Ezequiel 29
1 En el décimo año, en el décimo mes, en el duodécimo día del mes, vino a mí la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo:
In the tenth year, in the tenth month, in the twelfth day of the month, the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
2 “Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro contra Faraón, rey de Egipto, y profetiza contra él y contra todo Egipto.
Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt;
3 Habla y di: ‘Dice el Señor Yahvé: “He aquí que estoy contra ti, Faraón rey de Egipto, el gran monstruo que se encuentra en medio de sus ríos, que ha dicho: “Mi río es mío”, y lo he hecho para mí”.
Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh, king of Egypt, thou great dragon, that liest in the midst of thy rivers, and sayest, “My river is my own, and I have made it for myself.”
4 Pondré anzuelos en sus mandíbulas, y haré que los peces de tus ríos se peguen a tus escamas. Te sacaré del medio de tus ríos, con todos los peces de tus ríos que se pegan a tus escamas.
And I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to cleave to thy scales, and I will draw thee forth from the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers which cleave to thy scales.
5 Te echaré al desierto, tú y todos los peces de tus ríos. Caerás en el campo abierto. No se les reunirá ni se les reunirá. Te he dado como alimento a los animales de la tierra y a las aves del cielo.
And I will cast thee into the desert, thee and all the fish of thy rivers; thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered; to the beasts of the field and the birds of heaven I have given thee for food.
6 “‘“Todos los habitantes de Egipto sabrán que yo soy Yahvé, porque han sido un bastón de caña para la casa de Israel.
And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am Jehovah; because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.
7 Cuando te tomaron de la mano, rompiste y desgarraste todos sus hombros. Cuando se apoyaron en ti, rompiste y paralizaste todos sus muslos”.
When they took hold of thee by thy handle, thou didst break and pierce their whole shoulder; and when they leaned upon thee, thou didst go to pieces, and madest all their loins to shake.
8 “‘Por eso dice el Señor Yahvé: “He aquí que traigo sobre ti una espada, y cortaré de ti hombres y animales.
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee;
9 La tierra de Egipto será una desolación y una ruina. Entonces sabrán que yo soy Yahvé. “Porque ha dicho: ‘El río es mío, y yo lo he hecho’,
and the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am Jehovah, because he hath said, “The river is mine, and I have made it.”
10 por lo tanto, he aquí que estoy contra ti y contra tus ríos. Convertiré la tierra de Egipto en una completa ruina y desolación, desde la torre de Seveneh hasta la frontera de Etiopía.
Therefore, behold, I am against thee, and against thy rivers; and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from Migdol even to Syene, and to the borders of Ethiopia.
11 Ningún pie de hombre pasará por ella, ni ningún pie de animal pasará por ella. No será habitada durante cuarenta años.
There shall not pass through it the foot of man, and the foot of beast shall not pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.
12 Haré de la tierra de Egipto una desolación en medio de los países desolados. Sus ciudades entre las ciudades asoladas serán una desolación durante cuarenta años. Esparciré a los egipcios entre las naciones y los dispersaré por los países”.
I will make the land of Egypt desolate amidst the lands that are desolate, and her cities, among the cities that are laid waste, shall be desolate forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
13 “‘Porque el Señor Yahvé dice: “Al cabo de cuarenta años reuniré a los egipcios de entre los pueblos donde estaban dispersos.
Yet thus saith the Lord Jehovah: At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the nations whither they are scattered;
14 Invertiré el cautiverio de Egipto y los haré volver a la tierra de Patros, a la tierra de su nacimiento. Allí serán un reino humilde.
and I will bring back the captives of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their origin; and they shall be there a mean kingdom;
15 Será el más bajo de los reinos. Ya no se alzará por encima de las naciones. Los disminuiré de tal manera que ya no gobernarán sobre las naciones.
it shall be the meanest of all kingdoms; it shall no more exalt itself above the nations; for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
16 Ya no será la confianza de la casa de Israel, trayendo la iniquidad a la memoria, cuando se vuelvan a mirar hacia ellos. Entonces sabrán que yo soy el Señor Yahvé”.
And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing to my remembrance their iniquity in looking to them for help; and they shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.
17 Sucedió que en el año veintisiete, en el primer mes, en el primer día del mes, vino a mí la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo:
And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, that the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
18 “Hijo de hombre, Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, hizo que su ejército prestara un gran servicio contra Tiro. Todas las cabezas se quedaron calvas y todos los hombros se desgastaron; sin embargo, él no tuvo salario, ni su ejército, de Tiro, por el servicio que había prestado contra ella.
Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre; every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled; yet neither he nor his army had wages from Tyre for the service which he served against it.
19 Por eso dice el Señor Yahvé: ‘He aquí que yo entrego la tierra de Egipto a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia. Él se llevará su multitud, tomará su botín y se apoderará de su presa. Ese será el salario de su ejército.
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her plunder; and it shall be wages for his army.
20 Le he dado la tierra de Egipto como pago por lo que sirvió, porque trabajaron para mí’, dice el Señor Yahvé.
For his wages for his service I will give him the land of Egypt; for they wrought for me, saith the Lord Jehovah.
21 “En aquel día haré brotar un cuerno para la casa de Israel, y abriré tu boca entre ellos. Entonces sabrán que yo soy Yahvé”.
In that day will I cause a horn to grow forth to the house of Israel, and I will give thee to open the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
