Jeremías 52

1 Sedequías tenía veintiún años cuando comenzó a reinar. Reinó once años en Jerusalén. Su madre se llamaba Hamutal, hija de Jeremías de Libna.

Zedekiah [was] one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name [was] Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

2 Hizo lo que era malo a los ojos de Yahvé, según todo lo que había hecho Joacim.

And he did [that which was] evil in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

3 Porque por la ira de Yahvé sucedió esto en Jerusalén y en Judá, hasta que los expulsó de su presencia. Sedequías se rebeló contra el rey de Babilonia.

For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

4 En el noveno año de su reinado, en el décimo mes, a los diez días del mes, vino Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, él y todo su ejército, contra Jerusalén, y acamparon contra ella; y construyeron contra ella fortalezas alrededor.

And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth [day] of the month, [that] Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it, and built forts against it on every side.

5 Así fue sitiada la ciudad hasta el año undécimo del rey Sedequías.

So the city was besieged to the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

6 En el cuarto mes, a los nueve días del mes, el hambre fue grave en la ciudad, de modo que no hubo pan para el pueblo de la tierra.

And in the fourth month, in the ninth [day] of the month, the famine was severe in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.

7 Entonces se abrió una brecha en la ciudad, y todos los hombres de guerra huyeron y salieron de la ciudad de noche por el camino de la puerta entre los dos muros, que estaba junto al jardín del rey. Los caldeos estaban contra la ciudad por todas partes. Los hombres de guerra se dirigieron hacia el Arabá,

Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth from the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which [was] by the king's garden; (now the Chaldeans [were] by the city on all sides: ) and they went by the way of the plain.

8 pero el ejército de los caldeos persiguió al rey y alcanzó a Sedequías en las llanuras de Jericó, y todo su ejército se dispersó de él.

But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.

9 Entonces tomaron al rey y lo llevaron ante el rey de Babilonia a Ribla, en la tierra de Hamat, y éste pronunció un juicio sobre él.

Then they took the king, and carried him to the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.

10 El rey de Babilonia mató a los hijos de Sedequías ante sus ojos. También mató a todos los príncipes de Judá en Ribla.

And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.

11 Le sacó los ojos a Sedequías, y el rey de Babilonia lo ató con grilletes, lo llevó a Babilonia y lo puso en prisión hasta el día de su muerte.

Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.

12 En el mes quinto, a los diez días del mes, que era el año decimonoveno del rey Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, entró en Jerusalén Nabuzaradán, capitán de la guardia, que estaba delante del rey de Babilonia.

Now in the fifth month, in the tenth [day] of the month, which [was] the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar-adan, captain of the guard, [who] served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,

13 Quemó la casa de Yahvé y la casa del rey, y quemó todas las casas de Jerusalén, todas las casas grandes.

And burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great [men] he burned with fire:

14 Todo el ejército de los caldeos, que estaba con el capitán de la guardia, derribó todos los muros de Jerusalén por todas partes.

And all the army of the Chaldeans, that [were] with the captain of the guard, broke down all the walls of Jerusalem on every side.

15 Entonces Nabuzaradán, el capitán de la guardia, se llevó cautivos a los más pobres del pueblo y al resto de la gente que había quedado en la ciudad, y a los que habían desertado, que se habían pasado al rey de Babilonia, y al resto de la multitud.

Then Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard carried away captive [certain] of the poor of the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.

16 Pero Nabuzaradán, el capitán de la guardia, dejó a los más pobres de la tierra para que fueran viñadores y agricultores.

But Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard left [certain] of the poor of the land for vine-dressers and for husbandmen.

17 Los caldeos rompieron en pedazos las columnas de bronce que había en la casa de Yahvé y las bases y el mar de bronce que había en la casa de Yahvé, y se llevaron todo su bronce a Babilonia.

Also the pillars of brass that [were] in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brazen sea that [was] in the house of the LORD, the Chaldeans broke, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.

