1 El libro de la genealogía de Jesucristo, hijo de David, hijo de Abraham.
The booke of the generation of Jesus Christ the sonne of Dauid, the sonne of Abraham.
2 Abraham fue el padre de Isaac. Isaac fue el padre de Jacob. Jacob fue el padre de Judá y sus hermanos.
Abraham begate Isaac. And Isaac begate Iacob. And Iacob begat Iudas and his brethren.
3 Judá fue el padre de Fares y Zara por Tamar. Fares fue el padre de Esrom. Esrom fue el padre de Aram.
And Iudas begate Phares, and Zara of Thamar. And Phares begate Esrom. And Esrom begate Aram.
4 Aram fue el padre de Aminadab. Aminadab fue el padre de Naasón. Naasón fue el padre de Salmón.
And Aram begate Aminadab. And Aminadab begate Naasson. And Naasson begat Salmon.
5 Salmón fue el padre de Booz, de Rahab. Booz fue el padre de Obed por Rut. Obed fue el padre de Isaí.
And Salmon begate Booz of Rachab. And Booz begat Obed of Ruth. and Obed begat Iesse.
6 Isaí fue el padre del rey David. El rey David fue padre de Salomón por la que había sido esposa de Urías.
And Iesse begate Dauid the King. And Dauid the King begate Salomon of her that was the wife of Vrias.
7 Salomón fue padre de Roboam. Roboam fue padre de Abías. Abías fue el padre de Asa.
And Salomon begate Roboam. And Roboam begate Abia. And Abia begate Asa.
8 Asa fue el padre de Josafat. Josafat fue el padre de Joram. Joram fue el padre de Uzías.
And Asa begate Iosaphat. And Iosaphat begate Ioram. And Ioram begate Hozias.
9 Uzías fue el padre de Jotam. Jotam fue el padre de Acaz. Acaz fue el padre de Ezequías.
And Hozias begat Ioatham. And Ioatham begate Achaz. And Achaz begate Ezekias.
10 Ezequías fue padre de Manasés. Manasés fue el padre de Amón. Amón fue el padre de Josías.
And Ezekias begate Manasses. And Manasses begate Amon. And Amon begate Iosias.
11 Josías fue el padre de Jechoniah y sus hermanos en el momento del exilio a Babilonia.
And Iosias begate Iakim. And Iakim begate Iechonias and his brethren about the time they were caried away to Babylon.
12 Después del exilio a Babilonia, Jechoniah fue el padre de Salatiel. Salatiel fue el padre de Zorobabel.
And after they were caried away into Babylon, Iechonias begate Salathiel. And Salathiel begate Zorobabel.
13 Zorobabel fue el padre de Abiud. Abiud fue el padre de Eliaquim. Eliaquim fue el padre de Azor.
And Zorobabel begate Abiud. And Abiud begate Eliacim. And Eliacim begate Azor.
14 Azor fue el padre de Sadoc. Sadoc fue el padre de Aquim. Aquim fue el padre de Eliud.
And Azor begate Sadoc. And Sadoc begate Achim. And Achim begate Eliud.
15 Eliud fue el padre de Eleazar. Eleazar fue el padre de Matán. Matán fue el padre de Jacob.
And Eliud begate Eleazar. And Eleazar begate Matthan. And Matthan begate Iacob.
16 Jacob fue el padre de José, el esposo de María, de quien nació Jesús, llamado Cristo.
And Iacob begat Ioseph ye husband of Mary, of whom was borne Jesus, that is called Christ.
17 Así que todas las generaciones desde Abraham hasta David son catorce generaciones; desde David hasta el exilio a Babilonia, catorce generaciones; y desde el exilio a Babilonia hasta el Cristo, catorce generaciones.
So all the generations from Abraham to Dauid, are fourtene generations. And from Dauid vntil they were caried away into Babylon, fourtene generations: and after they were caried away into Babylon vntill Christ, fourteene generations.
18 El nacimiento de Jesucristo fue así: Después de que su madre, María, se comprometiera con José, antes de que se juntasen, fue hallada embarazada por el Espíritu Santo.
Nowe the birth of Jesus Christ was thus, When as his mother Mary was betrothed to Ioseph, before they came together, shee was found with childe of the holy Ghost.
19 José, su marido, siendo un hombre justo, y no queriendo hacer de ella un ejemplo público, pensaba repudiarla en secreto.
Then Ioseph her husband being a iust man, and not willing to make her a publike example, was minded to put her away secretly.
20 Pero cuando pensaba en estas cosas, he aquí que un ángel del Señor se le apareció en sueños, diciendo: “José, hijo de David, no temas recibir a María como esposa, porque lo que ha sido concebido en ella es del Espíritu Santo.
But whiles he thought these things, behold, the Angel of the Lord appeared vnto him in a dreame, saying, Ioseph, the sonne of Dauid, feare not to take Mary thy wife: for that which is conceiued in her, is of the holy Ghost.
21 Ella dará a luz un hijo. Le pondrás el nombre de Jesús, porque es él quien salvará a su pueblo de sus pecados”.
And she shall bring foorth a sonne, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for hee shall saue his people from their sinnes.
22 Todo esto ha sucedido para que se cumpla lo dicho por el Señor por medio del profeta, que dijo
And al this was done that it might be fulfilled, which is spoken of the Lord by ye Prophet, saying,
23 “He aquí que la virgen quedará encinta, y dará a luz un hijo. Llamarán su nombre Emanuel”. que es, interpretado, “Dios con nosotros”.
Behold, a virgine shalbe with childe, and shall beare a sonne, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is by interpretation, God with vs.
24 José se levantó de su sueño e hizo lo que el ángel del Señor le había ordenado, y tomó a su mujer para sí;
Then Ioseph, being raised from sleepe, did as the Angel of the Lord had inioyned him, and tooke his wife.
25 y no la conoció sexualmente hasta que dio a luz a su hijo primogénito. Le puso el nombre de Jesús.
But he knew her not, til she had broght forth her first borne sonne, and he called his name JESUS.
