Efesios 1
1 Pablo, apóstol de Cristo Jesús por la voluntad de Dios, a los santos que están en Éfeso y a los fieles en Cristo Jesús:
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Gracia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que nos ha bendecido con toda bendición espiritual en los lugares celestiales en Cristo,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms.
4 así como nos eligió en él antes de la fundación del mundo, para que fuéramos santos y sin defecto ante él en el amor,
For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love
5 habiéndonos predestinado para ser adoptados como hijos por medio de Jesucristo para sí mismo, según el beneplácito de su deseo,
He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will,
6 para alabanza de la gloria de su gracia, por la cual nos favoreció gratuitamente en el Amado.
to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One.
7 En él tenemos nuestra redención por medio de su sangre, el perdón de nuestros delitos, según las riquezas de su gracia
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
8 que hizo abundar para con nosotros en toda sabiduría y prudencia,
that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.
9 dándonos a conocer el misterio de su voluntad, según su beneplácito que se propuso en él
And He has made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ
10 para una administración de la plenitud de los tiempos, para resumir en Cristo todas las cosas, las que están en los cielos y las que están en la tierra.
as a plan for the fullness of time, to bring all things in heaven and on earth together in Christ.
11 También a nosotros se nos asignó una herencia en él, habiendo sido preordenados según el propósito de aquel que hace todas las cosas según el consejo de su voluntad,
In Him we were also chosen as God’s own, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything by the counsel of His will,
12 a fin de que seamos para alabanza de su gloria, nosotros que antes esperábamos en Cristo.
in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, would be for the praise of His glory.
13 En él también vosotros, habiendo oído la palabra de la verdad, la Buena Nueva de vuestra salvación, en quien, habiendo creído también, fuisteis sellados con el Espíritu Santo prometido,
And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth—the gospel of your salvation—you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
14 que es prenda de nuestra herencia, para la redención de la posesión de Dios, para alabanza de su gloria.
who is the pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of His glory.
15 Por eso yo también, habiendo oído de la fe en el Señor Jesús que hay entre vosotros y del amor que tenéis hacia todos los santos,
For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,
16 no ceso de dar gracias por vosotros, haciendo mención de vosotros en mis oraciones,
I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,
17 para que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de la gloria, os dé un espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación en el conocimiento de él,
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in your knowledge of Him.
18 teniendo los ojos de vuestros corazones iluminados, para que sepáis cuál es la esperanza de su llamamiento y cuáles son las riquezas de la gloria de su herencia en los santos,
I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints,
19 y cuál es la supereminente grandeza de su poder para con nosotros los que creemos, según la operación de la fuerza de su poder
and the surpassing greatness of His power to us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength,
20 que obró en Cristo cuando lo resucitó de entre los muertos y lo hizo sentar a su derecha en los lugares celestiales,
which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms,
21 muy por encima de todo gobierno, autoridad, poder, dominio y todo nombre que se nombra, no sólo en este siglo, sino también en el venidero. (aiōn g165)
far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. (aiōn g165)
22 Sometió todas las cosas a sus pies y le dio como cabeza de todas las cosas a la asamblea,
And God put everything under His feet and made Him head over everything for the church,
23 que es su cuerpo, la plenitud de aquel que lo llena todo en todos.
which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
