Daniel 12

1 “En aquel tiempo se levantará Miguel, el gran príncipe que defiende a los hijos de tu pueblo; y habrá un tiempo de angustia, como nunca lo hubo desde que hubo una nación hasta ese mismo tiempo. En ese momento tu pueblo será liberado, todos los que se encuentren escritos en el libro.

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

2 Muchos de los que duermen en el polvo de la tierra se despertarán, unos para la vida eterna y otros para la vergüenza y el desprecio eterno.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

3 Los que son sabios brillarán como el resplandor de la expansión. Los que convierten a muchos a la justicia brillarán como las estrellas por los siglos de los siglos.

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

4 Pero tú, Daniel, cierra las palabras y sella el libro hasta el tiempo del fin. Muchos correrán de un lado a otro, y el conocimiento se incrementará”.

But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run back and forth, and knowledge shall be increased.

5 Entonces yo, Daniel, miré, y he aquí que otros dos estaban de pie, uno en la orilla del río de este lado, y el otro en la orilla del río de aquel lado.

Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

6 Uno de ellos dijo al hombre vestido de lino, que estaba sobre las aguas del río: “¿Cuánto tiempo falta para el fin de estas maravillas?”

And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

7 Oí al hombre vestido de lino, que estaba sobre las aguas del río, cuando levantó su mano derecha y su mano izquierda al cielo, y juró por el que vive para siempre que será por un tiempo, tiempos y medio; y cuando hayan terminado de romper en pedazos el poder del pueblo santo, todas estas cosas estarán terminadas.

And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by him that lives for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

8 Lo oí, pero no lo entendí. Entonces dije: “Mi señor, ¿cuál será el resultado de estas cosas?”

And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

9 Dijo: “Vete, Daniel, porque las palabras están encerradas y selladas hasta el tiempo del fin.

And he said, Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

10 Muchos se purificarán, se blanquearán y se refinarán, pero los malvados harán maldades; y ninguno de los malvados entenderá, sino que los sabios entenderán.

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

11 “Desde el momento en que se quite el holocausto continuo y se instale la abominación desoladora, habrá mil doscientos noventa días.

And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

12 Bienaventurado el que espera y llega a los mil trescientos treinta y cinco días.

Blessed is he that waits, and comes to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

13 “Pero sigue tu camino hasta el final; porque descansarás y estarás en tu herencia al final de los días”.

But go you your way till the end be: for you shall rest, and stand in your lot at the end of the days.
