Esdras 6
1 Entonces el rey Darío dictó un decreto, y se registró la casa de los archivos, donde se guardaban los tesoros en Babilonia.
Then Darius the king made a decree, and they sought in the house of the books of the treasuries placed there in Babylon,
2 Se encontró un pergamino en Acmetá, en el palacio que está en la provincia de Media, y en él se escribió esto para que quede constancia:
and there hath been found at Achmetha, in a palace that [is] in the province of Media, a roll, and a record thus written within it [is]:
3 En el primer año del rey Ciro, éste dictó un decreto: En cuanto a la casa de Dios en Jerusalén, que se construya la casa, el lugar donde se ofrecen los sacrificios, y que se pongan sus cimientos con fuerza, con su altura de sesenta codos y su anchura de sesenta codos;
'In the first year of Cyrus the king, Cyrus the king hath made a decree concerning the house of God in Jerusalem: the house let be builded in the place where they are sacrificing sacrifices, and its foundations strongly laid; its height sixty cubits, its breadth sixty cubits;
4 con tres hileras de grandes piedras y una hilera de madera nueva. Que los gastos sean dados de la casa del rey.
three rows of rolled stones, and a row of new wood, and the outlay let be given out of the king's house.
5 También que los utensilios de oro y plata de la casa de Dios, que Nabucodonosor sacó del templo que está en Jerusalén y llevó a Babilonia, sean restaurados y llevados de nuevo al templo que está en Jerusalén, cada cosa a su lugar. Los pondrás en la casa de Dios.
'And also, the vessels of the house of God, of gold and silver, that Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple that [is] in Jerusalem, and brought to Babylon, let be given back, and go to the temple that [is] in Jerusalem, [each] to its place, and put [them] down in the house of God.
6 Ahora, pues, Tattenai, gobernador del otro lado del río, Shetarbozenai, y tus compañeros los afarsaquitas, que están al otro lado del río, debes permanecer lejos de allí.
'Now, Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shethar-Boznai, and their companions, the Apharsachites, who [are] beyond the river, be ye far from hence;
7 Dejad la obra de esta casa de Dios; dejad que el gobernador de los judíos y los ancianos de los judíos construyan esta casa de Dios en su lugar.
let alone the work of this house of God, let the governor of the Jews, and the elders of the Jews, build this house of God on its place.
8 Además, yo dicto lo que haréis por estos ancianos de los judíos para la construcción de esta casa de Dios: que de los bienes del rey, incluso del tributo más allá del Río, se den gastos con toda diligencia a estos hombres, para que no sean estorbados.
'And by me is made a decree concerning that which ye do with the elders of these Jews to build this house of God, that of the riches of the king, that [are] of the tribute beyond the river, speedily let the outlay be given to these men, that they cease not;
9 Lo que necesiten, incluyendo novillos, carneros y corderos, para los holocaustos al Dios del cielo; también trigo, sal, vino y aceite, según la palabra de los sacerdotes que están en Jerusalén, que se les dé día a día sin falta,
and what they are needing — both young bullocks, and rams, and lambs for burnt-offerings to the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil according to the saying of the priests who [are] in Jerusalem — let be given to them day by day without fail,
10 para que ofrezcan sacrificios de agradable aroma al Dios del cielo, y oren por la vida del rey y de sus hijos.
that they be bringing near sweet savours to the God of heaven, and praying for the life of the king, and of his sons.
11 También he decretado que al que altere este mensaje, se le arranque una viga de su casa y se le sujete a ella, y que su casa se convierta en un estercolero por esto.
'And by me is made a decree, that any one who changeth this thing, let wood be pulled down from his house, and being raised up, let him be smitten on it, and his house let be made a dunghill for this.
12 Que el Dios que ha hecho habitar su nombre derribe a todos los reyes y pueblos que extiendan su mano para alterar esto, para destruir esta casa de Dios que está en Jerusalén. Yo, Darío, he hecho un decreto. Que se haga con toda diligencia.
And God, who caused His name to dwell there, doth cast down any king and people that putteth forth his hand to change, to destroy this house of God that [is] in Jerusalem; I Darius have made a decree; speedily let it be done.'
13 Entonces Tattenai, el gobernador del otro lado del río, Shetharbozenai y sus compañeros hicieron lo correspondiente con toda diligencia, porque el rey Darío había enviado un decreto.
Then Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shethar-Boznai, and their companions, according to that which Darius the king hath sent, so they have done speedily;
14 Los ancianos de los judíos construyeron y prosperaron, por la profecía del profeta Ageo y de Zacarías, hijo de Iddo. La edificaron y la terminaron, según el mandato del Dios de Israel, y según el decreto de Ciro, de Darío y de Artajerjes, rey de Persia.
and the elders of the Jews are building and prospering through the prophecy of Haggai the prophet, and Zechariah son of Iddo, and they have built and finished by the decree of the God of Israel, and by the decree of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.
15 Esta casa fue terminada el tercer día del mes de Adar, que fue en el sexto año del reinado del rey Darío.
And this house hath gone out till the third day of the month Adar, that is [in] the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.
16 Los hijos de Israel, los sacerdotes, los levitas y el resto de los hijos del cautiverio, celebraron la dedicación de esta casa de Dios con alegría.
And the sons of Israel have made, [and] the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the sons of the captivity, a dedication of this house of God with joy,
17 Ofrecieron en la dedicación de esta casa de Dios cien toros, doscientos carneros y cuatrocientos corderos; y como ofrenda por el pecado para todo Israel, doce machos cabríos, según el número de las tribus de Israel.
and have brought near for the dedication of this house of God, bullocks a hundred, rams two hundred, lambs four hundred; and young he-goats for a sin-offering for all Israel, twelve, according to the number of the tribes of Israel;
18 Pusieron a los sacerdotes en sus divisiones y a los levitas en sus turnos, para el servicio de Dios que está en Jerusalén, como está escrito en el libro de Moisés.
and they have established the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses, over the service of God that [is] in Jerusalem, as it is written in the book of Moses.
19 Los hijos del cautiverio celebraron la Pascua el día catorce del primer mes.
And the sons of the captivity make the passover on the fourteenth of the first month,
20 Como los sacerdotes y los levitas se habían purificado juntos, todos ellos estaban puros. Mataron la Pascua por todos los hijos del cautiverio, por sus hermanos los sacerdotes y por ellos mismos.
for the priests and the Levites have been purified together — all of them [are] pure — and they slaughter the passover for all the sons of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.
21 Los hijos de Israel que habían regresado del cautiverio, y todos los que se habían separado de la inmundicia de las naciones del país para buscar a Yahvé, el Dios de Israel, comieron,
And the sons of Israel, those returning from the captivity, and every one who is separated from the uncleanness of the nations of the land unto them, to seek to Jehovah, God of Israel, do eat,
22 y celebraron con alegría la fiesta de los panes sin levadura durante siete días, porque Yahvé los había alegrado y había hecho volver el corazón del rey de Asiria hacia ellos, para fortalecer sus manos en la obra de Dios, el Dios de la casa de Israel.
and they make the feast of unleavened things seven days with joy, for Jehovah made them to rejoice, and turned round the heart of the king of Asshur unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.
