2 Corintios 4
1 Por tanto, teniendo este ministerio, así como obtuvimos misericordia, no desmayamos.
Therefore, since we have this ministry through God's mercy, we do not lose heart.
2 Pero hemos renunciado a las cosas ocultas de la vergüenza, no andando con astucia ni manejando la palabra de Dios con engaño, sino con la manifestación de la verdad recomendándonos a la conciencia de todo hombre ante Dios.
Rather, we have renounced shameful hidden deeds; we do not act deceitfully or distort the word of God, but by openly proclaiming the truth we commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God.
3 Aunque nuestra Buena Noticia esté velada, lo está en los moribundos,
But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing.
4 en quienes el dios de este mundo ha cegado el entendimiento de los incrédulos, para que no les llegue la luz de la Buena Noticia de la gloria de Cristo, que es imagen de Dios. (aiōn g165)
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers like them, so that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, might not dawn upon them. (aiōn g165)
5 Porque no nos predicamos a nosotros mismos, sino a Cristo Jesús como Señor, y a nosotros como sus siervos por causa de Jesús,
For what we preach is not ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.
6 ya que es Dios quien dijo: “De las tinieblas resplandecerá la luz”, quien ha brillado en nuestros corazones para dar la luz del conocimiento de la gloria de Dios en el rostro de Jesucristo.
For God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 Pero tenemos este tesoro en vasos de barro, para que la extraordinaria grandeza del poder sea de Dios y no de nosotros mismos.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that this extraordinary power is from God and not from us.
8 Estamos presionados por todas partes, pero no aplastados; perplejos, pero no desesperados;
We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
9 perseguidos, pero no abandonados; derribados, pero no destruidos;
persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;
10 llevando siempre en el cuerpo la muerte del Señor Jesús, para que la vida de Jesús se manifieste también en nuestro cuerpo.
always carrying about in our bodies the death of the Lord Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our bodies.
11 Porque los que vivimos estamos siempre entregados a la muerte por causa de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestra carne mortal.
For we who live are always being delivered up to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our mortal flesh.
12 Así pues, la muerte actúa en nosotros, pero la vida en vosotros.
So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
13 Pero teniendo el mismo espíritu de fe, según lo que está escrito: “Creí, y por eso hablé”. Nosotros también creemos, y por eso también hablamos,
It is written, “I believed, therefore I spoke.” With that same spirit of faith we also believe, therefore we also speak.
14 sabiendo que el que resucitó al Señor Jesús nos resucitará también a nosotros con Jesús, y nos presentará con vosotros.
For we know that he who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us through Jesus and bring us with you into his presence.
15 Porque todo es por vosotros, para que la gracia, multiplicada por los muchos, haga que abunde la acción de gracias para gloria de Dios.
All of this is for your benefit, so that grace, as it extends to more and more people, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
16 Por lo tanto, no desmayamos, sino que, aunque nuestro ser exterior se deteriora, nuestro ser interior se renueva de día en día.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though on the outside we are wasting away, on the inside we are being renewed day by day.
