Nehemías 12

1 Estos son los sacerdotes y levitas que subieron con Zorobabel, hijo de Salatiel, y con Jesúa: Seraías, Jeremías, Esdras,

Now, these, are the priests and the Levites, who came up with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua, —Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra;

2 Amarías, Malluch, Hattush,

Amariah, Malluch, Hattush;

3 Secanías, Rehum, Meremot,

Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth;

4 Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abías,

Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah;

5 Mijamín, Maadia, Bilgah,

Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah;

6 Semaías, Joiarib, Jedaías,

Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah;

7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah y Jedaías. Estos eran los jefes de los sacerdotes y de sus hermanos en los días de Jesúa.

Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah, —these, were the chiefs of the priests and their brethren, in the days of Jeshua.

8 Además, los levitas eran Jesúa, Binúi, Cadmiel, Serebías, Judá y Matanías, que estaba a cargo de los cantos de acción de gracias, él y sus hermanos.

And, the Levites, Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, Mattaniah, —over the choirs, he and his brethren;

9 También Bakbucías y Unno, sus hermanos, estaban cerca de ellos según sus cargos.

and Bakbukiah and Unno their brethren, were over against them, in wards.

10 Jesúa fue padre de Joiaquim, y Joiaquim fue padre de Eliasib, y Eliasib fue padre de Joiada,

And Jeshua, begat Joiakim, —and Joiakim, begat Eliashib, and, Eliashib, [begat] Joiada;

11 y Joiada fue padre de Jonatán, y Jonatán fue padre de Jaddua.

and, Joiada, begat Jonathan, —and, Jonathan, begat Jaddua.

12 En los días de Joiakim había sacerdotes, jefes de familia de los padres: de Seraías, Meraías; de Jeremías, Hananías;

And, in the days of Joiakim, were priests, ancestral chiefs, —of Seraiah, Meraiah, of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

13 de Esdras, Mesulam; de Amarías, Johanán;

of Ezra, Meshullam, —of Amariah, Jehohanan;

14 de Malluchi, Jonatán; de Sebanías, José;

of Malluchi, Jonathan, —of Shebaniah, Joseph;

15 de Harim, Adna; de Meraiot, Helkai;

of Harim, Adna, —of Meraioth, Helkai;

16 de Iddo, Zacarías; de Ginetón, Mesulam;

of Iddo, Zechariah, —of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

17 de Abías, Zicri; de Miniamin, de Moadías, Piltai;

of Abijah, Zichri, —of Miniamin, of Moadiah, Piltai;

18 de Bilgah, Sammua; de Semaías, Jonatán;

of Bilgah, Shammua, —of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;

19 de Joiarib, Mattenai; de Jedaías, Uzzi;

and, of Joiarib, Mattenai, —of Jedaiah, Uzzi;

20 de Sallai, Kallai; de Amok, Heber;

of Sallai, Kallai, —of Amok, Eber;

21 de Hilcías, Hasabías; de Jedaías, Netanel.

of Hilkiah, Hashabiah, —of Jedaiah, Nethanel.

22 En cuanto a los levitas, en los días de Eliasib, Joiada, Johanán y Jaddua, se registraron los jefes de familia; también los sacerdotes, en el reinado de Darío el Persa.

The Levites—in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded as ancestral chiefs, —also the priests, unto the reign of Darius the Persian.

23 Los hijos de Leví, jefes de familia, fueron inscritos en el libro de las crónicas, hasta los días de Johanán hijo de Eliasib.

the sons of Levi, ancestral heads, were written in the book of Chronicles, —even until the days of Johanan, son of Eliashib.

24 Los jefes de los levitas: Hasabías, Serebías y Jesúa hijo de Cadmiel, con sus hermanos cerca de ellos, para alabar y dar gracias según el mandato de David, el hombre de Dios, sección tras sección.

And, the chiefs of the Levites, Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise—to give thanks, by the commandment of David the man of God, —ward joined to ward.

25 Matanías, Bacbuquías, Abdías, Mesulam, Talmón y Acub eran guardianes de las puertas, que vigilaban los almacenes de las puertas.

Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were watchers, doorkeepers of the ward, in the storehouses of the gates.

26 Estos eran en los días de Joiaquim hijo de Jesúa, hijo de Josadac, y en los días del gobernador Nehemías y del sacerdote y escriba Esdras.

These, were in the days of Joiakim, son of Jeshua, son of Jozadak, —and in the days of Nehemiah the pasha, and Ezra the priest the scribe.

27 En la dedicación del muro de Jerusalén, buscaron a los levitas de todos sus lugares para traerlos a Jerusalén a celebrar la dedicación con alegría, dando gracias y cantando, con címbalos, instrumentos de cuerda y arpas.

And, at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, they sought the Levites, out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, —to keep the dedication and the rejoicing, both with thanksgiving and with music, cymbals, harps, and with lyres.

28 Los hijos de los cantores se reunieron, tanto de la llanura que rodea a Jerusalén como de las aldeas de los netofatitas;

So the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, —both out of the circuit round about Jerusalem, and out of the villages of the Netophathites;

29 también de Bet Gilgal y de los campos de Geba y Azmavet, porque los cantores se habían construido aldeas alrededor de Jerusalén.

also out of Beth-gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba, and Azmaveth, —for, villages, had the singers builded for themselves, round about Jerusalem.

