San Lucas 21
1 Levantó la vista y vio a los ricos que echaban sus donativos en el tesoro.
And looking up, He saw the rich casting their gifts into the treasury.
2 Vio a una viuda pobre que echaba dos moneditas de bronce.
And He also saw a certain poor widow, casting in thither two mites.
3 Y dijo: “En verdad os digo que esta viuda pobre ha echado más que todos ellos,
And He said; Truly I say unto you, That this poor widow cast in more than all.
4 porque todos estos echan dones para Dios de su abundancia, pero ella, de su pobreza, echó todo lo que tenía para vivir.”
For they all of that which abounds unto them cast into the gifts of God: but she out of her scarcity cast in all her living which she had.
5 Mientras algunos hablaban del templo y de cómo estaba decorado con hermosas piedras y regalos, dijo:
And certain ones speaking concerning the temple, that it was ornamented with beautiful stones and offerings, He said,
6 “En cuanto a estas cosas que veis, vendrán días en que no quedará aquí una piedra sobre otra que no sea derribada.”
These things which you see, the days will come, in which stone will not be left upon stone, which shall not be thrown down.
7 Le preguntaron: “Maestro, ¿cuándo ocurrirán estas cosas? ¿Cuál es la señal de que estas cosas van a suceder?”
And they asked Him, saying, Teacher, when then shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when these things may be about to come to pass?
8 Dijo: “Tened cuidado de no dejaros llevar por el mal camino, porque vendrán muchos en mi nombre, diciendo: “Yo soy”, y “El tiempo está cerca”. Por tanto, no los sigáis.
And He said, See that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, saying, I am He; and The time is at hand: go ye not after them.
9 Cuando oigáis hablar de guerras y disturbios, no os asustéis, porque es necesario que estas cosas sucedan primero, pero el fin no llegará inmediatamente.”
And when ye may hear of wars and commotions, be not affrighted: for it behooveth these things first to take place; but the end is not immediately.
10 Entonces les dijo: “Se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino.
Then He said to them, Nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11 Habrá grandes terremotos, hambres y plagas en varios lugares. Habrá terrores y grandes señales del cielo.
and there shall be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in divers places; and there shall be great terrors and signs from heaven.
12 Pero antes de todas estas cosas, os echarán mano y os perseguirán, entregándoos a las sinagogas y a las cárceles, llevándoos ante los reyes y los gobernadores por causa de mi nombre.
And before all of these things, they will lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you into their synagogues and prisons, led before kings and governors on account of my name.
13 Esto se convertirá en un testimonio para ustedes.
And it shall come to pass to you for a testimony.
14 Por tanto, no meditéis de antemano cómo responder,
Place it in your hearts, not to premeditate your defense:
15 porque yo os daré una boca y una sabiduría que todos vuestros adversarios no podrán resistir ni contradecir.
for I will give to you mouth and wisdom, which all who are opposed to you will not be able to gainsay nor resist.
16 Seréis entregados incluso por padres, hermanos, parientes y amigos. Harán que algunos de vosotros sean condenados a muerte.
And you shall be delivered up also by your parents, and brothers, and relatives, and friends; and they will kill some of you.
17 Seréis odiados por todos los hombres por causa de mi nombre.
And you shall be hated by all, on account of my name:
18 Y no perecerá ni un pelo de vuestra cabeza.
and not a hair from your head shall perish.
19 “Con vuestra perseverancia ganaréis vuestras vidas.
In your patience gain your souls.
20 “Pero cuando vean a Jerusalén rodeada de ejércitos, sepan que su desolación está cerca.
And when you may see Jerusalem shut up by the armies, then know that her desolation is nigh.
21 Entonces que los que estén en Judea huyan a las montañas. Que los que están en medio de ella se vayan. Que no entren en ella los que están en el campo.
Then let those in Judea fly to the mountains; and let those in the midst of it depart out; and let not those in the country come into it.
22 Porque estos son días de venganza, para que se cumplan todas las cosas que están escritas.
Because these are the days of vengeance, to fill up all things which have been written.
23 ¡Ay de las embarazadas y de las que amamantan en esos días! Porque habrá gran angustia en la tierra e ira para este pueblo.
But alas to those in gestation and nursing in those days! For there shall be great distress upon the earth, and wrath to this people.
24 Caerán a filo de espada y serán llevados cautivos a todas las naciones. Jerusalén será pisoteada por los gentiles hasta que se cumplan los tiempos de los gentiles.
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles may be fulfilled.
25 “Habrá señales en el sol, la luna y las estrellas; y en la tierra ansiedad de las naciones, en la perplejidad por el rugido del mar y de las olas;
And there will be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars; and commotion of the nations of the earth in their perplexity, the sea and the wave roaring;
26 los hombres desmayando por el temor y la expectación de las cosas que vienen sobre el mundo, porque las potencias de los cielos serán sacudidas.
the souls of men failing from fear, and expectation of those things coming upon the world: for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27 Entonces verán al Hijo del Hombre venir en una nube con poder y gran gloria.
And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 Pero cuando estas cosas comiencen a suceder, miren y levanten la cabeza, porque su redención está cerca.”
And these things beginning to take place, straighten up, and lift up your heads; because your redemption is nigh.
29 Les contó una parábola. “Mirad la higuera y todos los árboles.
And He spoke a parable to them: Behold the fig-tree, and all the trees:
30 Cuando ya están brotando, lo veis y sabéis por vosotros mismos que el verano ya está cerca.
when they may already put forth, seeing, know for yourselves that summer is nigh.
31 Así también vosotros, cuando veáis que suceden estas cosas, sabed que el Reino de Dios está cerca.
So you also, when you see these things take place, know that the kingdom of God is nigh.
32 De cierto os digo que esta generación no pasará hasta que todo se haya cumplido.
Truly I say unto you, that this race may not pass away, until all these things shall be fulfilled.
33 El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras no pasarán.
But heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word can not pass away.
34 “Así que tened cuidado, o vuestros corazones se cargarán de juergas, borracheras y preocupaciones de esta vida, y ese día os llegará de repente.
But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts may be burdened with luxury, and drunkenness, and worldly cares, and that day may come on you unanticipated.
35 Porque vendrá como un lazo sobre todos los que habitan en la superficie de toda la tierra.
For as a lasso it will come upon all the people who are sitting down upon the face of the whole earth.
36 Por tanto, velad en todo momento, orando para que seáis tenidos por dignos de escapar de todas estas cosas que van a suceder, y de estar en pie ante el Hijo del Hombre.”
Therefore watch, praying all the time, that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things which are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
37 Todos los días, Jesús enseñaba en el templo, y todas las noches salía a pasar la noche en el monte que se llama del Olivar.
And He was teaching in the temple during the days; and during the nights going out, He was lodging in the mountain called Mount of Olives.
38 Todo el pueblo acudía de madrugada a escucharle en el templo.
And all the people gathered in the temple to hear Him.
