Juan 17
1 Jesús dijo estas cosas y, levantando los ojos al cielo, dijo: “Padre, ha llegado el momento. Glorifica a tu Hijo, para que tu Hijo también te glorifique a ti;
Jesus spoke these things, raising His eyes to Heaven and saying: “Father, the hour has come! Glorify Your Son, so that Your Son also may glorify You,
2 así como le diste autoridad sobre toda carne, así dará vida eterna a todos los que le has dado. (aiōnios g166)
just as You gave Him authority over all humanity, so that He will give eternal life to all those whom You have given Him. (aiōnios g166)
3 Esta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan a ti, el único Dios verdadero, y al que has enviado, Jesucristo. (aiōnios g166)
Now eternal life is this: that they may know You, the only true God, and the One whom You sent—Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)
4 Yo te he glorificado en la tierra. He cumplido la obra que me has encomendado.
I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work that You have given me to do.
5 Ahora, Padre, glorifícame tú mismo con la gloria que tenía contigo antes de que el mundo existiera.
So now, Father, You glorify me by Your side with the glory that I had along with You before the world existed!
6 “He revelado tu nombre al pueblo que me has dado fuera del mundo. Eran tuyos y me los has dado. Ellos han cumplido tu palabra.
“I have revealed Your name to the men whom You have given me out of the world. They were Yours and You gave them to me, and they have kept Your word.
7 Ahora han sabido que todas las cosas que me has dado vienen de ti,
They now know that everything You have given to me is from You;
8 porque las palabras que me has dado se las he dado a ellos; y las han recibido, y han sabido con certeza que vengo de ti. Han creído que tú me has enviado.
because I have given them the sayings which You have given to me; and they have received and known for sure that I came forth from You, and they have believed that You sent me.
9 Yo rezo por ellos. No ruego por el mundo, sino por los que me has dado, porque son tuyos.
I am praying for them; I am not praying for the world but for those whom You have given me, because they are yours.
10 Todas las cosas que son mías son tuyas, y las tuyas son mías, y yo soy glorificado en ellas.
Actually, all my things are Yours and Yours are mine, and I have been glorified in them.
11 Yo ya no estoy en el mundo, pero éstos están en el mundo, y yo voy a ti. Padre santo, guárdalos por tu nombre que me has dado, para que sean uno, como nosotros.
Now I am no longer in the world, yet these are in the world, and I am coming to You. “Holy Father, keep them in Your name which You have given to me, so that they may be one just as we are.
12 Mientras estuve con ellos en el mundo, los guardé en tu nombre. He guardado a los que me has dado. Ninguno de ellos se ha perdido, sino el hijo de la destrucción, para que se cumpla la Escritura.
While I was with them in the world I kept them in Your name. I protected those whom You gave me, and not one of them was lost except the son of perdition, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
13 Pero ahora vengo a ti, y digo estas cosas en el mundo, para que tengan mi gozo pleno en ellos.
But now I am coming to You, and I speak these things in the world so that they may have my joy made full in them.
14 Les he dado tu palabra. El mundo los ha odiado porque no son del mundo, así como yo no soy del mundo.
“I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15 No ruego que los quites del mundo, sino que los guardes del maligno.
I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the malignant one.
16 No son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo.
They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
17 Santifícalos en tu verdad. Tu palabra es la verdad.
Sanctify them by Your Truth; Your Word is Truth.
18 Como me enviaste al mundo, así los he enviado yo al mundo.
Just as You sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.
19 Por ellos me santifico, para que ellos también sean santificados en la verdad.
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, so that they also may be sanctified in truth.
20 “No ruego sólo por éstos, sino también por los que crean en mí por medio de su palabra,
“I pray not only for these, but also for those who believe into me through their word;
21 para que todos sean uno, como tú, Padre, estás en mí, y yo en ti, para que también ellos sean uno en nosotros; para que el mundo crea que tú me has enviado.
that they all may be one, just as You, Father, are in me and I in You; that in Us they also may be one, so that the world may believe that You sent me.
22 La gloria que me has dado, yo se la he dado a ellos, para que sean uno, como nosotros somos uno,
In fact, the glory that You gave to me I have given to them, so that they may be one just as We are one:
23 yo en ellos y tú en mí, para que se perfeccionen en uno, para que el mundo sepa que tú me has enviado y que los has amado, como a mí.
I in them and You in me, so that they may be perfected into one; also so that the world may know that You sent me, and have loved them just as You have loved me.
24 Padre, quiero que también los que me has dado estén conmigo donde yo estoy, para que vean mi gloria que me has dado, porque me has amado antes de la fundación del mundo.
“Father, those whom You have given to me, I desire that they also may be with me where I am, so that they may observe my glory, which You have given me, because You loved me before the founding of the world.
25 Padre justo, el mundo no te ha conocido, pero yo te he conocido, y éstos han sabido que tú me has enviado.
Righteous Father! Indeed the world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent me.
26 Yoles he dado a conocer tu nombre, y lo daré a conocer, para que el amor con que me has amado esté en ellos, y yo en ellos.”
Yes, I have made Your name known to them and will make it known, so that the love with which You have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
