Juan 13
1 Antes de la fiesta de la Pascua, Jesús, sabiendo que había llegado su hora de pasar de este mundo al Padre, habiendo amado a los suyos que estaban en el mundo, los amó hasta el fin.
Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
2 Durante la cena, habiendo metido ya el diablo en el corazón de Judas Iscariote, hijo de Simón, para que lo traicionara,
And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
3 Jesús, sabiendo que el Padre había entregado todas las cosas en sus manos, y que venía de Dios y se iba a Dios,
Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
4 se levantó de la cena y se despojó de sus vestidos exteriores. Tomó una toalla y se la puso alrededor de la cintura.
He rises from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
5 Luego echó agua en un lebrillo y se puso a lavar los pies de los discípulos y a enjugarlos con la toalla que le envolvía.
After that he pours water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
6 Luego se acercó a Simón Pedro. Le dijo: “Señor, ¿me lavas los pies?”.
Then comes he to Simon Peter: and Peter says unto him, Lord, do you wash my feet?
7 Jesús le contestó: “No sabes lo que hago ahora, pero lo entenderás después”.
Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do you know not now; but you shall know hereafter.
8 Pedro le dijo: “¡Nunca me lavarás los pies!” Jesús le respondió: “Si no te lavo, no tienes parte conmigo”. (aiōn g165)
Peter says unto him, You shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash you not, you have no part with me. (aiōn g165)
9 Simón Pedro le dijo: “Señor, no sólo mis pies, sino también mis manos y mi cabeza”.
Simon Peter says unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
10 Jesús le dijo: “Alguien que se ha bañado sólo necesita que le laven los pies, pero está completamente limpio. Vosotros estáis limpios, pero no todos”.
Jesus says to him, He that is washed needs not save to wash his feet, but is clean everything: and all of you are clean, but not all.
11 Porque conocía al que lo iba a traicionar; por eso dijo: “No estáis todos limpios”.
For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, All of you are not all clean.
12 Así que, después de lavarles los pies, volver a ponerse la ropa exterior y sentarse de nuevo, les dijo: “¿Sabéis lo que os he hecho?
So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know all of you what I have done to you?
13 Me llamáis “Maestro” y “Señor”. Lo decís con razón, porque así soy.
All of you call me Master and Lord: and all of you say well; for so I am.
14 Si yo, el Señor y el Maestro, os he lavado los pies, también vosotros debéis lavaros los pies unos a otros.
If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; all of you also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 Porque os he dado ejemplo, para que también vosotros hagáis lo que yo he hecho con vosotros.
For I have given you an example, that all of you should do as I have done to you.
16 De cierto os digo que el siervo no es mayor que su señor, ni el enviado es mayor que el que lo envió.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
17 Si sabéis estas cosas, dichosos vosotros si las ponéis en práctica.
If all of you know these things, happy are all of you if all of you do them.
18 No hablo de todos vosotros. Yo sé a quién he escogido; pero para que se cumpla la Escritura: ‘El que come pan conmigo, ha levantado su talón contra mí’.
I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.
19 Desde ahora os lo digo antes de que ocurra, para que cuando ocurra, creáis que yo soy.
Now I tell you before it come, that, when it has come to pass, all of you may believe that I am he.
20 De cierto os digo que el que recibe a quien yo envío, me recibe a mí; y el que me recibe a mí, recibe al que me envió.”
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receives whomsoever I send receives me; and he that receives me receives him that sent me.
21 Al decir esto, Jesús se turbó en su espíritu y declaró: “Os aseguro que uno de vosotros me va a traicionar.”
When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, (pneuma) and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
22 Los discípulos se miraban unos a otros, perplejos sobre quién hablaba.
Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spoke.
23 Uno de sus discípulos, a quien Jesús amaba, estaba en la mesa, apoyado en el pecho de Jesús.
Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
24 Entonces Simón Pedro le hizo señas y le dijo: “Dinos de quién habla”.
Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spoke.
25 Él, recostado, como estaba, sobre el pecho de Jesús, le preguntó: “Señor, ¿quién es?”.
He then lying on Jesus' breast says unto him, Lord, who is it?
26 Entonces Jesús respondió: “Es a quien le daré este pedazo de pan cuando lo haya mojado”. Y cuando hubo mojado el pedazo de pan, se lo dio a Judas, hijo de Simón Iscariote.
Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a morsel, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
27 Después del trozo de pan, entró en él Satanás. Entonces Jesús le dijo: “Lo que hagas, hazlo rápido”.
And after the morsel Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That you do, do quickly.
28 Nadie en la mesa sabía por qué le decía esto.
Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spoke this unto him.
29 Pues algunos pensaron, porque Judas tenía la bolsa, que Jesús le había dicho: “Compra lo que necesitamos para la fiesta”, o que debía dar algo a los pobres.
For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.
30 Así que, habiendo recibido aquel bocado, salió inmediatamente. Era de noche.
He then having received the morsel went immediately out: and it was night.
31 Cuando salió, Jesús dijo: “Ahora el Hijo del Hombre ha sido glorificado, y Dios ha sido glorificado en él.
Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
32 Si Dios ha sido glorificado en él, Dios también lo glorificará en sí mismo, y lo glorificará inmediatamente.
If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall immediately glorify him.
33 Hijitos, estaré con vosotros un poco más de tiempo. Me buscaréis, y como dije a los judíos: “Donde yo voy, vosotros no podéis venir”, así os lo digo ahora.
Little children, yet a little while I am with you. All of you shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Where I go, all of you cannot come; so now I say to you.
34 Un nuevo mandamiento os doy: que os améis unos a otros. Como yo os he amado, amaos también vosotros unos a otros.
A new commandment I give unto you, That all of you love one another; as I have loved you, that all of you also love one another.
35 En esto reconocerán todos que sois mis discípulos, si os amáis unos a otros.”
By this shall all men know that all of you are my disciples, if all of you have love (agape) one to another.
36 Simón Pedro le dijo: “Señor, ¿a dónde vas?”. Jesús respondió: “A donde voy, no puedes seguirme ahora, pero me seguirás después”.
Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, where go you? Jesus answered him, Where I go, you can not follow me now; but you shall follow me afterwards.
37 Pedro le dijo: “Señor, ¿por qué no puedo seguirte ahora? Daré mi vida por ti”.
Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow you now? I will lay down my life for your sake.
38 Jesús le contestó: “¿Vas a dar tu vida por mí? Te aseguro que el gallo no cantará hasta que me hayas negado tres veces.
Jesus answered him, Will you lay down your life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto you, The cock shall not crow, till you have denied me three times.
