Isaías 63

1 ¿Quién es este que viene de Edom, con prendas teñidas de Bozrah? ¿Quién es este que es glorioso en su ropa, marchando en la grandeza de su fuerza? “Soy yo quien habla con justicia, poderoso para salvar”.

Who is this who comes from Edom, clothed in red from Bozrah? Who is he in royal clothing, marching confidently because of his great strength? It is I, speaking righteousness and powerfully able to save.

2 Por qué su ropa es roja, y tus vestidos como el que pisa la cuba de vino?

Why are your clothes red, and why do they look like you have been treading grapes in a winepress?

3 “He pisado el lagar solo. De los pueblos, nadie estaba conmigo. Sí, los pisé en mi ira y los pisoteé en mi ira. Su sangre vital está rociada en mis prendas, y he manchado toda mi ropa.

I have trodden grapes in the winepress alone, and no one from the nations joined me. I trod them in my anger and trampled them in my fury. Their blood is spattered on my clothes and stained all my clothes.

4 Porque el día de la venganza estaba en mi corazón, y el año de mi redención ha llegado.

For I looked forward to the day of vengeance, and the year for my redemption had arrived.

5 Miré, y no había nadie para ayudar; y me pregunté si no había nadie que lo defendiera. Por lo tanto, mi propio brazo me trajo la salvación. Mi propia ira me sostuvo.

I looked, and there was no one to help. I wondered that there was none to help, but my own arm brought victory for me, and my strong anger drove me on.

6 Yo pisoteé a los pueblos en mi cólera y los emborraché en mi ira. Derramé su sangre vital sobre la tierra”.

I trampled down the peoples in my anger and made them drunk in my wrath, and I poured out their blood on the earth.

7 Voy a contar las bondades de Yahvé y las alabanzas de Yahvé, según todo lo que Yahvé nos ha dado, y la gran bondad hacia la casa de Israel, que les ha dado según sus misericordias, y según la multitud de sus amorosas bondades.

I will tell of the acts of Yahweh's covenant faithfulness, the praiseworthy deeds of Yahweh. I will tell of all that Yahweh has done for us, and of his great goodness to the house of Israel. This compassion he has shown us because of his mercy, and with many deeds of covenant faithfulness.

8 Porque dijo: “Ciertamente, ellos son mi pueblo, niños que no traten con falsedad”. por lo que se convirtió en su Salvador.

For he said, “For certain they are my people, children who are not disloyal.” He became their Savior.

9 En toda la aflicción de ellos fue afligido, y el ángel de su presencia los salvó. En su amor y en su piedad los redimió. Él los soportó, y los llevó todos los días de antaño.

Through all their suffering, he suffered too, and the angel from his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he saved them, and he lifted them up and carried them through all the ancient times.

10 Pero se rebelaron y entristeció a su Espíritu Santo. Por eso se volvió y se convirtió en su enemigo, y él mismo luchó contra ellos.

But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. So he became their enemy and fought against them.

11 Entonces se acordó de los días de antaño, Moisés y su pueblo, diciendo, “¿Dónde está el que los sacó del mar con los pastores de su rebaño? ¿Dónde está el que puso su Espíritu Santo entre ellos?”

His people thought about the ancient times of Moses. They said, “Where is God, who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is God, who put his Holy Spirit among them?

12 ¿Quién hizo que su brazo glorioso estuviera a la derecha de Moisés? ¿Quién dividió las aguas ante ellos, para hacerse un nombre eterno?

Where is God, who made his glorious power go with the right hand of Moses, and divided the water before them, to make an everlasting name for himself?

13 Que los condujo a través de las profundidades, como un caballo en el desierto, ¿para que no tropezaran?

Where is God, who led them through the deep water? Like a horse running on flat land, they did not stumble.

14 Como el ganado que baja al valle, El Espíritu de Yahvé les hizo descansar. Así que dirigiste a tu pueblo para hacerte un nombre glorioso.

As the cattle that go down into the valley, the Spirit of Yahweh gave them rest. So you led your people, to make yourself a name of praise.

15 Mira desde el cielo, y ver desde la morada de tu santidad y de tu gloria. ¿Dónde están tu celo y tus actos de poder? El anhelo de tu corazón y tu compasión se contienen hacia mí.

Look down from heaven and take notice from your holy and glorious habitation. Where are your zeal and your mighty acts? Your pity and your compassionate actions are kept from us.

16 Porque tú eres nuestro Padre, aunque Abraham no nos conoce, e Israel no nos reconoce. Tú, Yahvé, eres nuestro Padre. Nuestro Redentor desde siempre es tu nombre.

For you are our father, though Abraham does not know us, and Israel does not recognize us, you, Yahweh, are our father. 'Our Redeemer' has been your name from ancient times.

17 Oh, Yahvé, ¿por qué nos haces desviarnos de tus caminos? y endurecer nuestro corazón por tu miedo? Regresa por el bien de tus sirvientes, las tribus de su herencia.

Yahweh, why do you make us wander from your ways and harden our hearts, so we do not obey you? Return for your servants' sake, the tribes of your inheritance.

18 Tu pueblo santo lo poseyó sólo por un tiempo. Nuestros adversarios han pisoteado tu santuario.

Your people possessed your holy place for a short time, but then our enemies trampled it.

19 Nosotros, nos hemos vuelto como aquellos sobre los que nunca has gobernado, como los que no fueron llamados por su nombre.

We have become like those over whom you never ruled, like those who were never called by your name.”
