Ezequiel 22
1 Y vino a mí la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo:
Moreover the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
2 “Tú, hijo de hombre, ¿vas a juzgar? ¿Juzgarás a la ciudad sangrienta? Entonces haz que conozca todas sus abominaciones.
“You, son of man, will you judge? Will you judge the bloody city? Then cause her to know all her abominations.
3 Dirás: El Señor Yahvé dice: “¡Ciudad que derrama sangre dentro de sí misma, para que llegue su hora, y que hace ídolos contra sí misma para contaminarla!
You shall say, ‘The Lord GOD says: “A city that sheds blood within herself, that her time may come, and that makes idols against herself to defile her!
4 ¡Te has vuelto culpable por la sangre que has derramado, y te has contaminado por los ídolos que has hecho! Has hecho que se acerquen tus días, y has llegado al final de tus años. Por eso te he convertido en un oprobio para las naciones, y en una burla para todos los países.
You have become guilty in your blood that you have shed, and are defiled in your idols which you have made! You have caused your days to draw near, and have come to the end of your years. Therefore I have made you a reproach to the nations, and a mocking to all the countries.
5 Los que están cerca y los que están lejos de ti se burlarán de ti, infame, lleno de tumulto.
Those who are near and those who are far from you will mock you, you infamous one, full of tumult.
6 “He aquí que los príncipes de Israel, cada uno según su poder, han estado en ti para derramar sangre.
“‘“Behold, the princes of Israel, everyone according to his power, have been in you to shed blood.
7 En ti han tratado con desprecio al padre y a la madre. En ti han oprimido al extranjero. En ti han agraviado al huérfano y a la viuda.
In you have they treated father and mother with contempt. Amongst you they have oppressed the foreigner. In you they have wronged the fatherless and the widow.
8 Han despreciado mis cosas sagradas y han profanado mis sábados.
You have despised my holy things, and have profaned my Sabbaths.
9 Los calumniadores han estado en ti para derramar sangre. En vosotros han comido en los montes. Han cometido actos de lujuria entre vosotros.
Slanderous men have been in you to shed blood. In you they have eaten on the mountains. They have committed lewdness amongst you.
10 En ustedes han descubierto la desnudez de sus padres. En ustedes han humillado a la impura en su impureza.
In you have they uncovered their fathers’ nakedness. In you have they humbled her who was unclean in her impurity.
11 Uno ha cometido abominación con la mujer de su prójimo, y otro ha mancillado a su nuera. Otro en ti ha humillado a su hermana, la hija de su padre.
One has committed abomination with his neighbour’s wife, and another has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law. Another in you has humbled his sister, his father’s daughter.
12 En ti han aceptado sobornos para derramar sangre. Han tomado interés y aumento, y han ganado con avaricia de sus vecinos mediante la opresión, y se han olvidado de mí”, dice el Señor Yahvé.
In you have they taken bribes to shed blood. You have taken interest and increase, and you have greedily gained of your neighbours by oppression, and have forgotten me,” says the Lord GOD.
13 “‘“He aquí, pues, que he golpeado mi mano por la ganancia deshonesta que has hecho, y por la sangre que se ha derramado en ti.
“‘“Behold, therefore I have struck my hand at your dishonest gain which you have made, and at the blood which has been shed within you.
14 ¿Podrá tu corazón soportar, o tus manos ser fuertes, en los días en que voy a tratar contigo? Yo, Yahvé, lo he dicho y lo haré.
Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I will deal with you? I, the LORD, have spoken it, and will do it.
15 Te esparciré entre las naciones y te dispersaré por los países. Purificaré de ti tu inmundicia.
I will scatter you amongst the nations, and disperse you through the countries. I will purge your filthiness out of you.
