Marcos 7
1 Entonces se reunieron con él los fariseos y algunos de los escribas, que habían venido de Jerusalén.
And there assembled together unto him the Pharisees and some of the scribes, coming from Jerusalem.
2 Al ver que algunos de sus discípulos comían el pan con las manos manchadas, es decir, sin lavar, se quejaron.
And when they had seen some of his disciples eat bread with common, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault.
3 (Porque los fariseos y todos los judíos no comen si no se lavan las manos y los antebrazos, siguiendo la tradición de los ancianos.
For the Pharisees, and all the Jews eat not without often washing their hands, holding the tradition of the ancients:
4 No comen cuando vienen de la plaza si no se bañan, y hay otras muchas cosas que han recibido para aferrarse a ellas: lavados de copas, cántaros, vasos de bronce y camillas).
And when they come from the market, unless they be washed, they eat not: and many other things there are that have been delivered to them to observe, the washings of cups and of pots, and of brazen vessels, and of beds.
5 Los fariseos y los escribas le preguntaron: “¿Por qué tus discípulos no andan según la tradición de los ancianos, sino que comen el pan con las manos sin lavar?”
And the Pharisees and scribes asked him: Why do not thy disciples walk according to the tradition of the ancients, but they eat bread with common hands?
6 Les respondió: “Bien profetizó Isaías de vosotros, hipócritas, como está escrito, ‘Este pueblo me honra con sus labios, pero su corazón está lejos de mí.
But he answering, said to them: Well did Isaias prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 Me adoran en vano, enseñando como doctrinas los mandamientos de los hombres.”
And in vain to they worship me, teaching doctrines and precepts of men.
8 “Porque dejáis de lado el mandamiento de Dios, y os aferráis a la tradición de los hombres: el lavado de los cántaros y de las copas, y hacéis otras muchas cosas semejantes.”
For leaving the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men, the washing of pots and of cups: and many other things you do like to these.
9 Él les dijo: “Bien rechazáis el mandamiento de Dios para mantener vuestra tradición.
And he said to them: Well do you make void the commandment of God, that you may keep your own tradition.
10 Porque Moisés dijo: ‘Honra a tu padre y a tu madre,’ y ‘El que hable mal del padre o de la madre, que muera’.
For Moses said: Honour thy father and thy mother; and He that shall curse father or mother, dying let him die.
11 Pero vosotros decís: “Si un hombre dice a su padre o a su madre: “Cualquier beneficio que hayas recibido de mí es “corbán”, es decir, entregado a Dios,
But you say: If a man shall say to his father or mother, Corban, (which is a gift, ) whatsoever is from me, shall profit thee.
12 “entonces ya no le permitís hacer nada por su padre o por su madre,
And further you suffer him not to do any thing for his father or mother,
13 anulando la palabra de Dios por vuestra tradición que habéis transmitido. Vosotros hacéis muchas cosas así”.
Making void the word of God by your own tradition, which you have given forth. And many other such like things you do.
14 Llamó a toda la multitud y les dijo: “Oídme todos y entended.
And calling again the multitude unto him, he said to them: Hear ye me all, and understand.
15 Nada de lo que sale del hombre puede contaminarle; pero lo que sale del hombre es lo que le contamina.
There is nothing from without a man that entering into him, can defile him. But the things which come from a man, those are they that defile a man.
16 Si alguien tiene oídos para oír, que oiga”.
If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
17 Cuando entró en una casa lejos de la multitud, sus discípulos le preguntaron por la parábola.
And when he was come into the house from the multitude, his disciples asked him the parable.
18 Él les dijo: “¿También vosotros estáis sin entendimiento? ¿No os dais cuenta de que todo lo que entra en el hombre desde fuera no puede contaminarle,
And he saith to them: So are you also without knowledge? understand you not that every thing from without, entering into a man cannot defile him:
19 porque no entra en su corazón, sino en su estómago, y luego en la letrina, con lo que todos los alimentos quedan limpios?”
Because it entereth not into his heart, but goeth into the belly, and goeth out into the privy, purging all meats?
20 El dijo: “Lo que sale del hombre, eso contamina al hombre.
But he said that the things which come out from a man, they defile a man.
21 Porque de dentro, del corazón de los hombres, salen los malos pensamientos, los adulterios, los pecados sexuales, los asesinatos, los robos,
For from within out of the heart of men proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 las codicias, la maldad, el engaño, los deseos lujuriosos, el mal de ojo, la blasfemia, la soberbia y la necedad.
Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
23 Todas estas cosas malas salen de dentro y contaminan al hombre”.
All these evil things come from within, and defile a man.
24 De allí se levantó y se fue a los límites de Tiro y Sidón. Entró en una casa y no quiso que nadie lo supiera, pero no pudo pasar desapercibido.
And rising from thence he went into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon: and entering into a house, he would that no man should know it, and he could not be hid.
25 Porque una mujer cuya hija pequeña tenía un espíritu impuro, al oír hablar de él, vino y se postró a sus pies.
For a woman as soon as she heard of him, whose daughter had an unclean spirit, came in and fell down at his feet.
26 La mujer era griega, de raza sirofenicia. Le rogó que expulsara el demonio de su hija.
For the woman was a Gentile, a Syrophenician born. And she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
27 Pero Jesús le dijo: “Deja que se sacien primero los niños, porque no conviene tomar el pan de los niños y echarlo a los perros.”
Who said to her: Suffer first the children to be filled: for it is not good to take the bread of the children, and cast it to the dogs.
28 Pero ella le respondió: “Sí, Señor. Pero hasta los perros que están debajo de la mesa se comen las migajas de los niños”.
But she answered and said to him: Yea, Lord; for the whelps also eat under the table of the crumbs of the children.
29 Le dijo: “Por este dicho, vete. El demonio ha salido de tu hija”.
And he said to her: For this saying go thy way, the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
30 Se fue a su casa y encontró al niño acostado en la cama, con el demonio fuera.
And when she was come into her house, she found the girl lying upon the bed, and that the devil was gone out.
31 Volvió a salir de los límites de Tiro y Sidón, y llegó al mar de Galilea por el centro de la región de Decápolis.
And again going out of the coasts of Tyre, he came by Sidon to the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
32 Le trajeron a uno que era sordo y tenía un impedimento en el habla. Le rogaron que le pusiera la mano encima.
And they bring to him one deaf and dumb; and they besought him that he would lay his hand upon him.
33 Lo apartó de la multitud en privado y le metió los dedos en los oídos, y escupiendo le tocó la lengua.
And taking him from the multitude apart, he put his fingers into his ears, and spitting, he touched his tongue:
34 Mirando al cielo, suspiró y le dijo: “¡Efatá!”, es decir, “¡Ábrete!”.
And looking up to heaven, he groaned, and said to him: Ephpheta, which is, Be thou opened.
35 Al instante se le abrieron los oídos y se le soltó el impedimento de la lengua, y habló con claridad.
And immediately his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke right.
36 Les ordenó que no se lo dijeran a nadie, pero cuanto más les ordenaba, tanto más lo proclamaban.
And he charged them that they should tell no man. But the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal did they publish it.
37 Ellos se asombraron mucho, diciendo: “Todo lo ha hecho bien. Hace que hasta los sordos oigan y los mudos hablen”.
And so much the more did they wonder, saying: He hath done all things well; he hath made both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
