Ezequiel 38
1 La palabra de Yahvé vino a mí, diciendo:
And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
2 “Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro hacia Gog, de la tierra de Magog, el príncipe de Rosh, Meshech y Tubal, y profetiza contra él,
Son of man Set thy face against Gog of the land of the Magog, Prince of Rosh Meshech and Tubal, - And prophesy concerning him,
3 y di: “El Señor Yahvé dice: “He aquí que yo estoy contra ti, Gog, príncipe de Rosh, Meshech y Tubal.
and thou shalt say, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, — Behold me! against thee O Gog, Prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal;
4 Te haré girar y pondré garfios en tus mandíbulas, y te sacaré con todo tu ejército, caballos y jinetes, todos vestidos con armadura completa, una gran compañía con escudo y hebilla, todos manejando espadas;
Therefore I will turn thee about, and will put hooks in thy jaws, —and bring thee forth and all thine army. Horses and horsemen Clothed with gorgeous attire, all of them, A mighty gathered host With shield and buckler handling swords, all of them:
5 Persia, Cus y Put con ellos, todos con escudo y casco;
Persia Ethiopia and Libya with them, All of them, with shield and helmet;
6 Gomer y todas sus hordas; la casa de Togarma en los confines del norte, y todas sus hordas; incluso muchos pueblos contigo.
Gomer and all her hordes, The house of Togarmah the remote men of the North and all his hordes, Many peoples with thee.
7 “‘“Prepárate, sí, prepárate tú, y todas tus compañías que se reúnen contigo, y sé un guardia para ellos.
Be ready, and show thyself ready, Thou and all thy gathered host who have gathered themselves unto thee, — And become thou for me a guard.
8 Después de muchos días serás visitado. En los últimos años vendrás a la tierra que ha sido devuelta de la espada, que ha sido reunida de entre muchos pueblos, en los montes de Israel, que han sido un continuo despojo; pero ha sido sacada de entre los pueblos, y todos ellos habitarán con seguridad.
After many days, shalt thou muster thy forces, In the afterpart of the years, shalt thou enter Into the land of the remnant brought back from the sword Gathered from among many peoples, Upon the mountains of Israel which have been waste continually, — But the same! from among the peoples, hath been brought forth, And they shall dwell in security, all of them.
9 Ascenderás. Vendrás como una tormenta. Serás como una nube que cubrirá la tierra, tú y todas tus hordas, y muchos pueblos contigo”.
Then shalt thou come up, Like a storm, shalt thou enter, Like a cloud covering the land, shalt thou be, — Thou and all thy hordes, and many peoples with thee.
10 “‘El Señor Yahvé dice: “Sucederá en ese día que vendrán cosas a tu mente, y concebirás un plan malvado.
Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh, — So shall it be in that day, that thoughts will come up on thy heart.- And thou wilt devise a wicked device;
11 Dirás: ‘Subiré a la tierra de las aldeas sin muros. Iré a los que están en reposo, a los que habitan con seguridad, a todos los que habitan sin muros, y que no tienen ni rejas ni puertas,
and wilt say— I will go up over a land of hamlets, I will enter among them who are at rest dwelling securely, — All of them, dwelling without a wall, Who bars and doors, have none;
12 para tomar el botín y hacer presa; para volver tu mano contra los lugares despoblados que están habitados, y contra el pueblo que se ha reunido de las naciones, que ha conseguido ganado y bienes, que habita en medio de la tierra.’
To capture spoil. And take prey, - To bring back thy hand over desolate places at length inhabited And against a people gathered from among the nations, Getting herds and substance Dwelling upon the navel of the earth.
13 Saba, Dedán y los mercaderes de Tarsis, con todos sus leones jóvenes, te preguntarán: ‘¿Has venido a tomar el botín? ¿Habéis reunido vuestra compañía para tomar la presa, para llevaros la plata y el oro, para llevaros el ganado y los bienes, para llevaros un gran botín?’”