16 Serás profanado en ti mismo a la vista de las naciones. Entonces sabrás que yo soy Yahvé”.
You will be profaned in yourself in the sight of the nations. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”’”
17 La palabra de Yahvé vino a mí, diciendo:
The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
18 “Hijo de hombre, la casa de Israel se ha convertido en escoria para mí. Todos ellos son bronce, estaño, hierro y plomo en medio del horno. Son la escoria de la plata.
“Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to me. All of them are bronze, tin, iron, and lead in the middle of the furnace. They are the dross of silver.
19 Por eso el Señor Yahvé dice: ‘Como todos ustedes se han convertido en escoria, he aquí que yo los reuniré en medio de Jerusalén.
Therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the middle of Jerusalem.
20 Como se recoge la plata, el bronce, el hierro, el plomo y el estaño en medio del horno, para soplar el fuego sobre ellos y fundirlos, así los reuniré a ustedes en mi ira y en mi enojo, y los pondré allí y los fundiré.
As they gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the middle of the furnace, to blow the fire on it, to melt it, so I will gather you in my anger and in my wrath, and I will lay you there and melt you.
21 Sí, te reuniré y soplaré sobre ti con el fuego de mi ira, y serás fundido en medio de ella.
Yes, I will gather you, and blow on you with the fire of my wrath, and you will be melted in the middle of it.
22 Como la plata se funde en medio del horno, así seréis fundidos en medio de él; y sabréis que yo, Yahvé, he derramado mi ira sobre vosotros.’”
As silver is melted in the middle of the furnace, so you will be melted in the middle of it; and you will know that I, the LORD, have poured out my wrath on you.’”
23 La palabra de Yahvé vino a mí, diciendo:
The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
24 “Hijo de hombre, dile que eres una tierra que no se limpia ni llueve en el día de la indignación.
“Son of man, tell her, ‘You are a land that is not cleansed nor rained on in the day of indignation.’
25 Hay una conspiración de sus profetas en ella, como un león rugiente que devora la presa. Han devorado las almas. Se llevan tesoros y objetos preciosos. Han dejado viudas a muchas personas.
There is a conspiracy of her prophets within it, like a roaring lion ravening the prey. They have devoured souls. They take treasure and precious things. They have made many widows within it.
26 Sus sacerdotes han violado mi ley y han profanado mis cosas sagradas. No han hecho distinción entre lo santo y lo común, ni han hecho discernir entre lo inmundo y lo limpio, y han ocultado sus ojos de mis sábados. Así he sido profanado entre ellos.
Her priests have done violence to my law and have profaned my holy things. They have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they caused men to discern between the unclean and the clean, and have hidden their eyes from my Sabbaths. So I am profaned amongst them.
27 Sus príncipes en su interior son como lobos que cazan la presa, para derramar sangre y destruir las almas, a fin de obtener ganancias deshonestas.
Her princes within it are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood and to destroy souls, that they may get dishonest gain.
28 Sus profetas han enlucido para ellos con cal, viendo visiones falsas, y adivinando mentiras para ellos, diciendo: ‘El Señor Yahvé dice’, cuando Yahvé no ha hablado.
Her prophets have plastered for them with whitewash, seeing false visions, and divining lies to them, saying, ‘The Lord GOD says,’ when the LORD has not spoken.
29 El pueblo de la tierra ha usado la opresión y ha ejercido el robo. Sí, han molestado al pobre y al necesitado, y han oprimido al extranjero injustamente.
The people of the land have used oppression and exercised robbery. Yes, they have troubled the poor and needy, and have oppressed the foreigner wrongfully.
30 “Busqué entre ellos a un hombre que construyera el muro y se pusiera en la brecha delante de mí para la tierra, a fin de no destruirla; pero no encontré a nadie.
“I sought for a man amongst them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.
31 Por eso, he derramado sobre ellos mi indignación. Los he consumido con el fuego de mi ira. He hecho recaer sobre sus cabezas su propio camino”, dice el Señor Yahvé.
Therefore I have poured out my indignation on them. I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath. I have brought their own way on their heads,” says the Lord GOD.
