Isaías 59
1 He aquí que la mano de Yahvé no se ha acortado para no salvar; ni su oído embotado, que no puede oír.
Beholde, the Lordes hande is not shortened, that it can not saue: neither is his eare heauie, that it cannot heare.
2 Pero tus iniquidades te han separado de tu Dios, y tus pecados te han ocultado su rostro, para que no oiga.
But your iniquities haue separated betweene you and your God, and your sinnes haue hidde his face from you, that he will not heare.
3 Porque tus manos están manchadas de sangre, y tus dedos con iniquidad. Tus labios han dicho mentiras. Tu lengua murmura maldades.
For your handes are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquitie: your lips haue spoken lies and your tongue hath murmured iniquitie.
4 Nadie demanda en justicia, y nadie aboga por la verdad. Confían en la vanidad y decir mentiras. Conciben el mal y dar a luz a la iniquidad.
No man calleth for iustice: no man contendeth for trueth: they trust in vanitie, and speake vaine things: they conceiue mischiefe, and bring foorth iniquitie.
5 Incuban los huevos de los sumideros y tejer la tela de araña. El que come de sus huevos muere; y lo que se aplasta se convierte en una víbora.
They hatch cockatrice egges, and weaue the spiders webbe: he that eateth of their egges, dieth, and that which is trode vpon, breaketh out into a serpent.
6 Sus telarañas no se convertirán en prendas de vestir. No se cubrirán con sus obras. Sus obras son obras de iniquidad, y los actos de violencia están en sus manos.
Their webbes shall be no garment, neither shall they couer themselues with their labours: for their workes are workes of iniquitie, and the worke of crueltie is in their handes.
7 Sus pies corren hacia el mal, y se apresuran a derramar sangre inocente. Sus pensamientos son pensamientos de iniquidad. La desolación y la destrucción están en su camino.
Their feete runne to euill, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are wicked thoughts: desolation and destruction is in their paths.
8 No conocen el camino de la paz; y no hay justicia en sus caminos. Se han hecho caminos torcidos; Quien entra en ellas no conoce la paz.
The way of peace they knowe not, and there is none equitie in their goings: they haue made them crooked paths: whosoeuer goeth therein, shall not knowe peace.
9 Por eso la justicia está lejos de nosotros, y la justicia no nos sobrepasa. Buscamos la luz, pero vemos la oscuridad; para el brillo, pero caminamos en la oscuridad.
Therefore is iudgement farre from vs, neither doeth iustice come neere vnto vs: we waite for light, but loe, it is darkenesse: for brightnesse, but we walke in darkenesse.
10 Buscamos a tientas la pared como los ciegos. Sí, andamos a tientas como los que no tienen ojos. Tropezamos con el mediodía como si fuera el crepúsculo. Entre los que son fuertes, somos como hombres muertos.
Wee grope for the wall like the blinde, and we grope as one without eyes: we stumble at the noone day as in the twilight: we are in solitarie places, as dead men.
11 Todos rugimos como osos y gimen tristemente como palomas. Buscamos justicia, pero no la hay, para la salvación, pero está lejos de nosotros.
We roare all like beares, and mourne like dooues: wee looke for equitie, but there is none: for health, but it is farre from vs.
12 Porque nuestras transgresiones se multiplican ante ti, y nuestros pecados testifican contra nosotros; porque nuestras transgresiones están con nosotros, y en cuanto a nuestras iniquidades, las conocemos:
For our trespasses are many before thee, and our sinnes testifie against vs: for our trespasses are with vs, and we knowe our iniquities
13 transgrediendo y negando a Yahvé, y alejándose de seguir a nuestro Dios, hablando de opresión y revuelta, concibiendo y pronunciando desde el corazón palabras de falsedad.
In trespassing and lying against the Lord, and wee haue departed away from our God, and haue spoken of crueltie and rebellion, conceiuing and vttering out of the heart false matters.
14 La justicia se vuelve hacia atrás, y la justicia está lejos; porque la verdad ha caído en la calle, y la rectitud no puede entrar.
Therefore iudgement is turned backewarde, and iustice standeth farre off: for trueth is fallen in the streete, and equitie cannot enter.
15 Sí, falta la verdad; y el que se aparta del mal se convierte en presa. Yahvé lo vio, y le disgustaba que no hubiera justicia.
Yea, trueth faileth, and hee that refraineth from euill, maketh himselfe a praye: and when the Lord sawe it, it displeased him, that there was no iudgement.
16 Vio que no había ningún hombre, y se extrañó de que no hubiera ningún intercesor. Por lo tanto, su propio brazo le trajo la salvación; y su justicia lo sostenía.
And when he sawe that there was no man, hee wondered that none woulde offer him selfe. Therefore his arme did saue it, and his righteousnes it selfe did sustaine it.
17 Se puso la justicia como coraza, y un casco de salvación en su cabeza. Se puso ropas de venganza para vestirse, y estaba revestido de celo como un manto.
For he put on righteousnes, as an habergeon, and an helmet of saluation vpon his head, and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeale as a cloke.
18 Según sus actos, que se reembolsará según corresponda: ira a sus adversarios, recompensa a sus enemigos. Él devolverá a las islas lo que les corresponde.
As to make recompence, as to requite the furie of the aduersaries with a recompence to his enemies: he will fully repaire the ylands.
19 Así temerán el nombre de Yahvé desde el oeste, y su gloria desde la salida del sol; porque vendrá como una corriente de agua, que impulsa el aliento de Yahvé.
So shall they feare the Name of the Lord from the West, and his glory from the rising of the sunne: for the enemie shall come like a flood: but the Spirit of the Lord shall chase him away.
20 “Un Redentor vendrá a Sión, y a los que se apartan de la desobediencia en Jacob”, dice Yahvé.
And the Redeemer shall come vnto Zion, and vnto them that turne from iniquitie in Iaakob, saith the Lord.
21 “En cuanto a mí, éste es mi pacto con ellos”, dice Yahvé. “Mi Espíritu, que está sobre ti, y mis palabras que he puesto en tu boca no se apartarán de tu boca, ni de la boca de tu descendencia, ni de la boca de la descendencia de tu descendencia”, dice Yahvé, “desde ahora y para siempre”.
And I will make this my couenant with them, saith the Lord. My Spirit that is vpon thee, and my wordes, which I haue put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seede, nor out of the mouth of the seede of thy seede, saith the Lord, from hencefoorth euen for euer.
