Números 26
1 Después de la plaga, Yahvé habló a Moisés y al sacerdote Eleazar hijo de Aarón, diciendo:
And it comes to pass, after the plague, that YHWH speaks to Moses and to Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, saying,
2 “Hagan un censo de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, de veinte años en adelante, por las casas de sus padres, todos los que puedan salir a la guerra en Israel.”
“Take a census of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, from a son of twenty years and upward, by the house of their fathers, everyone going out to the host in Israel.”
3 Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar hablaron con ellos en las llanuras de Moab, junto al Jordán, en Jericó, diciendo:
And Moses speaks—Eleazar the priest also—with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, [near] Jericho, saying,
4 “Hagan un censo, de veinte años en adelante, como Yahvé les ordenó a Moisés y a los hijos de Israel.” Estos son los que salieron de la tierra de Egipto.
“From a son of twenty years and upward,” as YHWH has commanded Moses and the sons of Israel who are coming out from the land of Egypt.
5 Rubén, el primogénito de Israel; los hijos de Rubén: de Hanoc, la familia de los Hanocitas; de Falú, la familia de los Falúitas;
Reuben, firstborn of Israel—sons of Reuben: of Enoch [is] the family of the Enochite; of Pallu the family of the Palluite;
6 de Esrom, la familia de los Esromitas; de Carmi, la familia de los Carmitas.
of Hezron the family of the Hezronite; of Carmi the family of the Carmite.
7 Estas son las familias de los rubenitas; y los contados de ellas fueron cuarenta y tres mil setecientos treinta.
These [are] families of the Reubenite, and their numbered ones are forty-three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
8 El hijo de Pallu: Eliab.
And the son of Pallu [is] Eliab;
9 Los hijos de Eliab: Nemuel, Datán y Abiram. Estos son aquellos Datán y Abiram que fueron llamados por la congregación, que se rebelaron contra Moisés y contra Aarón en la compañía de Coré cuando se rebelaron contra Yahvé;
and the sons of Eliab [are] Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram; this [is that] Dathan and Abiram, called ones of the congregation, who have striven against Moses and against Aaron in the congregation of Korah, in their striving against YHWH,
10 y la tierra abrió su boca y los tragó junto con Coré cuando esa compañía murió; en ese momento el fuego devoró a doscientos cincuenta hombres, y se convirtieron en una señal.
and the earth opens her mouth, and swallows them and Korah, in the death of the congregation, in the fire consuming the two hundred and fifty men, and they become a sign;
11 Sin embargo, los hijos de Coré no murieron.
but the sons of Korah did not die.
12 Los hijos de Simeón por sus familias: de Nemuel, la familia de los nemuelitas; de Jamín, la familia de los jaminitas; de Jaquín, la familia de los jaquinitas;

of Zerah the family of the Zerahite; of Shaul the family of the Shaulite.
14 Estas son las familias de los simeonitas, veintidós mil doscientos.
These [are] families of the Simeonite—twenty-two thousand and two hundred.
15 Los hijos de Gad por sus familias: de Zefón, la familia de los zefonitas; de Haggi, la familia de los haggitas; de Suni, la familia de los sunitas;
Sons of Gad by their families: of Zephon [is] the family of the Zephonite; of Haggi the family of the Haggite; of Shuni the family of the Shunite;
16 de Ozni, la familia de los oznitas; de Eri, la familia de los eritas;
of Ozni the family of the Oznite; of Eri the family of the Erite:
17 de Arod, la familia de los aroditas; de Areli, la familia de los arelitas.

These [are] families of the sons of Gad by their numbered ones—forty thousand and five hundred.
19 Los hijos de Judá: Er y Onán. Er y Onán murieron en la tierra de Canaán.
Sons of Judah [are] Er and Onan; and Er dies—Onan also—in the land of Canaan.
20 Los hijos de Judá por sus familias fueron: de Selá, la familia de los selanitas; de Fares, la familia de los pérezicos; de Zera, la familia de los zeraitas.
And sons of Judah by their families are: of Shelah the family of the Shelanite; of Perez the family of the Perezite; of Zerah the family of the Zerahite;
21 Los hijos de Fares fueron: de Esrom, la familia de los Esromitas; de Hamul, la familia de los hamulitas.
and sons of Perez are: of Hezron the family of the Hezronite; of Hamul the family of the Hamulite.
22 Estas son las familias de Judá según los contados de ellas, setenta y seis mil quinientos.
These [are] families of Judah by their numbered ones—seventy-six thousand and five hundred.
23 Los hijos de Isacar por sus familias: de Tola, la familia de los tolaítas; de Puva, la familia de los punítas;
Sons of Issachar by their families: of Tola [is] the family of the Tolaite; of Pua the family of the Punite;
24 de Jasub, la familia de los jasubitas; de Simrón, la familia de los simronitas.
of Jashub the family of the Jashubite; of Shimron the family of the Shimronite.
