Hageo 2
1 En el mes séptimo, a los veintiún días del mes, vino la palabra de Yahvé por medio del profeta Ageo, diciendo:
In the seuenth moneth, in the one and twentieth day of the moneth, came the worde of the Lord by the ministerie of the Prophet Haggai, saying,
2 “Habla ahora a Zorobabel, hijo de Salatiel, gobernador de Judá, y a Josué, hijo de Josadac, sumo sacerdote, y al resto del pueblo, diciendo:
Speake nowe to Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel prince of Iudah, and to Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
3 ‘¿Quién queda entre vosotros que haya visto esta casa en su antigua gloria? ¿Cómo la veis ahora? ¿No es a vuestros ojos como nada?
Who is left among you, that sawe this House in her first glory, and howe doe you see it nowe? is it not in your eyes, in comparison of it as nothing?
4 Pero ahora esfuérzate, Zorobabel — dice el Señor. Sé fuerte, Josué hijo de Josadac, el sumo sacerdote. Sé fuerte, todo el pueblo de la tierra — dice el Señor — y trabaja, porque yo estoy contigo — dice el Señor de los Ejércitos.
Yet nowe be of good courage, O Zerubbabel, sayth the Lord, and be of good comfort, O Iehoshua, sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest: and be strong, all ye people of the land, sayth the Lord, and doe it: for I am with you, sayth the Lord of hostes,
5 Esta es la palabra que pacté con ustedes cuando salieron de Egipto, y mi Espíritu vivió entre ustedes. ‘No tengan miedo’.
According to the worde that I couenanted with you, when ye came out of Egypt: so my Spirite shall remaine among you, feare ye not.
6 Porque esto es lo que dice el Señor de los Ejércitos: ‘Todavía falta un poco, y haré temblar los cielos, la tierra, el mar y la tierra seca;
For thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Yet a litle while, and I will shake the heauens and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land:
7 y haré temblar a todas las naciones. Vendrá el tesoro de todas las naciones, y llenaré de gloria esta casa, dice el Señor de los Ejércitos.
And I will moue all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come, and I will fill this House with glory, sayth the Lord of hostes.
8 Mía es la plata y el oro, dice el Señor de los Ejércitos.
The siluer is mine, and the golde is mine, sayth the Lord of hostes.
9 ‘La última gloria de esta casa será mayor que la primera’, dice el Señor de los Ejércitos; ‘y en este lugar daré la paz’, dice el Señor de los Ejércitos.”
The glory of this last House shall be greater then the first, sayth the Lord of hostes: and in this place will I giue peace, sayth the Lord of hostes.
10 En el día veinticuatro del mes noveno, en el segundo año de Darío, vino la palabra de Yahvé por medio del profeta Hageo, diciendo:
In the foure and twentieth day of the ninth moneth, in the second yeere of Darius, came the worde of the Lord vnto the Prophet Haggai, saying,
11 “Dice Yahvé de los Ejércitos: Pregunta ahora a los sacerdotes acerca de la ley, diciendo:
Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Aske nowe the Priests concerning the Law, and say,
12 ‘Si alguien lleva carne sagrada en el pliegue de su vestido, y con su pliegue toca pan, guiso, vino, aceite o cualquier alimento, ¿se convertirá en algo sagrado?’” Los sacerdotes respondieron: “No”.
If one beare holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt doe touch the bread, or the potage, or the wine, or oyle, or any meate, shall it be holy? And the Priests answered and said, No.
13 Entonces Hageo dijo: “Si uno que es impuro por causa de un cadáver toca algo de esto, ¿será impuro?” Los sacerdotes respondieron: “Será impuro”.
Then sayde Haggai, If a polluted person touch any of these, shall it be vncleane? And the Priests answered, and sayd, It shalbe vncleane.
14 Entonces Hageo respondió: “‘Así es este pueblo, y así es esta nación ante mí’, dice el Señor; ‘y así es toda obra de sus manos. Lo que ofrecen allí es impuro.
Then answered Haggai, and sayd, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the Lord: and so are all the workes of their hands, and that which they offer here, is vncleane.
15 Ahora bien, consideren desde este día y hacia atrás, antes de que se pusiera una piedra sobre otra en el templo de Yahvé.
And nowe, I pray you, consider in your mindes: from this day, and afore, euen afore a stone was layde vpon a stone in the Temple of the Lord:
16 Durante todo ese tiempo, cuando uno llegaba a un montón de veinte medidas, sólo había diez. Cuando uno llegaba a la cuba de vino para sacar cincuenta, sólo había veinte.
Before these things were, when one came to an heape of twentie measures, there were but ten: when one came to the wine presse for to drawe out fiftie vessels out of the presse, there were but twentie.
17 Yo te he golpeado con tizón, moho y granizo en toda la obra de tus manos, pero no te has vuelto a mí — dice el Señor.
I smote you with blasting, and with mildewe, and with haile, in all the labours of your hands: yet you turned not to me, saith the Lord.
18 ‘Considera, por favor, desde este día y hacia atrás, desde el día veinticuatro del noveno mes, desde el día en que se pusieron los cimientos del templo de Yahvé, considéralo.
Consider, I pray you, in your mindes, from this day, and afore from the foure and twentieth day of the ninth moneth, euen from the day that the foundation of the Lords Temple was laide: consider it in your mindes.
19 ¿Está todavía la semilla en el granero? Sí, la vid, la higuera, el granado y el olivo no han producido. Desde hoy los bendeciré”.
Is the seede yet in the barne? as yet the vine, and the figtree, and the pomegranate, and the oliue tree hath not brought forth: from this day will I blesse you.
20 La palabra de Yahvé vino por segunda vez a Hageo en el día veinticuatro del mes, diciendo:
And againe the worde of the Lord came vnto Haggai in the foure and twentieth day of the moneth, saying,
21 “Habla a Zorobabel, gobernador de Judá, diciendo: ‘Voy a hacer temblar los cielos y la tierra.
Speake to Zerubbabel the prince of Iudah, and say, I wil shake the heauens and the earth,
22 Derribaré el trono de los reinos. Destruiré la fuerza de los reinos de las naciones. Derribaré los carros y a los que van en ellos. Los caballos y sus jinetes caerán, cada uno por la espada de su hermano.
And I will ouerthrowe the throne of kingdomes, and I wil destroy the strength of the kingdomes of the heathen, and I wil ouerthrowe the charets, and those that ride in them, and the horse and the riders shall come downe, euery one by the sword of his brother.
23 En aquel día, dice el Señor de los Ejércitos, te tomaré a ti, Zorobabel, mi siervo, hijo de Salatiel — dice el Señor —, y te pondré como anillo de sello, porque te he elegido — dice el Señor de los Ejércitos.”
In that day, saith the Lord of hostes, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel my seruant, the sonne of Shealtiel, sayth the Lord, and wil make thee as a signet: for I haue chosen thee, sayth the Lord of hostes.
