Jeremías 11
1 Palabra que vino a Jeremías de parte de Yahvé, diciendo:
The word that was maad of the Lord to Jeremye,
2 “Oigan las palabras de este pacto, y hablen a los hombres de Judá y a los habitantes de Jerusalén;
and seide, Here ye the wordis of this couenaunt, and speke ye to the men of Juda, and to the dwelleris of Jerusalem; and thou schalt seie to hem,
3 y díganles: Dice Yahvé, el Dios de Israel ‘Maldito el hombre que no escuche las palabras de este pacto,
The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Cursid be the man that herith not the wordis of this couenaunt,
4 que ordené a vuestros padres el día en que los saqué de la tierra de Egipto, del horno de hierro,’ diciendo: ‘Obedeced mi voz y ponedlas por obra, según todo lo que os mando; así seréis mi pueblo, y yo seré vuestro Dios;
which Y comaundide to youre fadris, in the dai in which Y ledde hem out of the lond of Egipt, fro the irone furneis; and Y seide, Here ye my vois, and do ye alle thingis whiche Y comaundide to you, and ye schulen be in to a puple to me, and Y schal be in to God to you;
5 para que se cumpla el juramento que hice a vuestros padres, de darles una tierra que fluye leche y miel,’ como es hoy.” Entonces respondí y dije: “Amén, Yahvé”.
that Y reise the ooth which Y swoor to youre fadris, that Y schulde yyue to hem a lond flowynge with mylk and hony, as this dai is. And Y answeride, and seide, Amen, Lord.
6 El Señor me dijo: “Proclamad todas estas palabras en las ciudades de Judá y en las calles de Jerusalén, diciendo: “Oíd las palabras de este pacto y ponedlas por obra.
And the Lord seide to me, Crye thou alle these wordis in the citees of Juda, and with out Jerusalem, and seie thou, Here ye the wordis of this couenaunt, and do ye tho;
7 Porque el día que los saqué de la tierra de Egipto, protesté con insistencia ante vuestros padres, hasta el día de hoy, madrugando y protestando, diciendo: “Obedeced mi voz”.
for Y witnessynge haue witnessid to youre fadris, in the dai in which Y ledde hem out of the lond of Egipt, `til to this dai; Y roos eerli, and witnesside, and seide, Here ye my vois.
8 Pero no obedecieron, ni volvieron su oído, sino que todos anduvieron en la terquedad de su malvado corazón. Por eso hice recaer sobre ellos todas las palabras de este pacto que les mandé hacer, pero no las cumplieron”.
And thei herden not, nether bowiden doun her eere, but thei yeden forth ech man in the schrewidnesse of his yuel herte; and Y brouyte in on hem alle the wordis of this couenaunt, which Y comaundide that thei schulden do, and thei diden not.
9 El Señor me dijo: “Se ha encontrado una conspiración entre los hombres de Judá y entre los habitantes de Jerusalén.
And the Lord seide to me, Sweryng togidere is foundun in the men of Juda, and in the dwelleris of Jerusalem;
10 Se han vuelto a las iniquidades de sus antepasados, que se negaron a escuchar mis palabras. Se han ido tras otros dioses para servirles. La casa de Israel y la casa de Judá han roto mi pacto que hice con sus padres.
thei turneden ayen to the formere wickidnessis of her fadris, that nolden here my wordis; and therfor these men yeden aftir alien goddis, for to serue hem; the hous of Israel and the hous of Juda maden voide my couenaunt, which Y made with the fadris of hem.
11 Por eso dice el Señor: “He aquí que yo traigo sobre ellos un mal del que no podrán escapar; y ellos clamarán a mí, pero yo no los escucharé.
Wherfor the Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal bringe in on hem yuels, of whiche thei schulen not mow go out; and thei schulen crie to me, and Y schal not here hem.
12 Entonces las ciudades de Judá y los habitantes de Jerusalén irán a clamar a los dioses a los que ofrecen incienso, pero no los salvarán en absoluto en el momento de su aflicción.