30 Los sacerdotes y los levitas se purificaron, y purificaron el pueblo, las puertas y el muro.

And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, —and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

31 Entonces hice subir a los príncipes de Judá al muro, y designé dos grandes compañías que dieron gracias y fueron en procesión. Una iba a la derecha en el muro, hacia la puerta del estiércol;

Then brought I up the rulers of Judah upon the wall, —and I appointed two large choirs, even to go in procession to the right, upon the wall, towards the dung-gate;

32 y tras ellos iban Oseas, con la mitad de los príncipes de Judá,

and after them went Hoshaiah, and half the rulers of Judah;

33 y Azarías, Esdras y Mesulam,

then Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam;

34 Judá, Benjamín, Semaías, Jeremías,

Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah;

35 y algunos de los hijos de los sacerdotes con trompetas: Zacarías hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Semaías, hijo de Matanías, hijo de Micaías, hijo de Zacur, hijo de Asaf;

and, of the sons of the priests, with trumpets, Zechariah—son of Jonathan—son of Shemaiah—son of Mattaniah, son of Micaiah, son of Zaccur, son of Asaph;

36 y sus hermanos, Semaías, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Netanel, Judá y Hanani, con los instrumentos musicales de David, el hombre de Dios; y el escriba Esdras estaba delante de ellos.

and his brethren—Shemaiah and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, Hanani, with the instruments of music of David, the man of God, —with Ezra the scribe before them;

37 Por la puerta del manantial, y en línea recta delante de ellos, subieron por las escaleras de la ciudad de David, en la subida del muro, por encima de la casa de David, hasta la puerta de las aguas, hacia el este.

and, over they fountain gate and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, —above the house of David, even as far as the water-gate, eastward.

38 La otra compañía de los que daban gracias salió a su encuentro, y yo tras ellos, con la mitad del pueblo en el muro, por encima de la torre de los hornos, hasta el muro ancho,

And, the second choir, was going over against them, I, following it, —with the half of the people upon the wall, above the tower of the ovens, even as far as the broad wall;

39 y por encima de la puerta de Efraín, y por la puerta vieja, y por la puerta del pescado, la torre de Hananel, y la torre de Hammea, hasta la puerta de las ovejas; y se detuvieron en la puerta de la guardia.

and above the gate of Ephraim, and upon the old gate, and upon the fish-gate, and the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hammeah, even as far as the sheep-gate, —and they came to a stand, at the gate of the guard.

40 Las dos compañías de los que daban gracias en la casa de Dios estaban en pie, y yo y la mitad de los jefes conmigo;

So the two choirs, came to a stand, at the house of God, —and I, and half the deputies with me;

41 y los sacerdotes, Eliaquim, Maasías, Miniamin, Micaías, Elioenai, Zacarías y Hananías, con trompetas;

and, the priests—Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;

42 y Maasías, Semaías, Eleazar, Uzi, Johanán, Malquías, Elam y Ezer. Los cantores cantaban en voz alta, con Jezrahías, su supervisor.

and Maaseiah and Shemaiah and Eleazar and Uzzi and Jehohanan and Malchijah and Elam and Ezer, —and the musicians sounded, aloud with Jezrahiah who was over them.

43 Aquel día ofrecieron grandes sacrificios y se regocijaron, porque Dios los había hecho gozar con gran alegría; y también se regocijaron las mujeres y los niños, de modo que la alegría de Jerusalén se oyó hasta muy lejos.

And they sacrificed, on that day, great sacrifices, and rejoiced, for, God, had caused them to rejoice with great joy, moreover also, the women and children, rejoiced, —so that the rejoicing of Jerusalem was heard afar off.

44 Aquel día se designaron hombres sobre las salas para los tesoros, para las ofrendas de las olas, para las primicias y para los diezmos, a fin de recoger en ellas, según los campos de las ciudades, las porciones señaladas por la ley para los sacerdotes y los levitas; porque Judá se alegró por los sacerdotes y por los levitas que servían.

And there were set in charge, on that day, certain men, over the chambers for the treasures, for the heave-offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them, out of the fields of the cities, the portions appointed by the law, for the priests, and for the Levites, —for, the joy of Judah, was over the priests and over the Levites, who were remaining.

45 Ellos cumplían el deber de su Dios y el deber de la purificación, y lo mismo hacían los cantores y los porteros, según el mandato de David y de Salomón su hijo.

So they kept the charge of their God, and the charge of the purification, and [so did] the singers and the doorkeepers, —according to the commandment of David and of Solomon his son.

46 Porque en los días de David y de Asaf de antaño había un jefe de los cantores, y cantos de alabanza y de acción de gracias a Dios.

For, in the days of David and Asaph, of old, there were chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving, unto God.

47 Todo Israel, en los días de Zorobabel y en los días de Nehemías, dio las porciones de los cantores y de los porteros, según cada día; y apartaron lo que era para los levitas; y los levitas apartaron lo que era para los hijos de Aarón.

Now, all Israel—in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, used to give the portions of the singers and the doorkeepers, the need of a day upon its day, —and they hallowed them unto the Levites, and, the Levites, hallowed them unto the sons of Aaron.