25 Estas son las familias de Isacar según los contados de ellas, sesenta y cuatro mil trescientos.
These [are] families of Issachar by their numbered ones—sixty-four thousand and three hundred.
26 Los hijos de Zabulón por sus familias: de Sered, la familia de los sereditas; de Elón, la familia de los elonitas; de Jahleel, la familia de los jahleelitas.
Sons of Zebulun by their families: of Sered [is] the family of the Sardite; of Elon the family of the Elonite; of Jahleel the family of the Jahleelite.
27 Estas son las familias de los zabulonitas según los contados de ellos, sesenta mil quinientos.
These [are] families of the Zebulunite by their numbered ones—sixty thousand and five hundred.
28 Los hijos de José según sus familias: Manasés y Efraín.
Sons of Joseph by their families [are] Manasseh and Ephraim.
29 Los hijos de Manasés: de Maquir, la familia de los maquiritas; y Maquir fue el padre de Galaad; de Galaad, la familia de los galaaditas.
Sons of Manasseh: of Machir [is] the family of the Machirite; and Machir has begotten Gilead; of Gilead [is] the family of the Gileadite.
30 Estos son los hijos de Galaad: de Jezer, la familia de los Jezeritas; de Helec, la familia de los Helequitas;
These [are] sons of Gilead: of Jeezer [is] the family of the Jeezerite; of Helek the family of the Helekite;
31 y de Asriel, la familia de los Asrielitas; y de Siquem, la familia de los Siquemitas;
and of Asriel the family of the Asrielite; and of Shechem the family of the Shechemite;
32 y de Semida, la familia de los Semidaitas; y de Hefer, la familia de los Heferitas.
and of Shemida the family of the Shemidaite; and of Hepher the family of the Hepherite.
33 Zelofehad, hijo de Hefer, no tuvo hijos, sino hijas; y los nombres de las hijas de Zelofehad fueron Maalá, Noa, Hogiá, Milca y Tirsa.
And Zelophehad son of Hepher had no sons, but [only] daughters, and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad [are] Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
34 Estas son las familias de Manasés. Los contados de ellos fueron cincuenta y dos mil setecientos.
These [are] families of Manasseh, and their numbered ones [are] fifty-two thousand and seven hundred.
35 Estos son los hijos de Efraín por sus familias: de Sutela, la familia de los Sutelitas; de Bequer, la familia de los Bequeritas; de Tahan, la familia de los Tahanitas.
These [are] sons of Ephraim by their families: of Shuthelah [is] the family of the Shuthelhite; of Becher the family of the Bachrite; of Tahan the family of the Tahanite.
36 Estos son los hijos de Sutela: de Erán, la familia de los eranitas.
And these [are] sons of Shuthelah: of Eran the family of the Eranite.
37 Estas son las familias de los hijos de Efraín, según los contados de ellos, treinta y dos mil quinientos. Estos son los hijos de José por sus familias.
These [are] families of the sons of Ephraim by their numbered ones—thirty-two thousand and five hundred. These [are] sons of Joseph by their families.
38 Los hijos de Benjamín por sus familias: de Bela, la familia de los belaítas; de Asbel, la familia de los asbelitas; de Ahiram, la familia de los ahiramitas;
Sons of Benjamin by their families: of Bela [is] the family of the Belaite; of Ashbel the family of the Ashbelite; of Ahiram the family of the Ahiramite;
39 de Sefufam, la familia de los sefufamitas; de Hufam, la familia de los hufamitas.
of Shupham the family of the Shuphamite; of Hupham the family of the Huphamite.
40 Los hijos de Bela fueron Ard y Naamán: la familia de los arditas; y de Naamán, la familia de los naamitas.
And sons of Bela are Ard and Naaman: [of Ard is] the family of the Ardite; of Naaman the family of the Naamite.
41 Estos son los hijos de Benjamín por sus familias; y los contados de ellos fueron cuarenta y cinco mil seiscientos.
These [are] sons of Benjamin by their families, and their numbered ones [are] forty-five thousand and six hundred.
42 Estos son los hijos de Dan por sus familias: de Suham, la familia de los suhamitas. Estas son las familias de Dan por sus familias.
These [are] sons of Dan by their families: of Shuham [is] the family of the Shuhamite; these [are] families of Dan by their families;

all the families of the Shuhamite by their numbered ones—sixty-four thousand and four hundred.
44 Los hijos de Aser por sus familias: de Imna, la familia de los imnitas; de Imna, la familia de los imnitas; de Beriá, la familia de los beritas.