And the citees of Juda and the dwellers of Jerusalem schulen go, and schulen crye to hem, to whiche thei offren sacrifices; and thei schulen not saue hem in the tyme of her turment.
13 Porque según el número de tus ciudades están tus dioses, Judá; y según el número de las calles de Jerusalén has levantado altares a la cosa vergonzosa, altares para quemar incienso a Baal.’
For thou, Juda, thi goddis weren bi the noumbre of thi citees, and thou settidist auters of schenschipe, bi the noumbre of the weies of Jerusalem, auters to offre sacrifices to Baalym.
14 “Por tanto, no reces por este pueblo. No levantes gritos ni oraciones por ellos, porque no los escucharé en el momento en que clamen a mí a causa de su angustia.
Therfor nyle thou preie for this puple, and take thou not heriyng and preier for hem; for Y schal not here in the tyme of the cry of hem to me, in the tyme of the turment of hem.
15 ¿Qué tiene que hacer mi amado en mi casa, ya que se ha comportado lascivamente con muchos, y la carne sagrada ha pasado de ti? Cuando haces el mal, entonces te alegras”.
What is it, that my derlyng doith many greet trespassis in myn hous? whether hooli fleischis schulen do awei fro thee thi malice, in which thou hast glorie?
16 Yahvé llamó tu nombre: “Olivo verde”, hermosa con buenos frutos”. Con el ruido de un gran rugido ha encendido el fuego en él, y sus ramas están rotas.
The Lord clepide thi name an olyue tre, fair, ful of fruyt, schapli; at the vois of a greet speche fier brent an hiy ther ynne, and the buyschis therof ben brent.
17 Porque el Señor de los Ejércitos, que te plantó, ha pronunciado el mal contra ti, a causa de la maldad de la casa de Israel y de la casa de Judá, que se han hecho a sí mismas provocando mi ira al ofrecer incienso a Baal.
And the Lord of oostis that plauntide thee, spak yuel on thee, for the yuels of the hous of Israel, and of the hous of Juda, whiche thei diden to hem silf, and offriden to Baalym, to terre me to wraththe.
18 El Señor me lo hizo saber, y yo lo conocí. Luego me mostró sus acciones.
Forsothe, Lord, thou schewidist to me, and Y knew; thou schewidist to me the studies of hem.
19 Pero yo era como un cordero manso que es llevado al matadero. No sabía que habían urdido planes contra mí, diciendo “Destruyamos el árbol con sus frutos, y lo separemos de la tierra de los vivos, para que su nombre no sea más recordado”.
And Y am as a mylde lomb, which is borun to slayn sacrifice; and Y knew not, that thei thouyten counsels on me, and seiden, Sende we a tre in to the brede of hym, and rase we hym awei fro the lond of lyueris, and his name be no more hadde in mynde.
20 Pero, Yahvé de los Ejércitos, que juzga con justicia, que pone a prueba el corazón y la mente, Veré tu venganza sobre ellos; porque a ti te he revelado mi causa.
But thou, Lord of oostis, that demest iustli, and preuest reynes and hertis, se Y thi veniaunce of hem; for to thee Y schewide my cause.
21 “Por lo tanto, Yahvé dice acerca de los hombres de Anatot, que buscan tu vida, diciendo: ‘No profetizarás en nombre de Yahvé, para que no mueras por nuestra mano’ —
Therfor the Lord seith these thingis to the men of Anathot, that seken thi lijf, and seien, Thou schalt not prophesie in the name of the Lord, and thou schalt not die in oure hondis.
22 Por lo tanto, Yahvé de los Ejércitos dice: ‘He aquí que los castigaré. Los jóvenes morirán a espada. Sus hijos y sus hijas morirán de hambre.
Therfor the Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal visite on hem; the yonge men of hem schulen die bi swerd, the sones of hem and the douytris of hem schulen die for hungur;
23 No les quedará ningún remanente, porque traeré el mal sobre los hombres de Anatot, el año de su visita’”.
and no relifs, ether children abidynge, schulen be of hem; for Y schal bringe ynne yuel on the men of Anathot, the yeer of the visitacioun of hem.
