Colosenses 1
1 Pablo, apóstol de Cristo Jesús por la voluntad de Dios, y Timoteo nuestro hermano,
PAUL, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy a brother,
2 a los santos y fieles hermanos en Cristo de Colosas: Gracia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
to the saints at Colosse, and to the faithful brethren in Christ: grace be unto you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Damos gracias a Dios Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, orando siempre por vosotros,
We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, always praying for you,
4 habiendo oído de vuestra fe en Cristo Jesús y del amor que tenéis hacia todos los santos,
having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and the love ye show to all the saints;
5 a causa de la esperanza que os está reservada en los cielos, de la cual habéis oído antes en la palabra de la verdad de la Buena Nueva
because of the hope laid up for you in the heavens, which ye have heard before in the word of truth, the gospel,
6 que os ha llegado, así como está en todo el mundo y da fruto y crece, como lo hace también en vosotros, desde el día en que oísteis y conocisteis la gracia de Dios en la verdad,
which is come unto you, as it is also unto all the world; and beareth fruit, as also among you, from the day that ye heard and knew the grace of God in truth;
7 así como lo aprendisteis de Epafras, nuestro amado consiervo, que es un fiel servidor de Cristo en favor vuestro,
even as ye have learned from Epaphras our beloved fellow-labourer, who is a faithful minister of Christ for you;
8 que también nos declaró vuestro amor en el Espíritu.
who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.
9 Por esta razón, nosotros también, desde el día en que oímos esto, no cesamos de orar y de pedir por vosotros, para que seáis llenos del conocimiento de su voluntad en toda sabiduría e inteligencia espirituales,
For this cause we also from the day we heard it have not ceased praying for you, and beseeching God that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 a fin de que andéis dignamente del Señor, para agradarle en todo, llevando fruto en toda buena obra y creciendo en el conocimiento de Dios,
that ye may walk worthy of the Lord, well pleasing him in all things, in every good work fruitful, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11 fortalecidos con todo poder según el poder de su gloria, para toda resistencia y perseverancia con alegría,
strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joy;
12 dando gracias al Padre, que nos hizo aptos para ser partícipes de la herencia de los santos en la luz,
giving thanks to God, even the Father, who hath made us meet for a portion in the inheritance of the saints in light;
13 que nos libró del poder de las tinieblas y nos trasladó al Reino del Hijo de su amor,
who hath plucked us out from the dominion of darkness, and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love:
14 en quien tenemos nuestra redención, el perdón de nuestros pecados.
in whom we have redemption through his blood, and forgiveness of sins.
15 Él es la imagen del Dios invisible, el primogénito de toda la creación.
Who is the image of the invisible God, the prime author of all creation:
16 Porque por él fueron creadas todas las cosas en los cielos y en la tierra, las visibles y las invisibles, sean tronos, sean dominios, sean principados, sean potestades. Todo ha sido creado por medio de él y para él.
for by him were all things created, celestial and terrestrial, visible or invisible, whether thrones, or dominations, or principalities, or powers, all were created by him, and for him:
17 Él es antes de todas las cosas, y en él se mantienen todas las cosas.
and he is before all, and by him all things subsist.
18 Él es la cabeza del cuerpo, la asamblea, que es el principio, el primogénito de entre los muertos, para que en todo tenga la preeminencia.
And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the first begotten from the dead, that he might be in all things pre-eminent.
19 Porque toda la plenitud se complació en habitar en él,
For it hath pleased the Father that in him all fulness should dwell;
20 y por medio de él reconciliar consigo todas las cosas, tanto las que están en la tierra como las que están en los cielos, haciendo la paz mediante la sangre de su cruz.
and by him to reconcile all things to himself, making peace by the blood of his cross: by him, I say, whether they be things on earth, or things in the heavens.
21 Vosotros, que en tiempos pasados estabais enajenados y erais enemigos en vuestra mente por vuestras malas acciones,
And you who in time past were all aliens, and enemies in mind by wicked works, hath he now reconciled,
22 sin embargo, ahora os ha reconciliado en el cuerpo de su carne por medio de la muerte, para presentaros santos y sin defecto e irreprochables ante él,
by the body of his flesh, through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and irreprehensible in his presence:
23 si es que permanecéis en la fe, cimentados y firmes, y no os apartáis de la esperanza de la Buena Nueva que habéis oído, que se proclama en toda la creación bajo el cielo, de la cual yo, Pablo, fui hecho servidor.
if ye abide in faith grounded and firm, and never moved aside from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which hath been preached to the whole creation which is under heaven, of which I Paul am a minister.
24 Ahora me regocijo en mis padecimientos por causa de ustedes, y lleno por mi parte lo que falta de las aflicciones de Cristo en mi carne por causa de su cuerpo, que es la asamblea,
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh the measure of afflictions for Christ which remains to be endured for his body, which is the church,
25 de la cual fui hecho siervo según la administración de Dios que me fue dada para con ustedes para cumplir la palabra de Dios,
of which I am a minister, according to the dispensation of God, which was given me for you to fulfil the ministry of the word of God―
26 el misterio que ha estado oculto por siglos y generaciones. Pero ahora ha sido revelado a sus santos, (aiōn g165)
the mystery which was hid from ages and from generations, but is now unveiled to his saints; (aiōn g165)
27 a quienes Dios quiso dar a conocer cuáles son las riquezas de la gloria de este misterio entre los gentiles, que es Cristo en vosotros, la esperanza de la gloria.
to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
28 Nosotros lo anunciamos, amonestando a todo hombre y enseñando a todo hombre con toda sabiduría, a fin de presentar a todo hombre perfecto en Cristo Jesús;
whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus;
29 para lo cual también trabajo, esforzándome según su obra, que actúa poderosamente en mí.
for which also I am labouring, conflicting in the energy of his might, which worketh in me powerfully.
