Hechos 13

1 En la asamblea que estaba en Antioquía había algunos profetas y maestros: Bernabé, Simeón que se llamaba Níger, Lucio de Cirene, Manaén el hermano adoptivo de Herodes el tetrarca, y Saulo.

But there were in the church of Antiokia prophets and teachers, Bar Naba and Shemun who was called Niger, and Lukios who was from the city of Kyrene, and Manael, a fosterbrother of Herodes Tetrarka, and Shaol.

2 Mientras servían al Señor y ayunaban, el Espíritu Santo dijo: “Separadme a Bernabé y a Saulo para la obra a la que los he llamado.”

And as they fasted and supplicated Aloha, the Spirit of Holiness said to them, Separate to me Shaol and Bar Naba for the work to which I have called them.

3 Entonces, después de ayunar y orar, y de imponerles las manos, los despidieron.

And after they had fasted and prayed, they laid upon them the hand, and dismissed them.

4 Así que, enviados por el Espíritu Santo, bajaron a Seleucia. Desde allí navegaron hasta Chipre.

And they, being sent by the Spirit of Holiness, went down to Selukia, and from thence proceeded by sea to Cyprus.

5 Cuando estuvieron en Salamina, proclamaron la palabra de Dios en las sinagogas judías. También tenían a Juan como ayudante.

And when they had entered the city Salamina, they preached the word of our Lord in the congregations of the Jihudoyee, and Juhanon ministered to them.

6 Cuando atravesaron la isla hasta llegar a Pafos, encontraron a un hechicero, falso profeta, un judío que se llamaba Bar Jesús,

And when they had itinerated through the whole island unto the city Paphos, they found a man, a certain sorcerer, a Jihudoya, who was a false prophet, whose name was Bar Shuma.

7 que estaba con el procónsul, Sergio Paulo, hombre de entendimiento. Este hombre convocó a Bernabé y a Saulo, y buscó escuchar la palabra de Dios.

This adhered to a wise man who was proconsul, and was called Sergius Paulos. And the proconsul called Shaol and Bar Naba and requested to hear from them the word of Aloha.

8 Pero el hechicero Elimas (pues así se llama según la interpretación) se les opuso, tratando de apartar al procónsul de la fe.

But this sorcerer, Bar Shuma, whose name interpreted is Elymos, stood against them, because he desired to avert the proconsul from faith.

9 Pero Saulo, que también se llama Pablo, lleno del Espíritu Santo, fijó sus ojos en él

But Shaol, he who is called PAULOS, was filled with the Spirit of Holiness, and beheld him,

10 y dijo: “Hijo del diablo, lleno de todo engaño y de toda astucia, enemigo de toda justicia, ¿no dejarás de pervertir los caminos rectos del Señor?

and said, O full of all deceits and all wickednesses, thou son of the devil, and adversary of all righteousness, ceasest thou not to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

11 Ahora, he aquí que la mano del Señor está sobre ti, y quedarás ciego, sin ver el sol por un tiempo.” Inmediatamente una niebla y la oscuridad cayeron sobre él. Anduvo buscando a alguien que lo llevara de la mano.

And now the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, and not see the sun until the time. And in the hour there fell upon him obscurity and darkness, and he went about asking some one to hold him by the hand.

12 Entonces el procónsul, al ver lo que se hacía, creyó, asombrado por la enseñanza del Señor.

But when the proconsul saw what had been done, he wondered, and believed in the doctrine of the Lord.

13 Pablo y su compañía zarparon de Pafos y llegaron a Perga, en Panfilia. Juan se separó de ellos y volvió a Jerusalén.

BUT Paulos and Bar Naba went on by sea from the City Paphos, and came to Perga, a city of Pamphylia; and Juhanon separated from them, and went to Urishlem.

14 Pero ellos, pasando de Perga, llegaron a Antioquía de Pisidia. Entraron en la sinagoga el día de reposo y se sentaron.

But they went forth from Perga, and came to Antiokia, the city of Pisidia. And they entered the synagogue, and sat on the day of shabath.

15 Después de la lectura de la ley y de los profetas, los jefes de la sinagoga les enviaron a decir: “Hermanos, si tenéis alguna palabra de exhortación para el pueblo, hablad.”

And after the law and the prophets had been read, the presbyters of the synagogue sent to them, and said, Men, brethren, have you a word of exhortation to say to the people?

