Números 10

1 Yahvé habló a Moisés diciendo:

And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

2 “Haz dos trompetas de plata. Las harás de plata labrada. Las usarás para llamar a la congregación y para el desplazamiento de los campamentos.

Make unto thyself two trumpets of silver, beaten out of one piece shalt thou make them; and they shall serve thee for the calling of the congregation, and for the setting forward of the camps.

3 Cuando las toquen, toda la congregación se reunirá contigo a la puerta de la Tienda de Reunión.

And when they shall blow with both, all the congregation shall assemble themselves unto thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

4 Si tocan una sola, los príncipes, los jefes de los millares de Israel, se reunirán contigo.

And if they blow with but one, then shall assemble themselves unto thee the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel.

5 Cuando toques una alarma, los campamentos que se encuentran en el lado oriental avanzarán.

And when ye blow an alarm, then shall set forward the camps that encamp on the east side.

6 Cuando toques la alarma por segunda vez, los campamentos que se encuentran en el lado sur se adelantarán. Tocarán la alarma para sus desplazamientos.

And when ye blow an alarm the second time, then shall set forward the camps that encamp on the south side: an alarm shall they blow for their setting forward.

7 Pero cuando se reúna la asamblea, tocaréis, pero no haréis sonar la alarma.

But at the assembling of the assembly, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.

8 “Los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, tocarán las trompetas. Esto os servirá de estatuto para siempre por vuestras generaciones.

And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.

9 Cuando vayas a la guerra en tu tierra contra el adversario que te oprime, entonces tocarás la alarma con las trompetas. Entonces serás recordado ante el Señor, tu Dios, y te salvarás de tus enemigos.

And if ye go to war in your land against the oppressor that oppresseth you, then shall ye blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

10 “También en el día de tu alegría, y en tus fiestas establecidas, y en los comienzos de tus meses, tocarás las trompetas sobre tus holocaustos y sobre los sacrificios de tus ofrendas de paz; y te servirán de recuerdo ante tu Dios. Yo soy Yahvé, tu Dios”.

And on the day of your gladness, and on your appointed festivals, and on the beginnings of your months, shall ye blow with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the Lord your God.

11 En el segundo año, en el segundo mes, a los veinte días del mes, la nube se levantó de encima del tabernáculo de la alianza.

And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.

12 Los hijos de Israel salieron del desierto de Sinaí, y la nube se quedó en el desierto de Parán.

And the children of Israel set forward on their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud halted in the wilderness of Paran.

13 Primero avanzaron según el mandato de Yahvé por medio de Moisés.

And they set forward for the first time at the order of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

14 En primer lugar, el estandarte del campamento de los hijos de Judá avanzó según sus ejércitos. Naasón hijo de Aminadab estaba al frente de su ejército.

And the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward at the first, according to their armies: and over their host was Nachshon the son of 'Amminadab.

15 Natanael hijo de Zuar estaba al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Isacar.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.

16 Eliab hijo de Helón estaba al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Zabulón.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Chelon.

17 El tabernáculo fue desmontado, y los hijos de Gersón y los hijos de Merari, que llevaban el tabernáculo, avanzaron.

And [in the mean time] the tabernacle was taken down; and then set forward the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, the bearers of the tabernacle.

18 El estandarte del campamento de Rubén avanzó según sus ejércitos. Elizur hijo de Sedeur estaba al frente de su ejército.

Then set forward the standard of the camp of Reuben, according to their armies: and over their host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.

19 Selumiel hijo de Zurishaddai estaba al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Simeón.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

20 Eliasaf hijo de Deuel estaba al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Gad.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Elyassaph the son of Deuel.

21 Los coatitas se adelantaron llevando el santuario. Los demás montaron el tabernáculo antes de que ellos llegaran.

And then set forward the Kehathites, the bearers of the sanctuary: and the others set up the tabernacle against they came.

22 El estandarte del campamento de los hijos de Efraín avanzaba según sus ejércitos. Elisama hijo de Amiud estaba al frente de su ejército.

Then set forward the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim according to their armies; and over their host was Elishama the son of 'Ammihud.

23 Gamaliel hijo de Pedahzur estaba al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Manasés.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Menasseh was Gamliel the son of Pedahzur.

24 Abidán hijo de Gedeón estaba al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gidoni.

25 El estandarte del campamento de los hijos de Dan, que era la retaguardia de todos los campamentos, avanzaba según sus ejércitos. Ahiezer hijo de Amisada estaba al frente de su ejército.

Then set forward the standard of the camp of the children of Dan, the rereward of all the camps, according to their hosts: and over their host was Achiezer the son of 'Ammishaddai.

26 Pagiel hijo de Ocrán estaba al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Aser.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of 'Ochran.

27 Ahira hijo de Enán estaba al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Neftalí.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Achira the son of 'Enan.

28 Así fueron los viajes de los hijos de Israel según sus ejércitos; y avanzaron.

In this order were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.

29 Moisés le dijo a Hobab, hijo de Reuel el madianita, el suegro de Moisés: “Nos dirigimos al lugar del que Yahvé dijo: ‘Te lo daré’. Ven con nosotros y te trataremos bien, porque Yahvé ha hablado bien de Israel”.

And Moses said unto Chobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, the father-in-law of Moses, We are journeying unto the place of which the Lord hath said, This will I give unto you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good; for the Lord hath spoken [to bring] good upon Israel.

30 Le dijo: “No iré, sino que me iré a mi tierra y a mis parientes”.

And he said unto him, I will not go; but to my own land, and to my birthplace will I go.

31 Moisés dijo: “No nos dejes, por favor; porque tú sabes cómo hemos de acampar en el desierto, y puedes ser nuestros ojos.

And he said, Do not, I pray thee, leave us; since thou didst find out the places where we were to encamp in the wilderness, and thou hast been to us instead of eyes.

32 Será, si vas con nosotros — sí, será — que todo lo bueno que haga Yahvé con nosotros, nosotros haremos lo mismo con ustedes.”

And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that the same goodness which the Lord may do unto us, will we do unto thee.

33 Partieron del monte de Yahvé a tres días de camino. El arca de la alianza de Yahvé iba delante de ellos a tres días de camino, para buscarles un lugar de descanso.

And they set forward from the mount of the Lord a three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them in the three days' journey, to search out for them a resting-place.

34 La nube del Señor estaba sobre ellos durante el día, cuando partían del campamento.

And the cloud of the Lord was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.

35 Cuando el arca se adelantó, Moisés dijo: “¡Levántate, Yahvé, y que se dispersen tus enemigos! Que los que te odian huyan ante ti”.

And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let thy enemies be scattered; and let those that hate thee flee before thy face.

36 Cuando descansó, dijo: “Vuelve, Yahvé, a los diez mil de los miles de Israel”.

And when it rested, he said, Return, O Lord, among thy myriads of the thousands of Israel.
