Malaquías 3
1 “¡He aquí que envío a mi mensajero, y él preparará el camino delante de mí! El Señor, a quien ustedes buscan, vendrá repentinamente a su templo. He aquí que viene el mensajero de la alianza, a quien tú deseas”, dice el Señor de los Ejércitos.
Here I [am] about to send messenger my and he will make clear a way before me and suddenly he will come to temple his the lord - whom you [are] seeking and [the] messenger of the covenant whom you [are] delighting there! [he is] about to come he says Yahweh of hosts.
2 “Pero, ¿quién podrá soportar el día de su venida? ¿Y quién se mantendrá en pie cuando él aparezca? Porque él es como el fuego de un refinador, y como el jabón de los lavanderos;
And who? [will] endure [the] day of coming he and who? [is] the [one who will] stand when appears he for he [is] like [the] fire of a refiner and like [the] soap of washers.
3 y se sentará como un refinador y purificador de plata, y purificará a los hijos de Leví, y los refinará como el oro y la plata; y ofrecerán a Yahvé ofrendas en justicia.
And he will sit [one who] refines and [one who] purifies silver and he will purify [the] descendants of Levi and he will refine them like gold and like silver and they will be to Yahweh bringing near an offering in righteousness.
4 Entonces la ofrenda de Judá y de Jerusalén será agradable a Yahvé como en los días pasados y como en los años antiguos.
And it will be pleasing to Yahweh [the] offering of Judah and Jerusalem like [the] days of antiquity and like years former.
5 Me acercaré a ti para juzgarte. Seré un testigo rápido contra los hechiceros, contra los adúlteros, contra los perjuros, y contra los que oprimen al asalariado en su salario, a la viuda y al huérfano, y que privan al extranjero de la justicia, y no me temen”, dice el Señor de los Ejércitos.
And I will draw near to you for judgment and I will be - a witness hastening on the sorcerers and on the adulterers and on [those who] swear an oath to falsehood and on [those who] defraud [the] hire of a hired laborer a widow and a fatherless one and [those who] thrust aside a sojourner and not they fear me he says Yahweh of hosts.
6 “Porque yo, Yahvé, no cambio; por eso vosotros, hijos de Jacob, no habéis sido consumidos.
That I Yahweh not I change and you [the] descendants of Jacob not you have come to an end.
7 Desde los días de vuestros padres os habéis apartado de mis ordenanzas y no las habéis guardado. Volved a mí, y yo volveré a vosotros”, dice el Señor de los Ejércitos. “Pero vosotros decís: ‘¿Cómo vamos a volver?
From [the] days of ancestors your you have turned aside from statutes my and not you have kept [them] return to me so let me return to you he says Yahweh of hosts and you say how? will we return.
8 ¿Robará un hombre a Dios? Sin embargo, ¡me robáis a mí! Pero tú dices: “¿Cómo te hemos robado? En los diezmos y las ofrendas.
¿ Will he rob someone God for you [are] robbing me and you say how? have we robbed you the tithe and the contribution.
9 Malditos seáis con la maldición; porque me robáis, toda esta nación.
With curse you [are] cursed and me you [are] robbing the nation all of it.
10 Traed todo el diezmo al almacén, para que haya alimento en mi casa, y probadme ahora en esto — dice el Señor de los Ejércitos — si no os abriré las ventanas del cielo y os derramaré una bendición para la que no habrá sitio.
Bring all the tithe into [the] house of the store so it may be food in house my and test me please by this he says Yahweh of hosts if not I will open for you [the] windows of the heavens and I will pour out for you blessing until not sufficiency.
11 Reprenderé al devorador por vosotros, y no destruirá los frutos de vuestra tierra; ni vuestra vid echará su fruto antes de tiempo en el campo”, dice el Señor de los Ejércitos.
And I will rebuke for you the devourer and not it will destroy of you [the] fruit of the ground and not it will prove barren of you the vine in the field he says Yahweh of hosts.
12 “Todas las naciones te llamarán bendita, porque serás una tierra deliciosa”, dice el Señor de los Ejércitos.
And they will call blessed you all the nations for you will be you a land of delight he says Yahweh of hosts.
13 “Vuestras palabras han sido duras contra mí”, dice Yahvé. “Sin embargo, ustedes dicen: ‘¿Qué hemos hablado contra ti?’
They have been strong on me words your he says Yahweh and you say what? have we spoken together on you.
14 Ustedes han dicho: ‘Es vano servir a Dios’, y ‘¿De qué sirve que hayamos seguido sus instrucciones y que hayamos caminado penosamente ante Yahvé de los Ejércitos?
You have said [is] futility to serve God and what? [is the] profit that we have kept charge his and that we have walked mournfully from before Yahweh of hosts.
15 Ahora llamamos felices a los soberbios; sí, los que obran la maldad son edificados; sí, tientan a Dios y escapan.’
And therefore we [are] calling blessed arrogant [people] both they have been built up [those who] do wickedness as well as they have tested God and they have escaped.
16 Entonces los que temían a Yahvé hablaron entre sí; y Yahvé escuchó y oyó, y se escribió ante él un libro de memoria para los que temían a Yahvé y honraban su nombre.
Then they spoke together [those] fearing Yahweh each with neighbor his and he paid attention Yahweh and he listened and it was written a document of remembrance before him of [those] fearing Yahweh and of [those who] esteemed name his.
17 Ellos serán míos — dice el Señor de los Ejércitos —, mi propia posesión en el día que yo haga. Los perdonaré, como un hombre perdona a su propio hijo que le sirve.
And they will belong to me he says Yahweh of hosts to the day when I [will be] making a possession and I will have compassion on them just as he has compassion everyone on son his who serves him.
18 Entonces volverás y discernirás entre el justo y el impío, entre el que sirve a Dios y el que no le sirve.
And you will return and you will see between a righteous [person] and a wicked [person] between [one who] serves God and [one] who not he serves him.