Sheba and Dedan and the traders of Tarshish and all her young lions, will say to thee, To capture spoil, art thou coming? And to take prey, hast thou called together thy gathered host? To carry off silver and gold To take away herds and substance, To capture great spoil?
14 “Por tanto, hijo de hombre, profetiza y dile a Gog: “El Señor Yahvé dice: “En aquel día en que mi pueblo Israel habite con seguridad, ¿no lo sabrás tú?
Therefore prophesy, Son of man, and thou shalt say to Gog. Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh: Shall it not be in that day, because my people Israel are dwelling securely: , that thou wilt rouse thyself?
15 Vendrás de tu lugar, de los confines del norte, tú y muchos pueblos contigo, todos ellos montados a caballo, una gran compañía y un poderoso ejército.
Therefore wilt thou come out of thy place. Out of the remote parts of the North, Thou and many peoples with thee, —Riding on horses all of them, A mighty gathered host. Yea a great army;
16 Subirás contra mi pueblo Israel como una nube para cubrir la tierra. Sucederá en los últimos días que te traeré contra mi tierra, para que las naciones me conozcan cuando me santifique en ti, Gog, ante sus ojos.”
Therefore wilt thou come up, against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the land, — In the afterpart of the days, shall it be. that I will suffer thee to enter upon my land, To the end the nations may know me, when I hallow myself in thee before their eyes O Gog!
17 “‘Dice el Señor Yahvé: “¿Eres tú aquel de quien hablé en tiempos pasados por medio de mis siervos los profetas de Israel, que profetizaron en aquellos días durante años que te llevaría contra ellos?
Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, Art thou, he of whom I spake in days aforetime by the hand of my servants the prophets of Israel, who kept on prophesying in those days for years, —That thou shouldest be suffered to come against them?
18 Sucederá en aquel día, cuando Gog venga contra la tierra de Israel — dice el Señor Yahvé — que mi ira subirá a mi nariz.
So then shall it come to pass in that day, In the day when Gog entereth upon the soil of Israel, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, That mine indignation shall come up into my nostrils;
19 Porque en mi celo y en el fuego de mi ira he hablado. Ciertamente en ese día habrá un gran temblor en la tierra de Israel,
Yea, in my jealousy, in the fire of mine outburst, have I spoken, - Surely in that day, shall there be a great trembling upon the soil of Israel:
20 de modo que los peces del mar, las aves del cielo, los animales del campo, todos los reptiles que se arrastran sobre la tierra y todos los hombres que están sobre la superficie de la tierra se estremecerán ante mi presencia. Entonces los montes se derrumbarán, los lugares escarpados caerán, y todo muro se derrumbará.
Then shall tremble before me The fishes of the sea, and The bird of the heavens and The wild beast of the field, and Every creeping thing that creepeth on the ground, and All the men who are on the face of the ground, — and The mountains, shall be torn asunder, and The steep places, shall sink down, and, Every wall, to the earth, shall be thrown.
21 Llamaré a la espada contra él a todos mis montes”, dice el Señor Yahvé. “La espada de cada hombre será contra su hermano.
Then will I call against him, every terror, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, the sword of every man against his brother, shall be;
22 Entraré en juicio con él con pestilencia y con sangre. Haré llover sobre él, sobre sus hordas y sobre los muchos pueblos que lo acompañan, lluvias torrenciales con grandes piedras de granizo, fuego y azufre.
Then will I contend with him by pestilence and by blood, - And an overflowing downpour and hail-stones fire and brimstone, will I rain Upon him, and Upon his hordes, and Upon the many peoples who are with him.
23 Me engrandeceré y me santificaré, y me daré a conocer a los ojos de muchas naciones. Entonces sabrán que yo soy Yahvé”.
So will I Magnify myself and Hallow myself, and Make myself known. Before the eyes of many nations, —And they shall know that I, am Yahweh.
