Hebreos 6
1 Por lo tanto, dejando la enseñanza de los primeros principios de Cristo, prosigamos hacia la perfección, volviendo a poner el fundamento del arrepentimiento de las obras muertas, de la fe hacia Dios,
Therefore having left the word of the beginning of Christ, let us be carried to perfection; not again laying the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2 de la enseñanza de los bautismos, de la imposición de manos, de la resurrección de los muertos y del juicio eterno. (aiōnios g166)
of the teaching of baptisms, and of the laying on of hands, and of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (aiōnios g166)
3 Esto haremos, si Dios lo permite.
And we will do this, if God may permit.
4 Porque en cuanto a los que una vez fueron iluminados y gustaron del don celestial, y fueron hechos partícipes del Espíritu Santo,
For it is impossible that those having been once enlightened, and tasted the heavenly gift, and have been made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
and having tasted the beautiful word of God, and the dynamites of the coming age, (aiōn g165)
6 y luego recayeron, es imposible renovarlos de nuevo al arrepentimiento, ya que crucifican de nuevo al Hijo de Dios para sí mismos, y lo exponen a la vergüenza.
indeed having fallen away, to renew them again unto repentance; having crucified to themselves again the Son of God, and put him to an open shame.
7 Porque la tierra que ha bebido la lluvia que viene a menudo sobre ella y produce una cosecha adecuada para los que la cultivan, recibe la bendición de Dios;
For the earth drinking the rain coming often upon her, and bringing forth the herb nutritious to those by whom it is also cultivated, receives blessings from God:
8 pero si produce espinas y cardos, es rechazada y está a punto de ser maldecida, cuyo fin es ser quemada.
but that which produces thorns and thistles, is reprobate, and nigh unto the curse; whose end is unto burning.
9 Pero, amados, estamos persuadidos de cosas mejores para vosotros, y de cosas que acompañan a la salvación, aunque hablemos así.
But, beloved, we are persuaded better things concerning you, and things appertaining to salvation, if indeed we do thus speak.
10 Porque Dios no es injusto, como para olvidar vuestra obra y el trabajo de amor que habéis mostrado hacia su nombre, al servir a los santos, y al servirlos todavía.
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the divine love which you manifested in his name, having ministered to the saints, and ministering.
11 Deseamos que cada uno de vosotros muestre la misma diligencia en la plenitud de la esperanza hasta el final,
But we desire each one of you to exhibit the same diligence unto the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 para que no seáis perezosos, sino imitadores de los que por la fe y la perseverancia heredaron las promesas.
in order that you may not be dull, but imitators of those who through faith and longsufferings do inherit the promises.
13 Porque cuando Dios hizo una promesa a Abraham, como no podía jurar por nadie más grande, juró por sí mismo,
For God having promised Abraham, since he had no greater one by whom to swear, swore by himself,
14 diciendo: “Ciertamente te bendeciré y te multiplicaré”.
saying, If indeed blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee:
15 Así, habiendo soportado pacientemente, obtuvo la promesa.
and thus having waited long, he received the promise.
16 Porque los hombres ciertamente juran por uno mayor, y en toda disputa suya el juramento es definitivo para la confirmación.
For men swear by the greater: and an oath of confirmation is to them an end to all controversy:
17 De este modo, Dios, decidido a mostrar más abundantemente a los herederos de la promesa la inmutabilidad de su consejo, se interpuso con un juramento,
but God, in this wishing more abundantly to show forth to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 para que por dos cosas inmutables, en las que es imposible que Dios mienta, tengamos un fuerte estímulo, los que hemos huido para refugiarnos en la esperanza puesta ante nosotros.
that through two immutable things in which it was impossible that God should lie, we who have fled may have a strong consolation to lay hold of the hope set before us,
19 Esta esperanza la tenemos como ancla del alma, una esperanza segura y firme que entra en lo que está dentro del velo,
which we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast and entering into that which is in the veil,
