Ezequiel 4

1 “Tú también, hijo de hombre, toma una teja y colócala delante de ti, y retrata sobre ella una ciudad, Jerusalén.

“You also, son of man, take a tile, and lay it before yourself, and portray on it a city, even Jerusalem.

2 Ponle sitio, construye contra ella fortalezas y levanta contra ella un montículo. Poned también contra ella campamentos y plantad contra ella arietes por todas partes.

Lay siege against it, build forts against it, and cast up a mound against it. Also set camps against it and plant battering rams against it all around.

3 Toma para ti una sartén de hierro y ponla como muro de hierro entre tú y la ciudad. Entonces pon tu cara hacia ella. Será sitiada, y tú la sitiarás. Esto será una señal para la casa de Israel.

Take for yourself an iron pan and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city. Then set your face towards it. It will be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.

4 “Acuéstate además sobre tu lado izquierdo, y pon sobre él la iniquidad de la casa de Israel. Según el número de los días que te acuestes sobre ella, llevarás su iniquidad.

“Moreover lie on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it. According to the number of the days that you shall lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity.

5 Porque yo he dispuesto que los años de su iniquidad sean para ti un número de días, trescientos noventa días. Así llevarás la iniquidad de la casa de Israel.

For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be to you a number of days, even three hundred and ninety days. So you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

6 “Además, cuando hayas cumplido con esto, te acostarás sobre tu lado derecho y cargarás con la iniquidad de la casa de Judá. Yo te he señalado cuarenta días, cada día por un año.

“Again, when you have accomplished these, you shall lie on your right side, and shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah. I have appointed forty days, each day for a year, to you.

7 Pondrás tu rostro hacia el sitio de Jerusalén, con el brazo descubierto, y profetizarás contra él.

You shall set your face towards the siege of Jerusalem, with your arm uncovered; and you shall prophesy against it.

8 He aquí que yo te pongo cuerdas, y no te volverás de un lado a otro, hasta que hayas cumplido los días de tu asedio.

Behold, I put ropes on you, and you shall not turn yourself from one side to the other, until you have accomplished the days of your siege.

9 “Toma también para ti el trigo, la cebada, las judías, las lentejas, el mijo y la espelta, y ponlos en una vasija. Haz pan con ello. Según el número de los días que te acuestes de lado, trescientos noventa días, comerás de él.

“Take for yourself also wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel. Make bread of it. According to the number of the days that you will lie on your side, even three hundred and ninety days, you shall eat of it.

10 Tu comida que comerás será por peso, veinte siclos al día. De vez en cuando lo comerás.

Your food which you shall eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day. From time to time you shall eat it.

11 Beberás agua por medida, la sexta parte de un hin. De vez en cuando beberás.

You shall drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin. From time to time you shall drink.

12 Lo comerás como tortas de cebada, y lo hornearás a la vista de ellos con estiércol que sale del hombre.”

You shall eat it as barley cakes, and you shall bake it in their sight with dung that comes out of man.”

13 Yahvé dijo: “Así comerán los hijos de Israel su pan impuro, entre las naciones a las que los conduciré.”

The LORD said, “Even thus will the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, amongst the nations where I will drive them.”

14 Entonces dije: “¡Ah, Señor Yahvé! He aquí que mi alma no se ha contaminado, pues desde mi juventud hasta ahora no he comido de lo que muere por sí mismo, ni se desgarra de los animales. Ninguna carne abominable ha entrado en mi boca”.

Then I said, “Ah Lord GOD! Behold, my soul has not been polluted; for from my youth up even until now I have not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of animals. No abominable meat has come into my mouth!”

15 Entonces me dijo: “He aquí que te he dado estiércol de vaca en lugar de estiércol de hombre, y sobre él prepararás tu pan”.

Then he said to me, “Behold, I have given you cow’s dung for man’s dung, and you shall prepare your bread on it.”

16 Además, me dijo: “Hijo de hombre, he aquí que voy a partir el bastón del pan en Jerusalén. Comerán el pan a peso, y con temor. Beberán agua por medida, y con espanto;

Moreover he said to me, “Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem. They will eat bread by weight, and with fearfulness. They will drink water by measure, and in dismay;

17 para que les falte el pan y el agua, se consternen unos a otros, y se consuman en su maldad.

that they may lack bread and water, be dismayed one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.