16 Pablo se puso en pie y, haciendo un gesto con la mano, dijo: “Hombres de Israel, y vosotros que teméis a Dios, escuchad.

And Paulos arose, and signed with his hand, and said to them:

17 El Dios de este pueblo eligió a nuestros padres, y exaltó al pueblo cuando permanecía como extranjero en la tierra de Egipto, y con el brazo levantado lo sacó de ella.

Men, sons of Israel, and those who fear Aloha, hearken! The God of this people elected our fathers, and exalted and magnified them, when they were sojourners in the land of Metsreen, and with uplifted arm brought them out therefrom

18 Durante un período de unos cuarenta años los soportó en el desierto.

And he nourished them in the desert forty years.

19 Después de haber destruido siete naciones en la tierra de Canaán, les dio su tierra en herencia durante unos cuatrocientos cincuenta años.

And he destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, and gave them their land an inheritance. And four hundred and fifty years

20 Después de esto, les dio jueces hasta el profeta Samuel.

he gave them judges, until Shamuel the prophet;

21 Después pidieron un rey, y Dios les dio a Saúl, hijo de Cis, un hombre de la tribu de Benjamín, durante cuarenta años.

and then prayed they for themselves a king; and Aloha gave to them Shaol-bar-Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, forty years.

22 Cuando lo destituyó, levantó a David para que fuera su rey, a quien también le dijo: “He encontrado a David, hijo de Isaí, un hombre según mi corazón, que hará toda mi voluntad”.

And he took him, and raised unto them David the king, and testified of him, and said, I have found David, the son of Jeshai, a man according to my heart; he will perform all my will.

23 De la descendencia de este hombre, Dios ha traído la salvación a Israel según su promesa,

From the seed of this (man) the God of Israel, as he had promised, raised up Jeshu the Redeemer.

24 antes de su venida, cuando Juan había predicado por primera vez el bautismo de arrepentimiento a Israel.

And he sent Juhanon to proclaim before his coming the baptism of repentance to the whole people of Israel.

25 Mientras Juan cumplía su curso, dijo: “¿Quién suponéis que soy yo? Yo no soy. Pero he aquí que viene uno detrás de mí, cuyas sandalias no soy digno de desatar”.

And while Juhanon accomplished his ministry, he said, Whom think you that I am? I am not (he), but, behold, he cometh after me, he, the latchet of whose sandals I am not worthy to unloose.

26 “Hermanos, hijos del linaje de Abraham, y los que entre vosotros temen a Dios, se os envía la palabra de esta salvación.

MEN, brethren, sons of the race of Abraham, and they among you who fear Aloha, unto you is sent the word of life.

27 Porque los que habitan en Jerusalén y sus gobernantes, por no conocerle, ni las voces de los profetas que se leen cada sábado, las cumplieron condenándole.

For they, the inhabitants of Urishlem and their princes, have not consented thereto, nor also to the writings of the prophets which are read on every shabath; but condemned him, and accomplished all that was written.

28 Aunque no encontraron ninguna causa de muerte, aun así pidieron a Pilato que lo mandara matar.

And while they found not any cause of death, they requested Pilatos that they might kill him.

29 Cuando se cumplieron todas las cosas que estaban escritas sobre él, lo bajaron del madero y lo pusieron en un sepulcro.

And when they had fulfilled every thing that was written concerning him, they took him from the cross, and laid him in a sepulchre.

30 Pero Dios lo resucitó de entre los muertos,

But Aloha raised him from among the dead.

31 y lo vieron durante muchos días los que subieron con él de Galilea a Jerusalén, que son sus testigos ante el pueblo.

And he was seen days many by those who had come up with him from Galila to Urishlem, and they are now his witnesses unto the people.

32 Os anunciamos la buena noticia de la promesa hecha a los padres,

And we also, behold, we preach to you that that promise which was made to our fathers,

33 que Dios ha cumplido con nosotros, sus hijos, al resucitar a Jesús. Como también está escrito en el segundo salmo, ‘Tú eres mi Hijo. Hoy me he convertido en tu padre”.

behold, Aloha hath fulfilled it to their children, (in) that he hath raised up Jeshu; as it is written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son; This day have I begotten thee.

34 “En cuanto a que lo resucitó de entre los muertos, para que ya no vuelva a la corrupción, ha hablado así: ‘Te daré las bendiciones santas y seguras de David’.