18 También se llevaron las ollas, las palas, los apagadores, las palanganas, las cucharas y todos los recipientes de bronce con los que servían.

The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they ministered, they took away.

19 El capitán de la guardia se llevó las copas, los braseros, las palanganas, las ollas, los candiles, las cucharas y los cuencos; lo que era de oro, como oro, y lo que era de plata, como plata.

And the basins, and the fire-pans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; [that] which [was] of gold [in] gold, and [that] which [was] of silver [in] silver, the captain of the guard took away.

20 Tomaron las dos columnas, el mar único y los doce toros de bronce que estaban debajo de las bases, que el rey Salomón había hecho para la casa de Yahvé. El bronce de todos estos recipientes no tenía peso.

The two pillars, one sea, and twelve brazen bulls that [were] under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the LORD: the brass of all these vessels was without weight.

21 En cuanto a las columnas, la altura de la única columna era de dieciocho codos; y una línea de doce codos la rodeaba, y su grosor era de cuatro dedos. Era hueca.

And [concerning] the pillars, the hight of one pillar [was] eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits encompassed it; and the thickness of it [was] four fingers: [it was] hollow.

22 Sobre ella había un capitel de bronce de cinco codos de altura, con red y granadas en el capitel alrededor, todo de bronce. La segunda columna también tenía lo mismo, con granadas.

And a capital of brass [was] upon it; and the hight of one capital [was] five cubits, with net-work and pomegranates upon the capitals around, all [of] brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates [were] like to these.

23 Había noventa y seis granadas a los lados; todas las granadas eran cien en la red alrededor.

And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; [and] all the pomegranates upon the net-work [were] a hundred on all sides.

24 El capitán de la guardia tomó a Seraías, el sumo sacerdote, y a Sofonías, el segundo sacerdote, y a los tres guardianes del umbral,

And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:

25 y de la ciudad tomó a un oficial que estaba al frente de los hombres de guerra, y a siete hombres de los que vieron la cara del rey, que se encontraban en la ciudad, y al escriba del capitán del ejército, que reunía al pueblo del país, y a sesenta hombres del pueblo del país, que se encontraban en medio de la ciudad.

He took also out of the city a eunuch, who had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king's person, who were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.

26 Nabuzaradán, capitán de la guardia, los tomó y los llevó al rey de Babilonia, a Ribla.

So Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.

27 El rey de Babilonia los golpeó y los mató en Ribla, en la tierra de Hamat. Y Judá fue llevado cautivo de su tierra.

And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah, in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.

28 Este es el número del pueblo que Nabucodonosor llevó cautivo: en el séptimo año, tres mil veintitrés judíos;

This [is] the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty:

29 en el año dieciocho de Nabucodonosor, llevó cautivas de Jerusalén a ochocientas treinta y dos personas;

In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two persons:

30 en el año veintitrés de Nabucodonosor, Nabuzaradán, capitán de la guardia, llevó cautivas a setecientas cuarenta y cinco personas de los judíos. Todo el pueblo era de cuatro mil seiscientos.

In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar, Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons [were] four thousand and six hundred.

31 En el año treinta y siete del cautiverio de Joaquín, rey de Judá, en el mes duodécimo, a los veinticinco días del mes, Evilmerodac, rey de Babilonia, en el primer año de su reinado, levantó la cabeza de Joaquín, rey de Judá, y lo liberó de la prisión.

And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth [day] of the month, [that] Evil-merodach king of Babylon in the [first] year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him out of prison,

32 Le habló con amabilidad y puso su trono por encima del trono de los reyes que estaban con él en Babilonia,

And spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that [were] with him in Babylon,

33 y le cambió las ropas de la prisión. Joaquín comió pan delante de él continuamente todos los días de su vida.

And changed his prison garments: and he continually ate bread before him all the days of his life.

34 En cuanto a su pensión, el rey de Babilonia le daba continuamente una ración hasta el día de su muerte, todos los días de su vida.

And [for] his food there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.