Sons of Asher by their families: of Jimna [is] the family of the Jimnite; of Jesui the family of the Jesuite; of Beriah the family of the Beriite.
45 De los hijos de Beriá: de Heber, la familia de los heberitas; de Malquiel, la familia de los malquielitas.
Of sons of Beriah: of Heber [is] the family of the Heberite; of Malchiel the family of the Malchielite.
46 El nombre de la hija de Aser fue Sera.
And the name of the daughter of Asher [is] Sarah.
47 Estas son las familias de los hijos de Aser según los contados de ellos, cincuenta y tres mil cuatrocientos.
These [are] families of the sons of Asher by their numbered ones—fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
48 Los hijos de Neftalí por sus familias: de Jahzeel, la familia de los jahzeelitas; de Guni, la familia de los gunitas;
Sons of Naphtali by their families: of Jahzeel [is] the family of the Jahzeelite; of Guni the family of the Gunite;
49 de Jezer, la familia de los jezeritas; de Silem, la familia de los silemitas.
of Jezer the family of the Jezerite; of Shillem the family of the Shillemite.
50 Estas son las familias de Neftalí según sus familias; y los contados de ellas fueron cuarenta y cinco mil cuatrocientos.
These [are] families of Naphtali by their families, and their numbered ones [are] forty-five thousand and four hundred.
51 Estos son los contados de los hijos de Israel, seiscientos un mil setecientos treinta.
These [are] numbered ones of the sons of Israel—six hundred thousand and one thousand seven hundred and thirty.
52 Yahvé habló a Moisés diciendo:
And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
53 “A éstos se les repartirá la tierra en herencia según el número de nombres.
“The land is apportioned to these by inheritance, by the number of names;
54 A los más les darás más herencia, y a los menos les darás menos herencia. A cada uno se le dará su herencia según los contados de él.
to the many you increase their inheritance, and to the few you diminish their inheritance; each is given his inheritance according to his numbered ones.
55 Sin embargo, la tierra se dividirá por sorteo. Según los nombres de las tribus de sus padres heredarán.
Surely the land is apportioned by lot; they inherit by the names of the tribes of their fathers;
56 Según la suerte se repartirá su herencia entre los más y los menos”.
their inheritance is apportioned according to the lot between many and few.”
57 Estos son los contados de los levitas según sus familias: de Gersón, la familia de los gersonitas; de Coat, la familia de los coatitas; de Merari, la familia de los meraritas.
And these [are] numbered ones of the Levite by their families: of Gershon [is] the family of the Gershonite; of Kohath the family of the Kohathite; of Merari the family of the Merarite.
58 Estas son las familias de Leví: la familia de los libnitas, la familia de los hebronitas, la familia de los mahlitas, la familia de los musitas y la familia de los coreitas. Coat fue el padre de Amram.
These [are] families of the Levite: the family of the Libnite, the family of the Hebronite, the family of the Mahlite, the family of the Mushite, the family of the Korathite. And Kohath has begotten Amram,
59 El nombre de la esposa de Amram era Jocabed, hija de Leví, que había nacido de Leví en Egipto. Ella dio a luz a Amram, a Aarón y a Moisés, y a su hermana Miriam.
and the name of Amram’s wife is Jochebed, daughter of Levi, whom has been born to Levi in Egypt; and she bears to Amram Aaron, and Moses, and their sister Miriam.
60 De Aarón nacieron Nadab y Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
And born to Aaron [are] Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar;
61 Nadab y Abiú murieron cuando ofrecieron fuego extraño ante Yahvé.
and Nadab dies—Abihu also—in their bringing strange fire near before YHWH.
62 Los que fueron contados de ellos fueron veintitrés mil, todos los varones de un mes para arriba; pues no fueron contados entre los hijos de Israel, porque no se les dio herencia entre los hijos de Israel.
And their numbered ones are twenty-three thousand, every male from a son of a month and upwards, for they have not numbered themselves in the midst of the sons of Israel, because an inheritance has not been given to them in the midst of the sons of Israel.
63 Estos son los que fueron contados por Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar, quienes contaron a los hijos de Israel en los llanos de Moab, junto al Jordán de Jericó.
These [are] those numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who have numbered the sons of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, [near] Jericho;
64 Pero entre éstos no hubo ninguno de los que fueron contados por Moisés y el sacerdote Aarón, que contaron a los hijos de Israel en el desierto de Sinaí.
and among these there has not been a man of those numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai,
65 Porque Yahvé había dicho de ellos: “Ciertamente morirán en el desierto”. No quedó ningún hombre de ellos, excepto Caleb, hijo de Jefone, y Josué, hijo de Nun.
for YHWH said of them, “They certainly die in the wilderness”; and there has not been left a man of them, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
