1 Al tercer día, hubo una boda en Caná de Galilea. La madre de Jesús estaba allí.
And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there.
2 También Jesús fue invitado, con sus discípulos, a la boda.
And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
3 Cuando se acabó el vino, la madre de Jesús le dijo: “No tienen vino”.
And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith to him, They have no wine.
4 Jesús le dijo: “Mujer, ¿qué tiene que ver eso contigo y conmigo? Todavía no ha llegado mi hora”.
Jesus saith to her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? my hour is not yet come.
5 Su madre dijo a los criados: “Haced lo que os diga”.
His mother saith to the servants, Whatever he saith to you, do [it].
6 Habían allí seis vasijas de piedra, colocadas según la costumbre judía de purificación, y en cada una cabían dos o tres metretas.
And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
7 Jesús les dijo: “Llenen de agua las tinajas”. Así que las llenaron hasta el borde.
Jesus saith to them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them to the brim.
8 Les dijo: “Sacad ahora un poco y llevadlo al jefe de la fiesta.” Así que lo llevaron.
And he saith to them, Draw out now, and bear to the governor of the feast. And they bore [it].
9 Cuando el dueño del banquete probó el agua convertida en vino, y no sabía de dónde procedía (pero los criados que habían sacado el agua sí lo sabían), el dueño del banquete llamó al novio
When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was; (but the servants who drew the water knew) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
10 y le dijo: “Todos sirven primero el vino bueno, y cuando los invitados hayan bebido libremente, entonces el que es peor. ¡Tú has guardado el vino bueno hasta ahora!”
And saith to him, Every man at the beginning presenteth good wine; and when men have well drank, then that which is worse: [but] thou hast kept the good wine until now.
11 Este principio de sus milagros lo hizo Jesús en Caná de Galilea, y reveló su gloria; y sus discípulos creyeron en él.
This beginning of miracles Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
12 Después de esto, bajó a Capernaúm, él y su madre, sus hermanos y sus discípulos; y se quedaron allí unos días.
After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples; and they continued there not many days.
13 Se acercaba la Pascua de los judíos, y Jesús subió a Jerusalén.
And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
14 Encontró en el templo a los que vendían bueyes, ovejas y palomas, y a los cambistas sentados.
And found in the temple those that sold oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the changers of money, sitting:
15 Hizo un látigo de cuerdas y expulsó a todos del templo, tanto a las ovejas como a los bueyes; y a los cambistas les desparramó el dinero y derribó sus mesas.
And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
16 A los que vendían las palomas les dijo: “¡Sacad esto de aquí! No hagáis de la casa de mi Padre un mercado”.
And said to them that sold doves, Take these things hence: make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.
17 Sus discípulos recordaron que estaba escrito: “El celo por tu casa me consumirá”.
And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thy house hath eaten me up.
18 Los judíos le respondieron: “¿Qué señal nos muestras, ya que haces estas cosas?”
Then answered the Jews, and said to him, What sign showest thou to us, seeing that thou doest these things?
19 Jesús les respondió: “Destruid este templo y en tres días lo levantaré”.
Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Los judíos, por tanto, dijeron: “¡Se necesitaron cuarenta y seis años para construir este templo! ¿Lo levantarás en tres días?”
Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21 Pero él hablaba del templo de su cuerpo.
But he spoke of the temple of his body.
22 Por eso, cuando resucitó de entre los muertos, sus discípulos se acordaron de que había dicho esto, y creyeron en la Escritura y en la palabra que Jesús había dicho.
When therefore he had risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this to them: and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had spoken.
23 Estando en Jerusalén en la Pascua, durante la fiesta, muchos creyeron en su nombre, observando las señales que hacía.
Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast [day], many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he performed.
24 Pero Jesús no se confiaba de ellos, porque conocía a todos,
But Jesus did not commit himself to them, because he knew all [men].
25 y porque no necesitaba que nadie diera testimonio acerca del hombre, pues él mismo sabía lo que había en el hombre.
And needed not that any should testify concerning man: for he knew what was in man.
