Gálatas 1
1 Pablo, apóstol — no de los hombres, ni por medio de los hombres, sino por medio de Jesucristo y de Dios Padre, que lo resucitó de entre los muertos —
PAUL, a legate, not from men, nor by man, but by Jesus the Messiah, and God his Father, who raised him from the dead;
2 y todos los hermanos que están conmigo, a las asambleas de Galacia:
and all the brethren who are with me; unto the churches which are in Galatia.
3 Gracia y paz a vosotros, de parte de Dios Padre y de nuestro Señor Jesucristo,
Grace be with you, and peace, from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus the Messiah;
4 que se entregó a sí mismo por nuestros pecados, para librarnos de este presente siglo malo, según la voluntad de nuestro Dios y Padre — (aiōn g165)
who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this evil world, agreeably to the pleasure of God our Father: (aiōn g165)
to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 Me maravilla que abandonéis tan pronto al que os llamó en la gracia de Cristo por otra “buena noticia”,
I admire, how soon ye have turned from the Messiah, who called you by his grace, unto another gospel;
7 pero no hay otra “buena noticia”. Sólo que hay algunos que os molestan y quieren pervertir la Buena Nueva de Cristo.
which doth not exist, except as there are some who would disquiet you, and are disposed to pervert the gospel of the Messiah.
8 Pero aunque nosotros, o un ángel del cielo, os predique otra “buena noticia” distinta de la que os hemos predicado, que sea maldito.
But if we, or an angel from heaven, should announce to you differently from what we have announced to you, let him be accursed.
9 Como hemos dicho antes, lo repito ahora: si alguien os predica una “buena noticia” distinta de la que habéis recibido, que sea maldito.
As I have just said, and now I again say it, that if any one announce to you differently from what ye received, let him be accursed.
10 Porque, ¿busco ahora el favor de los hombres o el de Dios? ¿O me esfuerzo por complacer a los hombres? Porque si siguiera complaciendo a los hombres, no sería siervo de Cristo.
For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I had till now pleased men, I should not have been a servant of the Messiah.
11 Pero os hago saber, hermanos, acerca de la Buena Nueva que fue predicada por mí, que no es según el hombre.
But I make known to you, my brethren, that the gospel announced by me, was not from man.
12 Porque no la recibí de un hombre, ni me fue enseñada, sino que me llegó por revelación de Jesucristo.
For I did not receive it and learn it from man, but I had it by revelation from Jesus the Messiah.
13 Porque habéis oído hablar de mi manera de vivir en el pasado en la religión de los judíos, de cómo perseguí sin medida a la asamblea de Dios y la asalté.
For ye have heard of my former course of life in Judaism, that I persecuted the church of God exceedingly, and destroyed it:
14 Avancé en la religión de los judíos más que muchos de mi edad entre mis compatriotas, siendo más celoso de las tradiciones de mis padres.
and that I went much farther in Judaism than many of my contemporaries who were of my nation, and was peculiarly zealous for the doctrine of my fathers.
15 Pero cuando le pareció bien a Dios, que me separó desde el vientre de mi madre y me llamó por su gracia,
But when it pleased him, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
16 revelar a su Hijo en mí, para que lo predicara entre los gentiles, no consulte inmediatamente con la carne y la sangre,
to reveal his Son by me, that I should proclaim him among the Gentiles; forthwith, I did not open it to flesh and blood;
17 ni subí a Jerusalén con los que eran apóstoles antes que yo, sino que me fui a Arabia. Luego volví a Damasco.
nor did I go to Jerusalem, to them who were legates before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus:
18 Después de tres años, subí a Jerusalén para visitar a Pedro, y estuve con él quince días.
and after three years, I went to Jerusalem to see Cephas; and I remained with him fifteen days.
19 Pero de los demás apóstoles no vi a ninguno, sino a Santiago, el hermano del Señor.
But others of the legates I saw not, except James, our Lord's brother.
20 Ahora bien, sobre las cosas que os escribo, he aquí que ante Dios no miento.
In the things which I am writing to you, behold, before God! I lie not.
21 Entonces llegué a las regiones de Siria y Cilicia.
And after that, I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
22 Las asambleas de Judea que estaban en Cristo aún no me conocían,
And the churches in Judaea which were in the Messiah; did not know me personally:
23 pero sólo escucharon: “El que antes nos perseguía, ahora predica la fe que antes intentó destruir.”
but this only had they heard, that he who before persecuted us, now preacheth that faith which in time preceding he subverted:
24 Así glorificaban a Dios en mí.
and they glorified God in me.
