Isaías 66

1 Yahvé dice: “El cielo es mi trono y la tierra es el escabel de mis pies. ¿Qué tipo de casa me van a construir? ¿Dónde voy a descansar?

Thus saith Jehovah: The heavens are my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what is the house that ye will build unto me? and what is the place of my rest?

2 Porque mi mano ha hecho todas estas cosas, y así se produjeron todas estas cosas”, dice Yahvé: “pero miraré a este hombre, incluso al que es pobre y de espíritu contrito, y que tiembla ante mi palabra.

Even all these things hath my hand made, and all these things have been, saith Jehovah. But to this man will I look: to the afflicted and contrite in spirit, and who trembleth at my word.

3 El que mata a un buey es como el que mata a un hombre; el que sacrifica un cordero, como el que le rompe el cuello a un perro; el que ofrece una ofrenda, como el que ofrece sangre de cerdo; el que quema incienso, como el que bendice a un ídolo. Sí, han elegido sus propios caminos, y su alma se deleita en sus abominaciones.

He that slaughtereth an ox, smiteth a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, breaketh a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, [it is as] swine's blood; he that presenteth a memorial of incense, [is as] he that blesseth an idol. As they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations,

4 Yo también elegiré sus engaños, y les hará pasar sus miedos, porque cuando llamé, nadie respondió; cuando hablé, no me escucharon, pero hicieron lo que era malo a mis ojos, y elegí aquello en lo que no me deleité”.

I also will choose their calamities, and will bring their fears upon them; because I called, and none answered, I spoke, and they did not hear, but did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delight not.

5 Escucha la palabra de Yahvé, tú que tiemblas ante su palabra: “Tus hermanos que te odian, que te echaron por mi nombre, han dicho, Que Yahvé sea glorificado, para que veamos tu alegría;’ pero son los que se verán defraudados.

Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let Jehovah be glorified, and let us see your joy! but they shall be ashamed.

6 Una voz de tumulto desde la ciudad, una voz desde el templo, una voz de Yahvé que devuelve a sus enemigos lo que merecen.

A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of Jehovah that rendereth recompence to his enemies!

7 “Antes de dar a luz, dio a luz. Antes de que llegara su dolor, dio a luz a un hijo.

Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man-child.

8 ¿Quién ha oído hablar de algo así? ¿Quién ha visto esas cosas? ¿Nacerá una tierra en un día? ¿Debe nacer una nación de una vez? Porque tan pronto como Sion se afanó, dio a luz a sus hijos.

Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Can a land be made to bring forth in one day? shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her sons.

9 ¿Haré nacer y no haré nacer?”, dice Yahvé. “¿Acaso yo, que hago dar a luz, cerraré el vientre?”, dice tu Dios.

Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith Jehovah; I who cause to bring forth, shall I shut [the womb]? saith thy God.

10 “Alégrense con Jerusalén y gócense por ella, todos los que la aman. Alegraos con ella, todos los que lloráis por ella;

Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all ye that love her; rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn over her:

11 para que amamantes y te sacies en los pechos consoladores; para que puedas beber profundamente, y se deleite con la abundancia de su gloria”.

because ye shall suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; because ye shall drink out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

12 Porque Yahvé dice: “He aquí que yo extiendo la paz hacia ella como un río, y la gloria de las naciones como un arroyo desbordado, y tú amamantarás. Te llevarán a su lado, y se le colgará de las rodillas.

For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing torrent; and ye shall suck, ye shall be carried upon the side, and be dandled upon the knees.

13 Como quien consuela a su madre, así que te consolaré. Serás consolado en Jerusalén”.

As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

14 Lo verás y tu corazón se alegrará, y tus huesos florecerán como la hierba tierna. La mano de Yahvé será conocida entre sus siervos; y tendrá indignación contra sus enemigos.

And ye shall see [this], and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the grass; and the hand of Jehovah shall be known toward his servants, and he will have indignation toward his enemies.

15 Porque he aquí que Yahvé vendrá con fuego, y sus carros serán como un torbellino; para rendir su ira con fiereza, y su reprimenda con llamas de fuego.

For behold, Jehovah will come with fire, and his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

16 Porque Yahvé ejecutará el juicio con fuego y con su espada sobre toda carne; y los muertos por Yahvé serán muchos.

For by fire and by his sword will Jehovah enter into judgment with all flesh: and the slain of Jehovah shall be many.

17 “Los que se santiguan y se purifican para ir a los jardines, siguiendo a uno en medio, comiendo carne de cerdo, cosas abominables y el ratón, acabarán juntos”, dice Yahvé.

They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one in the midst; that eat swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall perish together, saith Jehovah.

18 “Porque yo conozco sus obras y sus pensamientos. Llega el momento en que reuniré a todas las naciones y lenguas, y vendrán y verán mi gloria.

And I, — their works and their thoughts [are before me]. ...[The time] cometh for the gathering of all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

19 “Pondré una señal entre ellos, y enviaré a los que escapen de ellos a las naciones, a Tarsis, Pul y Lud, que tensan el arco, a Tubal y Javán, a islas lejanas, que no han oído mi fama ni han visto mi gloria; y ellos anunciarán mi gloria entre las naciones.

And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow; to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory: and they shall declare my glory among the nations.

20 Traerán a todos tus hermanos de todas las naciones como ofrenda a Yahvé, en caballos, en carros, en literas, en mulos y en camellos, a mi santo monte de Jerusalén, dice Yahvé, como los hijos de Israel traen su ofrenda en vasija limpia a la casa de Yahvé.

And they shall bring all your brethren out of all the nations as an oblation unto Jehovah, upon horses, and in chariots, and in covered waggons, and upon mules, and upon dromedaries, to my holy mountain, to Jerusalem, saith Jehovah, as the children of Israel bring an oblation in a clean vessel into the house of Jehovah.

21 De ellos seleccionaré también a los sacerdotes y a los levitas, dice el Señor.

And I will also take of them for priests [and] for Levites, saith Jehovah.

22 “Porque como los cielos nuevos y la tierra nueva que haré, permanecerán ante mí — dice el Señor —, así permanecerán tu descendencia y tu nombre.

For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before me, saith Jehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain.

23 Sucederá que de una luna nueva a otra, y de un sábado a otro, toda la carne vendrá a adorar ante mí”, dice Yahvé.

And it shall come to pass from new moon to new moon, and from sabbath to sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, saith Jehovah.

24 “Saldrán y mirarán los cadáveres de los hombres que han prevaricado contra mí; porque su gusano no morirá, ni se apagará su fuego, y serán repugnantes para toda la humanidad.”

And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorrence unto all flesh.