And thus did Aloha raise him from among the dead, that again he should not return thither to see corruption; as he had said, I will give you the sure grace of David.

35 Por eso dice también en otro salmo: ‘No permitirás que tu Santo vea la decadencia.’

And again he hath said in another place, Thou hast not given thy Saint to see corruption.

36 Porque David, después de haber servido en su propia generación al consejo de Dios, se durmió, fue acostado con sus padres y vio la decadencia.

For David in his generation served the will of Aloha, and slept, and was added to his fathers, and saw corruption.

37 Pero el que Dios resucitó no vio la decadencia.

But This whom Aloha raised saw no corruption.

38 Sabed, pues, hermanos, que por medio de este hombre se os anuncia la remisión de los pecados;

Know then, brethren, that through This himself is preached to you the remission of sins;

39 y que por él todo el que cree es justificado de todo, de lo cual no podíais ser justificados por la ley de Moisés.

and from all (from) which we could not by the law of Musha be justified, through This all who believe are justified.

40 Tened, pues, cuidado, no sea que venga sobre vosotros lo que se dice en los profetas:

Beware, then, lest there come upon you that which is written in the prophets:

41 “¡Mirad, burlones! Maravíllate y perece, porque yo trabajo una obra en tus días, una obra que no creerás de ninguna manera, si alguien te la declara’”.

Behold, despisers, and wonder, and perish: For a work I work in your days Which you will not believe if one should declare it to you.

42 Cuando los judíos salieron de la sinagoga, los gentiles pidieron que se les predicaran estas palabras el sábado siguiente.

And when they had gone out from among them, they besought of them that the next shabath they would speak to them these words.

43 Cuando la sinagoga se disolvió, muchos de los judíos y de los prosélitos devotos siguieron a Pablo y a Bernabé, quienes, hablándoles, les exhortaron a continuar en la gracia de Dios.

And when the congregation was dissolved, many Jihudoyee went after them; and also the proselytes who worshipped Aloha. And they discoursed (with) and persuaded them to cleave to the grace of Aloha.

44 El sábado siguiente se reunió casi toda la ciudad para oír la palabra de Dios.

AND on the next shabath the whole city gathered to hear the word of Aloha.

45 Pero los judíos, al ver las multitudes, se llenaron de celos, contradijeron lo dicho por Pablo y blasfemaron.

And when the Jihudoyee saw the great assemblage, they were filled with envy, and arose against the words which Paulos spake, and blasphemed.

46 Pablo y Bernabé hablaron con valentía y dijeron: “Era necesario que la palabra de Dios se os dijera primero. Puesto que, en efecto, la rechazáis y os juzgáis indignos de la vida eterna, he aquí que nos dirigimos a los gentiles. (aiōnios g166)

But Paulos and Bar Naba said to them openly, To you it behoved first to speak the word of Aloha; but because you repel it from you, and determine against yourselves that you are not worthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)

47 Porque así nos lo ha ordenado el Señor, diciendo, Te he puesto como luz para los gentiles, para que lleves la salvación hasta los confines de la tierra”.

For so hath our Lord commanded, as it is written, I have set thee a light to the Gentiles, To be for salvation to the ends of the earth.

48 Al oír esto, los gentiles se alegraron y glorificaron la palabra de Dios. Todos los que estaban destinados a la vida eterna creyeron. (aiōnios g166)

And when the Gentiles heard, they rejoiced and glorified Aloha; and they believed who were disposed unto eternal life. (aiōnios g166)

49 La palabra del Señor se difundió por toda la región.

And the word of Aloha was spoken in all that region.

50 Pero los judíos incitaron a las mujeres devotas y prominentes y a los principales hombres de la ciudad, y suscitaron una persecución contra Pablo y Bernabé, y los expulsaron de sus fronteras.

But the Jihudoyee excited the principal men of the city and rich women, who with them feared Aloha, and raised a persecution against Paulos and against Bar Naba, and cast them out from their bounds.

51 Pero ellos se sacudieron el polvo de sus pies contra ellos y llegaron a Iconio.

And as they went forth, they shook off against them the dust of their feet; and they came to Ikanon, a city.

52 Los discípulos se llenaron de alegría y del Espíritu Santo.

And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Spirit of Holiness.
