Ezequiel 11

1 Además, el Espíritu me levantó y me llevó a la puerta oriental de la casa de Yahvé, que mira hacia el este. He aquí que había veinticinco hombres a la puerta, y vi entre ellos a Jaazanías, hijo de Azzur, y a Pelatías, hijo de Benaía, príncipes del pueblo.

And a spirit bore me up, and brought me unto the east gate of the house of the Lord, which looketh eastward: and behold, there were at the entrance of the gate five and twenty men; and I saw in the midst of them Yaazanyah the son of 'Azzur, and Pelatyahu the son of Benayahu, princes of the people.

2 Me dijo: “Hijo de hombre, estos son los hombres que traman la iniquidad y dan consejos perversos en esta ciudad;

Then said he unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise wickedness, and give evil counsel in this city;

3 que dicen: ‘No está cerca el tiempo de construir casas’. Este es el caldero, y nosotros somos la carne’.

Who say, [The evil] is not near; so let us build houses: this [city] is the pot, and we are the flesh.

4 Por tanto, profetiza contra ellos. Profetiza, hijo de hombre”.

Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.

5 El Espíritu de Yahvé cayó sobre mí, y me dijo: “Habla, Yahvé dice: “Así habéis dicho, casa de Israel; porque yo sé las cosas que se os ocurren.

And the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak, Thus hath said the Lord, Thus have ye said, O house of Israel; and whatever cometh into your mind, do I know full well.

6 Habéis multiplicado vuestros muertos en esta ciudad, y habéis llenado sus calles de muertos.”

Ye have multiplied those slain by you in this city, and ye have filled its streets with the slain.

7 “‘Por eso dice el Señor Yahvé: “Tus muertos que has puesto en medio de él, ellos son la carne, y éste es el caldero; pero tú serás sacado de en medio de él.

Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Those slain by you whom ye have struck down in the midst of it, —they are the flesh, and this place is the pot; but you are to be removed out of the midst of it.

8 Ustedes han temido a la espada; y yo traeré la espada sobre ustedes”, dice el Señor Yahvé.

The sword have ye feared: and the sword will I bring over you, saith the Lord Eternal.

9 “Os sacaré de en medio, os entregaré en manos de extraños y ejecutaré juicios entre vosotros.

And I will remove you out of the midst of it, and I will give you up into the hand of strangers, and will execute punishments among you.

10 Caerás por la espada. Te juzgaré en la frontera de Israel. Entonces sabrás que yo soy Yahvé.

By the sword shall ye fall; on the boundary of Israel will I judge you: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

11 Este no será tu caldero, ni tú serás la carne en medio de él. Yo te juzgaré en la frontera de Israel.

This place shall not be unto you as a pot, so that you should be as flesh in the midst of it; but on the boundary of Israel will I judge you.

12 Sabrás que yo soy el Señor, porque no has andado en mis estatutos. No habéis ejecutado mis ordenanzas, sino que habéis hecho según las ordenanzas de las naciones que os rodean”.

And ye shall know that I am the Lord: because in my statutes have ye not walked, and my ordinances have ye not executed; but ye have done after the ordinances of the nations that are round about you.

13 Mientras yo profetizaba, murió Pelatías, hijo de Benaía. Entonces me postré sobre mi rostro y clamé a gran voz, diciendo: “¡Ah, Señor Yahvé! ¿Vas a acabar por completo con el resto de Israel?”

And it came to pass, as I was prophesying, that Pelatyahu the son of Benayah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord Eternal! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?

14 La palabra de Yahvé vino a mí, diciendo:

Then came the word of the Lord unto me, saying,

15 “Hijo de hombre, tus hermanos, los hombres de tu parentela, y toda la casa de Israel, todos ellos, son aquellos a quienes los habitantes de Jerusalén han dicho: ‘Vete lejos de Yahvé. Esta tierra nos ha sido dada en posesión’.

Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and the whole house of Israel altogether, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Remain you far from the Lord: unto us is this land given for a possession.

16 “Di, pues, que el Señor Yahvé dice: “Aunque los he alejado entre las naciones y los he dispersado por los países, les seré un santuario por un tiempo en los países a los que han llegado”.

Therefore say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Although I have removed them far away among the nations, and although I have scattered them among the countries: yet will I be to them as a minor sanctuary in the countries whither they are come.

17 “Di, pues, que el Señor Yahvé ha dicho: “Os reuniré de entre los pueblos y os reuniré de entre los países en los que estáis dispersos, y os daré la tierra de Israel”.

Therefore say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will both gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries whether ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

18 “‘Vendrán allí, y quitarán de allí todas sus cosas detestables y todas sus abominaciones.

And they shall come thither, and they shall remove all its detestable things, and all its abominations out of it.

19 Les daré un corazón, y pondré un espíritu nuevo dentro de ellos. Quitaré el corazón de piedra de su carne, y les daré un corazón de carne,

And I will give them one single heart, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will remove the heart of stone out of their body, and I will give unto them a heart of flesh:

20 para que anden en mis estatutos y guarden mis ordenanzas y las cumplan. Ellos serán mi pueblo, y yo seré su Dios.

In order that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them; and they shall be unto me for a people, and I will indeed be unto them for a God.

21 Pero en cuanto a aquellos cuyo corazón camina según el corazón de sus cosas detestables y de sus abominaciones, haré recaer su camino sobre sus propias cabezas,’ dice el Señor Yahvé.”

But as for those whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, their way do I bring upon their own head, saith the Lord Eternal.

22 Entonces los querubines levantaron sus alas y las ruedas estaban junto a ellos. La gloria del Dios de Israel estaba por encima de ellos.

Then did the cherubim lift up their wings, and the wheels at the same time with them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

23 La gloria de Yahvé subió desde el centro de la ciudad y se paró en el monte que está al este de la ciudad.

And the glory of the Lord ascended from the midst of the city, and halted upon the mount which is on the east side of the city.

24 El Espíritu me elevó y me llevó en visión por el Espíritu de Dios a Caldea, a los cautivos. Y la visión que había visto se alejó de mí.

But a spirit bore me up, and brought me into Chaldea, to those in exile, in the appearance through the spirit of God: and then ascended away from me the appearance which I had seen.

25 Entonces hablé a los cautivos de todo lo que el Señor me había mostrado.

Then did I speak unto those in exile all the things that the Lord had shown me.
