2 Samuel 22
1 David dirigió a Yahvé las palabras de este cántico el día en que Yahvé lo libró de la mano de todos sus enemigos y de la mano de Saúl,
And David spake unto Yahweh, the words of this song, in the day when Yahweh had rescued him, out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul;
2 y dijo: “Yahvé es mi roca, mi fortaleza, y mi libertador, incluso el mío;
and he said, —Yahweh, was my mountain crag and my stronghold, and my deliverer—mine;
3 Dios es mi roca en la que me refugio; mi escudo, y el cuerno de mi salvación, mi alta torre, y mi refugio. Mi salvador, me salvas de la violencia.
My God, was my rock, I sought refuge in him, —My shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, My Saviour! from violence, thou didst save me.
4 Invoco a Yahvé, que es digno de ser alabado; Así me salvaré de mis enemigos.
As one worthy to be praised, called I on Yahweh, —And, from my foes, was I saved.
5 Porque las olas de la muerte me rodearon. Las inundaciones de la impiedad me dieron miedo.
When the breakers of death had encompassed me, —the torrents of perdition, made me afraid, —
the meshes of hades, had surrounded me, —the snares of death had confronted me, (Sheol h7585)
7 En mi angustia, invoqué a Yahvé. Sí, llamé a mi Dios. Escuchó mi voz fuera de su templo. Mi grito llegó a sus oídos.
In my distress, called I on Yahweh, Yea, unto my God, did I call, —and he hearkened, out of his temple, unto my voice, and, my cry for help, was in his ears!
8 Entonces la tierra se estremeció y tembló. Los cimientos del cielo temblaron y fueron sacudidos, porque estaba enfadado.
Then did the earth shake and quake, the foundations of the heavens, were deeply moved, —yea they did shake, because he was angry,
9 Salió humo de sus fosas nasales. De su boca salió fuego consumidor. Las brasas se encendieron con él.
There went up a smoke in his nostrils, and, a fire out of his mouth, devoured, —live coals, were kindled from it:
10 También inclinó los cielos y descendió. La espesa oscuridad estaba bajo sus pies.
Then he stretched out the heavens, and came down, —and, thick gloom, was under his feet;
11 Montó en un querubín y voló. Sí, fue visto en las alas del viento.
Then he rode on a cherub, and flew, —and was seen on the wings of the wind;
12 Hizo de las tinieblas un refugio a su alrededor, la reunión de las aguas, y las espesas nubes de los cielos.
And made of the darkness around him, pavilions, —gathering of waters, clouds of vapours.
13 Ante el resplandor de la luz, se encendieron las brasas del fuego.
Out of the brightness before him, were kindled live coals of fire;
14 Yahvé tronó desde el cielo. El Altísimo emitió su voz.
Thunder from the heavens, did Yahweh give forth, —yea, the Highest, uttered his voice;
15 Envió flechas y los dispersó, rayos y los confundió.
And he sent forth arrows, and scattered them, —lightning, and confused them;
16 Entonces aparecieron los canales del mar. Los cimientos del mundo quedaron al descubierto por la reprimenda de Yahvé, al soplo de sus fosas nasales.
Then appeared the channels of the sea, were uncovered the foundations of the world, —at the rebuke of Yahweh, the blast of the breath of his nostrils;
17 Envió desde lo alto y me llevó. Me sacó de muchas aguas.
He sent from on high, he took me, —he drew me out of many waters;
18 Me libró de mi fuerte enemigo, de los que me odiaban, porque eran demasiado poderosos para mí.
He rescued me from my foe, in his might, —from them who hated me, because they were too strong for me:
19 Vinieron sobre mí en el día de mi calamidad, pero Yahvé fue mi apoyo.
They confronted me, in the day of my necessity, —then became Yahweh my stay:
20 También me llevó a un lugar grande. Me liberó, porque se deleitó en mí.
And brought out, into a large place, even me, —he delivered me, because he delighted in me:
21 El Señor me recompensó según mi justicia. Me recompensó según la limpieza de mis manos.
Yahweh rewarded me, according to my righteousness—according to the cleanness of my hands, he repaid me:
22 Porque he guardado los caminos de Yahvé, y no me he alejado impíamente de mi Dios.
For I had kept the ways of Yahweh, —and not broken away from my God;
23 Porque todas sus ordenanzas estaban delante de mí. En cuanto a sus estatutos, no me aparté de ellos.
For, all his regulations, were before me, —and, as for his statutes, I turned not from them.
24 Yo también fui perfecto con él. Me guardé de mi iniquidad.
So became I blameless towards him, —and kept myself from mine iniquity:
25 Por lo tanto, Yahvé me ha recompensado según mi justicia, Según mi limpieza en la vista.
Yahweh therefore repaid me, according to my righteousness, —according to my pureness before his eyes.
