2 Timoteo 4

1 Os ordeno, pues, delante de Dios y del Señor Jesucristo, que juzgará a los vivos y a los muertos en su aparición y en su Reino:

I charge [thee] therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

2 predicad la palabra; urgid a tiempo y a destiempo; reprended, reprended y exhortad con toda paciencia y enseñanza.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

3 Porque vendrá el tiempo en que no escucharán la sana doctrina, sino que, teniendo comezón de oír, se amontonarán maestros según sus propias concupiscencias,

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 y apartarán sus oídos de la verdad y se volverán a las fábulas.

And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

5 Pero tú sé sobrio en todo, sufre penalidades, haz la obra de un evangelista y cumple tu ministerio.

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

6 Porque ya me han ofrecido, y ha llegado el momento de mi partida.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

7 He librado el buen combate. He terminado el curso. He mantenido la fe.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith:

8 Desde ahora me está reservada la corona de la justicia, que el Señor, el juez justo, me dará en aquel día; y no sólo a mí, sino también a todos los que han amado su aparición.

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

9 Procura venir pronto a verme,

Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:

10 porque Demas me ha dejado, amando este mundo presente, y se ha ido a Tesalónica; Crescens, a Galacia; y Tito, a Dalmacia. (aiōn g165)

For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. (aiōn g165)

11 Sólo Lucas está conmigo. Toma a Marcos y tráelo contigo, porque me es útil para el servicio.

Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

12 Pero he enviado a Tíquico a Éfeso.

And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.

13 Trae cuando vengas el manto que dejé en Troas con Carpo, y los libros, especialmente los pergaminos.

The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring [with thee], and the books, [but] especially the parchments.

14 Alejandro el calderero me hizo mucho mal. El Señor le pagará según sus actos.

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

15 Tengan cuidado con él, porque se opuso mucho a nuestras palabras.

Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

16 En mi primera defensa, nadie vino a ayudarme, sino que todos me abandonaron. Que no se les eche en cara.

At my first answer no man stood with me, but all [men] forsook me: [I pray God] that it may not be laid to their charge.

17 Pero el Señor se mantuvo a mi lado y me fortaleció, para que por medio de mí se proclamara plenamente el mensaje y lo escucharan todos los gentiles. Así fui librado de la boca del león.

Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and [that] all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

18 Y el Señor me librará de toda obra mala y me preservará para su Reino celestial. A él sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén. (aiōn g165)

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve [me] unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

19 Saludad a Prisca y a Aquila, y a la casa de Onesíforo.

Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.

20 Erasto se quedó en Corinto, pero dejé a Trófimo en Mileto enfermo.

Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.

21 Procura venir antes del invierno. Te saluda Eubulo, así como Pudente, Lino, Claudia y todos los hermanos.

Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.

22 El Señor Jesucristo esté con tu espíritu. La gracia sea contigo. Amén.

The Lord Jesus Christ [be] with thy spirit. Grace [be] with you. Amen.
