su confianza.
A wise man goeth vp into the citie of the mightie, and casteth downe the strength of the confidence thereof.
23 El que cuida su boca y su lengua guarda su alma de los problemas.
He that keepeth his mouth and his tongue, keepeth his soule from afflictions.
24 El hombre orgulloso y arrogante — “burlador” es su nombre — trabaja en la arrogancia del orgullo.
Proude, hautie and scornefull is his name that worketh in his arrogancie wrath.
25 El deseo del perezoso lo mata, porque sus manos se niegan a trabajar.
The desire of the slouthfull slayeth him: for his hands refuse to worke.
26 Hay quienes codician con avidez todo el día; pero los justos dan y no retienen.
He coueteth euermore greedily, but the righteous giueth and spareth not.
27 El sacrificio de los malvados es una abominación — ¡cuánto más, cuando lo trae con una mente perversa!
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination: how much more when he bringeth it with a wicked minde?
28 El testigo falso perecerá. Un hombre que escucha habla con la eternidad.
A false witnes shall perish: but hee that heareth, speaketh continually.
29 El malvado endurece su rostro; pero en cuanto a los rectos, él establece sus caminos.
A wicked man hardeneth his face: but the iust, he will direct his way.
30 No hay sabiduría ni entendimiento ni consejo contra Yahvé.
There is no wisedome, neither vnderstanding, nor counsell against the Lord.
31 El caballo está preparado para el día de la batalla; pero la victoria es de Yahvé.
The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but saluation is of the Lord.