26 Con los misericordiosos te mostrarás misericordioso. Con el hombre perfecto te mostrarás perfecta.
With the loving, thou didst show thyself loving, —with the blameless hero, thou didst show thyself blameless;
27 Con los puros te mostrarás puro. Con lo torcido te mostrarás astuto.
With the pure, thou didst show thyself pure, —but, with the perverse, thou didst shew thyself ready to contend:
28 Tú salvarás al pueblo afligido, pero tus ojos están puestos en los arrogantes, para derribarlos.
And, a patient people, thou didst save, —but, thine eyes, were on the lofty—thou layedst them low;
29 Porque tú eres mi lámpara, Yahvé. Yahvé iluminará mis tinieblas.
For, thou, wast my lamp, O Yahweh, —and, Yahweh, enlightened my darkness;
30 Por ti, corro contra una tropa. Por Dios, salto un muro.
For, by thee, I ran through a troop, —by my God, I leapt over a wall.
31 En cuanto a Dios, su camino es perfecto. La palabra de Yahvé se pone a prueba. Es un escudo para todos los que se refugian en él.
As for God, blameless is his way, —the speech of Yahweh, hath been proved, a shield, he is to all who seek refuge in him.
32 Porque ¿quién es Dios, además de Yahvé? ¿Quién es una roca, además de nuestro Dios?
For who is a GOD, save Yahweh? and who a Rock, save our God?
33 Dios es mi fortaleza. Él hace que mi camino sea perfecto.
GOD, is my fortress of strength, —and shewed to the blameless his way;
34 Hace que sus pies sean como los de las ciervas, y me pone en mis alturas.
Planting my feet like the hinds’, —yea, on my high places, he caused me to stand;
35 Enseña mis manos a la guerra, para que mis brazos doblen un arco de bronce.
Teaching my hands, to war, —so that a bow of bronze was bent by mine arms;
36 También me has dado el escudo de tu salvación. Tu gentileza me ha hecho grande.
Thus didst thou grant me, as a shield, thy salvation, —and, thy condescension, made me great.
37 Has ensanchado mis pasos debajo de mí. Mis pies no han resbalado.
Thou didst widen my stepping-places, under me, —so that mine ankles faltered not:
38 He perseguido a mis enemigos y los he destruido. No volví a girar hasta que se consumieron.
I pursued my foes, and destroyed them, —and returned not, till they were consumed;
39 Los he consumido, y los atravesó, para que no puedan surgir. Sí, han caído bajo mis pies.
So I consumed them, and crushed them, and they rose not again, —thus fell they under my feet:
40 Porque me has armado de fuerza para la batalla. Has sometido bajo mi mando a los que se levantaron contra mí.
Thus didst thou gird me with strength, for the battle, —thou subduedst mine assailants under me:
41 También has hecho que mis enemigos me den la espalda, para cortar a los que me odian.
And, as for my foes, thou didst give me their neck, —yea, them who hated me, that I might destroy them:
42 Miraron, pero no había nadie a quien salvar; incluso a Yahvé, pero no les respondió.
They cried out, but there was none to save, —unto Yahweh, but he answered them not.
43 Entonces los hice tan pequeños como el polvo de la tierra. Los aplasté como el fango de las calles, y los esparcí por todas partes.
Then did I beat them in pieces, like the dust of the earth, —like the clay of the lanes, did I crush them, stamp them down.
44 Tú también me has librado de los esfuerzos de mi pueblo. Me has guardado para ser la cabeza de las naciones. Un pueblo que no he conocido me servirá.
Thus didst thou rescue me from the contentions of my people, didst keep me to be the head of nations: —a people whom I had not known, served me;
45 Los extranjeros se someterán a mí. En cuanto oigan hablar de mí, me obedecerán.
The sons of the foreigner, came cringing unto me, —at the hearing of the ear, they submitted to me, —
46 Los extranjeros se desvanecerán, y saldrán temblando de sus lugares cerrados.
The sons of the foreigner, were disheartened, and came quaking, out of their fortresses.
47 ¡Yahvé vive! ¡Bendita sea mi roca! Exaltado sea Dios, la roca de mi salvación,
Yahweh liveth, and blessed be my rock, —and exalted be the God (of the rock) of my salvation: —
48 incluso el Dios que ejecuta la venganza por mí, que hace caer a los pueblos debajo de mí,
The GOD who hath avenged me, and brought down peoples under me;
49 que me aleja de mis enemigos. Sí, me elevas por encima de los que se levantan contra mí. Líbrame del hombre violento.
And brought me forth from among my foes, —yea, from mine assailants, hast thou set me on high, from the man of violence, hast thou delivered me.
50 Por eso te daré gracias, Yahvé, entre las naciones, y cantarán alabanzas a tu nombre.
For this cause, will I praise thee, O Yahweh, among the nations, —and, to thy name, will I touch the strings: —
51 Da una gran liberación a su rey, y muestra una bondad amorosa a su ungido, a David y a su descendencia, para siempre”.
Who hath made great the victories of his King, —and shown lovingkindness to his Anointed One, to David and to his Seed, unto times age-abiding.
