2 Tesalonicenses 1

1 Pablo, Silvano y Timoteo, a la asamblea de los tesalonicenses en Dios nuestro Padre y en el Señor Jesucristo:

Paul and Silvanus and Timothy—unto the assembly of Thessalonians, in God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ, —

2 Gracia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.

Favour unto you, and peace, from God [our] Father and Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Estamos obligados a dar siempre gracias a Dios por vosotros, hermanos, como corresponde, porque vuestra fe crece en extremo, y el amor de todos y cada uno de vosotros entre sí abunda,

We are bound, to be giving thanks, unto God, continually, concerning you, brethren, even as it is, meet; because your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all one to another aboundeth,

4 de modo que nosotros mismos nos gloriamos de vosotros en las asambleas de Dios por vuestra perseverancia y fe en todas vuestras persecuciones y en las aflicciones que soportáis.

So that, we ourselves, in you, are boasting, in the assemblies of God, over your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations which ye are sustaining: —

5 Esto es una señal evidente del justo juicio de Dios, a fin de que seáis tenidos por dignos del Reino de Dios, por el cual también sufrís.

A proof of the righteous judgment of God, to the end ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, in behalf of which ye are also suffering: —

6 Porque es cosa justa para Dios devolver la aflicción a los que os afligen,

If, at least, it is a, righteous thing with God, to recompense, affliction, unto them that afflict you,

7 y daros alivio a vosotros, que estáis afligidos con nosotros, cuando el Señor Jesús se manifieste desde el cielo con sus poderosos ángeles en fuego ardiente,

And, unto you that are afflicted, release, with us, —by the revealing of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with his messengers of power,

8 castigando a los que no conocen a Dios, y a los que no obedecen la Buena Nueva de nuestro Señor Jesús,

In a fiery flame; holding forth vengeance—against them that refuse to know God, and them who decline to hearken unto the glad-message of our Lord Jesus,

9 que pagará la la destrucción eterna de la faz del Señor y de la gloria de su poderío, (aiōnios g166)

Who, indeed, a penalty, shall pay—age-abiding destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might— (aiōnios g166)

10 cuando venga en aquel día para ser glorificado en sus santos y para ser admirado entre todos los que han creído, porque nuestro testimonio de vosotros fue creído.

Whensoever he shall come, to be made all-glorious in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all who believed, —because our witness unto you was believed, —in that day.

11 Con este fin también rogamos siempre por vosotros, para que nuestro Dios os tenga por dignos de vuestra vocación, y cumpla con fuerza todo deseo de bondad y toda obra de fe,

Unto which end, we are also praying continually for you, that our God may count, you, worthy of your calling, and fulfil every good-pleasure of goodness and work of faith, with power, —

12 para que el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesús sea glorificado en vosotros, y vosotros en él, según la gracia de nuestro Dios y del Señor Jesucristo.

That the name of our Lord Jesus may be made all-glorious in you, and, ye, in him, According to the favour of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.
