2 Reyes 15

1 En el año veintisiete de Jeroboam, rey de Israel, comenzó a reinar Azarías hijo de Amasías, rey de Judá.

In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah, king of Judah, began to reign.

2 Tenía dieciséis años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó cincuenta y dos años en Jerusalén. Su madre se llamaba Jecolías, de Jerusalén.

He was sixteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.

3 Hizo lo que era justo a los ojos de Yahvé, conforme a todo lo que había hecho su padre Amasías.

And he did what was right in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.

4 Sin embargo, los lugares altos no fueron quitados. El pueblo seguía sacrificando y quemando incienso en los lugares altos.

Only, the high places were not removed: the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.

5 El Señor hirió al rey, de modo que fue leproso hasta el día de su muerte, y vivió en una casa separada. Jotam, el hijo del rey, estaba al frente de la casa, juzgando al pueblo del país.

And Jehovah smote the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and dwelt in a separate house. And Jotham the king's son was over the house, judging the people of the land.

6 El resto de los hechos de Azarías y todo lo que hizo, ¿no está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

7 Azarías durmió con sus padres, y lo enterraron con sus padres en la ciudad de David; y su hijo Jotam reinó en su lugar.

And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David; and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

8 En el año treinta y ocho de Azarías, rey de Judá, Zacarías, hijo de Jeroboam, reinó sobre Israel en Samaria durante seis meses.

In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria, six months.

9 Hizo lo que era malo a los ojos de Yahvé, como habían hecho sus padres. No se apartó de los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, con los que hizo pecar a Israel.

And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, according as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

10 Salum hijo de Jabes conspiró contra él, lo golpeó ante el pueblo y lo mató, y reinó en su lugar.

And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

11 Los demás hechos de Zacarías están escritos en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel.

And the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

12 Esta fue la palabra de Yahvé que habló a Jehú, diciendo: “Tus hijos hasta la cuarta generación se sentarán en el trono de Israel.” Así sucedió.

This was the word of Jehovah which he spoke to Jehu saying, Thy sons shall sit upon the throne of Israel unto the fourth [generation]. And so it came to pass.

13 Salum hijo de Jabes comenzó a reinar en el año treinta y nueve de Uzías, rey de Judá, y reinó durante un mes en Samaria.

Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.

14 Menahem hijo de Gadi subió de Tirsa, llegó a Samaria, hirió a Salum hijo de Jabes en Samaria, lo mató y reinó en su lugar.

And Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

16 Entonces Menahem atacó a Tiphsah y a todos los que estaban en ella y en sus zonas fronterizas, desde Tirsa. La atacó porque no le abrieron sus puertas, y despedazó a todas sus mujeres embarazadas.

Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and its territory from Tirzah, because they did not open [to him]; and he smote [it]: all the women in it that were with child he ripped up.

17 En el año treinta y nueve de Azarías, rey de Judá, Menahem, hijo de Gadi, comenzó a reinar sobre Israel durante diez años en Samaria.

In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem the son of Gadi began to reign over Israel, for ten years, in Samaria.

18 Hizo lo que era malo a los ojos de Yahvé. No se apartó en todos sus días de los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, con los que hizo pecar a Israel.

And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah: he departed not, all his days, from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

19 Pul, el rey de Asiria, vino contra el país, y Menahem le dio a Pul mil talentos de plata, para que su mano estuviera con él para confirmar el reino en su mano.

Pul the king of Assyria came against the land; and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to establish the kingdom in his hand.

20 Menahem exigió el dinero a Israel, a todos los hombres poderosos y ricos, a cada uno cincuenta siclos de plata, para dárselos al rey de Asiria. Y el rey de Asiria se volvió, y no se quedó allí en la tierra.

And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, of all those who were wealthy, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. And the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

22 Menahem durmió con sus padres, y su hijo Pekaía reinó en su lugar.

And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

23 En el año cincuenta de Azarías, rey de Judá, Pekaías, hijo de Menahem, comenzó a reinar sobre Israel en Samaria durante dos años.

In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, for two years.

24 Hizo lo que era malo a los ojos de Yahvé. No se apartó de los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, con los que hizo pecar a Israel.

And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

25 Peka, hijo de Remalías, su capitán, conspiró contra él y lo atacó en Samaria, en la fortaleza de la casa del rey, con Argob y Arieh; y con él había cincuenta hombres de los galaaditas. Lo mató y reinó en su lugar.

And Pekah the son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the fortress of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites; and he slew him, and reigned in his stead.

27 En el año cincuenta y dos de Azarías, rey de Judá, Peka, hijo de Remalías, comenzó a reinar sobre Israel en Samaria durante veinte años.

In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, for twenty years.

28 Hizo lo que era malo a los ojos de Yahvé. No se apartó de los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, con los que hizo pecar a Israel.

And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

29 En los días de Peka, rey de Israel, vino Tiglat Pileser, rey de Asiria, y tomó Ijón, Abel Bet Maaca, Janoa, Cedes, Hazor, Galaad y Galilea, toda la tierra de Neftalí; y los llevó cautivos a Asiria.

In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria came and took Ijon, and Abel-Beth-Maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.

30 Oseas hijo de Ela conspiró contra Peka hijo de Remalías, lo atacó, lo mató y reinó en su lugar, en el año veinte de Jotam hijo de Uzías.

And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him and slew him; and he reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

And the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

32 En el segundo año de Peka, hijo de Remalías, rey de Israel, comenzó a reinar Jotam, hijo de Uzías, rey de Judá.

In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, Jotham the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, began to reign.

33 Tenía veinticinco años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó dieciséis años en Jerusalén. Su madre se llamaba Jerusha, hija de Sadoc.

He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.

34 Hizo lo que era justo a los ojos del Señor. Hizo conforme a todo lo que había hecho su padre Uzías.

And he did what was right in the sight of Jehovah: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

35 Sin embargo, los lugares altos no fueron quitados. El pueblo seguía sacrificando y quemando incienso en los lugares altos. Él construyó la puerta superior de la casa de Yahvé.

Only, the high places were not removed: the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places. It was he who built the upper gate of the house of Jehovah.

36 El resto de los actos de Jotam y todo lo que hizo, ¿no está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

And the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

37 En aquellos días, el Señor comenzó a enviar a Rezín, rey de Siria, y a Peka, hijo de Remalías, contra Judá.

In those days Jehovah began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

38 Jotam durmió con sus padres y fue enterrado con ellos en la ciudad de su padre David; y su hijo Acaz reinó en su lugar.

And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
