2 Crónicas 5

1 Así quedó terminada toda la obra que Salomón hizo para la casa de Yahvé. Salomón trajo las cosas que su padre David había dedicado, la plata, el oro y todos los utensilios, y los puso en los tesoros de la casa de Dios.

So all the work that Solomon had performed for the house of the LORD was completed. Then Solomon brought in the items his father David had dedicated—the silver, the gold, and all the furnishings—and he placed them in the treasuries of the house of God.

2 Entonces Salomón reunió en Jerusalén a los ancianos de Israel y a todos los jefes de las tribus, a los jefes de familia de los hijos de Israel, para hacer subir el arca de la alianza de Yahvé desde la ciudad de David, que es Sión.

At that time Solomon assembled in Jerusalem the elders of Israel—all the tribal heads and family leaders of the Israelites—to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD from Zion, the City of David.

3 Así que todos los hombres de Israel se reunieron con el rey en la fiesta, que era en el mes séptimo.

So all the men of Israel came together to the king at the feast in the seventh month.

4 Vinieron todos los ancianos de Israel. Los levitas subieron el arca.

When all the elders of Israel had arrived, the Levites took up the ark,

5 Subieron el arca, la Tienda del Encuentro y todos los utensilios sagrados que estaban en la Tienda. Los sacerdotes levitas los subieron.

and they brought up the ark and the Tent of Meeting with all its sacred furnishings. The Levitical priests carried them up.

6 El rey Salomón y toda la congregación de Israel que se había reunido con él estaban ante el arca, sacrificando ovejas y ganado que no se podía contar ni numerar por la multitud.

There, before the ark, King Solomon and the whole congregation of Israel who had assembled with him sacrificed so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.

7 Los sacerdotes introdujeron el arca de la alianza de Yahvé en su lugar, en el santuario interior de la casa, en el lugar santísimo, bajo las alas de los querubines.

Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, the Most Holy Place, beneath the wings of the cherubim.

8 Porque los querubines extendían sus alas sobre el lugar del arca, y los querubines cubrían el arca y sus varas por encima.

For the cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark and overshadowed the ark and its poles.

9 Los postes eran tan largos que los extremos de los postes se veían desde el arca frente al santuario interior, pero no se veían afuera; y así es hasta el día de hoy.

The poles of the ark extended far enough that their ends were visible from in front of the inner sanctuary, but not from outside the Holy Place; and they are there to this day.

10 En el arca no había nada más que las dos tablas que Moisés puso allí en Horeb, cuando Yahvé hizo la alianza con los hijos de Israel, al salir de Egipto.

There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets that Moses had placed in it at Horeb, where the LORD had made a covenant with the Israelites after they had come out of Egypt.

11 Cuando los sacerdotes salieron del lugar santo (porque todos los sacerdotes que estaban presentes se habían santificado y no guardaban sus divisiones;

Now all the priests who were present had consecrated themselves regardless of their divisions. And when the priests came out of the Holy Place,

12 también los levitas cantores, todos ellos, Asaf, Hemán, Jedutún, sus hijos y sus hermanos, vestidos de lino fino, con címbalos e instrumentos de cuerda y arpas, estaban de pie al extremo oriental del altar, y con ellos ciento veinte sacerdotes que tocaban las trompetas);

all the Levitical singers—Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and relatives—stood on the east side of the altar, dressed in fine linen and playing cymbals, harps, and lyres, accompanied by 120 priests sounding trumpets.

13 cuando los trompetistas y los cantores eran como uno solo, para hacer oír un solo sonido en la alabanza y la acción de gracias a Yahvé; y cuando alzaban la voz con las trompetas y los címbalos y los instrumentos de música, y alababan a Yahvé, diciendo “Porque él es bueno, porque su bondad es eterna”. Entonces la casa se llenó de una nube, la casa de Yahvé,

The trumpeters and singers joined together to praise and thank the LORD with one voice. They lifted up their voices, accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and musical instruments, in praise to the LORD: “For He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.” And the temple, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud

14 de modo que los sacerdotes no podían estar de pie para ministrar a causa de la nube, porque la gloria de Yahvé llenaba la casa de Dios.

so that the priests could not stand there to minister because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
