Josué 15
1 La suerte de la tribu de los hijos de Judá, según sus familias, fue hasta el límite de Edom, hasta el desierto de Zin hacia el sur, en el extremo del sur.
This was the land allotted to the tribe of Judah, by families: it stretched south to the border of Edom, to the wilderness of Zin in the far south.
2 Su límite sur era desde el extremo del Mar Salado, desde la bahía que mira hacia el sur;
Their boundary began at the end of the Salt Sea—the bay that faces south—
3 y salía hacia el sur de la subida de Akrabbim, y pasaba por Zin, y subía por el sur de Cades Barnea, y pasaba por Esrom, subía por Addar, y se volvía hacia Karka;
and then went south of Scorpion Pass through the wilderness of Zin, then heading south from Kadesh-barnea to Hezron. From there it went up to Addar and then turned towards Karka,
4 y pasaba por Azmón, salía por el arroyo de Egipto; y el límite terminaba en el mar. Esta será su frontera sur.
passing through Azmon and out to the Wadi of Egypt, ending at the sea. This was their southern border.
5 El límite oriental era el Mar Salado, hasta el final del Jordán. El límite del norte era desde la bahía del mar hasta el final del Jordán.
The eastern border of Judah was the Salt Sea, up to where the Jordan River ends. The northern boundary ran from the northern bay of the sea where the Jordan ends

up to the border of Beth-hoglath, and then north of Beth-arabah to the Stone of Bohan (Reuben's son).
7 La frontera subía hasta Debir desde el valle de Acor, y así hacia el norte, mirando hacia Gilgal, que está frente a la subida de Adummim, que está al lado sur del río. La frontera pasaba hasta las aguas de En Shemesh, y terminaba en En Rogel.
From there it went to the border of Debir through the valley of Achor, and turned north towards Gilgal, opposite the heights of Adummim to the south of the valley. Then the boundary continued to the waters of En-shemesh and out to En-rogel.
8 La frontera subía por el valle del hijo de Hinom hasta el lado del jebuseo (también llamado Jerusalén) hacia el sur; y la frontera subía hasta la cima del monte que está frente al valle de Hinom hacia el oeste, que está en la parte más lejana del valle de Refaim hacia el norte.
The boundary then went through the valley of Ben-hinnom, along the southern slopes of the Jebusites, (that is Jerusalem), then on up to the top of the mountain overlooking the valley of Hinnom right up to the northern end of the valley of Rephaim.
9 La frontera se extendía desde la cima del monte hasta el manantial de las aguas de Neftoa, y salía a las ciudades del monte Efrón; y la frontera se extendía hasta Baalá (también llamada Quiriat Jearim);
From there the boundary ran from the top of the mountain to the water spring at Nephtoah and on to the towns on Mount Ephron. Then it bent towards Ballah (Kiriath-jearim).
10 y la frontera giraba desde Baalá hacia el oeste, hacia el monte Seir, y pasaba al lado del monte Jearim (también llamado Cesalón), al norte, y bajaba a Bet Semes, y pasaba junto a Timná;
Then the boundary moved around to the west of Baalah to Mount Seir and passed along the northern slope of Mount Jearim to the town of Kesalon, down to Beth Shemesh and on to Timnah.
11 y la frontera salía al lado de Ecrón hacia el norte; y la frontera se extendía hasta Siquerón, y pasaba por el monte Baalá, y salía por Jabneel; y las salidas de la frontera estaban en el mar.
The boundary then ran to the north slope of Ekron, and bent towards Shikkeron, passing Mount Baalah, out to Jabneel, and ending at the sea.
12 El límite occidental llegaba hasta la orilla del gran mar. Esta es la frontera de los hijos de Judá según sus familias.
The western boundary was the coastline of the Great Sea. These were the boundaries around the tribe of Judah, by families.
13 Le dio a Caleb, hijo de Jefone, una porción entre los hijos de Judá, según el mandato de Yahvé a Josué, hasta Quiriat Arba, llamada así por el padre de Anac (también llamada Hebrón).
The Lord had instructed Joshua to allocate some land in Judah's territory to Caleb, son of Jephunneh, and so he was given the town of Kiriath-arba, or Hebron. (Arba was the father of Anak.)
14 Caleb expulsó a los tres hijos de Anac Sesai, Ahiman y Talmai, hijos de Anac.

From there he went to attack the inhabitants of Debir (previously known as Kiriath-sepher).
16 Caleb dijo: “Al que ataque a Quiriat-Sfer y lo tome, le daré a mi hija Acsa como esposa”.
Caleb announced, “Whoever attacks Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will give him my daughter Acsah to marry.”
17 La tomó Othniel, hijo de Kenaz, hermano de Caleb, y le dio a Acsa, su hija, como esposa.
Othniel, son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, captured the town so Caleb gave him his daughter Acsah to marry.
18 Cuando ella llegó, le hizo pedir a su padre un campo. Ella se bajó del asno, y Caleb le dijo: “¿Qué quieres?”
When she came to him, she encouraged him to ask her father for a field. When she got off her donkey, Caleb asked her, “What do you want?”
19 Ella dijo: “Dame una bendición. Ya que me has puesto en la tierra del Sur, dame también manantiales de agua”. Así que le dio los muelles superiores y los inferiores.
She replied, “Please give me a blessing. Since you have already given me land that's like the desert, please give me springs of water as well.” So he gave her both the upper and the lower springs.

However, the tribe of Judah could not drive out the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so the Jebusites live among the tribe of Judah in Jerusalem to this very day.
