1 Corintios 4

1 Así pues, que el hombre piense en nosotros como servidores de Cristo y administradores de los misterios de Dios.

Let us be so accounted of by you, as the servants of Messiah, and the stewards of the mysteries of God.

2 Aquí, además, se exige a los administradores que sean hallados fieles.

Now it is required of stewards, that each be found faithful.

3 Pero para mí es una cosa muy pequeña que me juzguen ustedes o un tribunal humano. Sí, ni siquiera me juzgo a mí mismo.

But to me, it is a light matter to be judged of by you, or by any man whatever; nay, I am no judge of myself.

4 Porque nada sé contra mí mismo. Pero no me justifico por esto, sino que el que me juzga es el Señor.

-(For I am not conscious in myself of any thing flagrant; yet I am not by this justified; for the Lord is my judge.)

5 Por tanto, no juzgues nada antes de tiempo, hasta que venga el Señor, que sacará a la luz lo oculto de las tinieblas y revelará los designios de los corazones. Entonces cada uno recibirá su alabanza de Dios.

Therefore pronounce not judgments before the time, or until the Lord come, who will pour light upon the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the thoughts of men's hearts: and then will each one have due praise from God.

6 Ahora bien, estas cosas, hermanos, las he transferido en figura a mí mismo y a Apolos por vosotros, para que en nosotros aprendáis a no pensar más allá de lo que está escrito, para que ninguno de vosotros se ensoberbezca contra el otro.

These things, my Brethren, I have stated concerning the person of myself and of Apollos, for your sakes; that, in us, ye might learn not to think of men, above what is written; and that no one might exalt himself in comparison with his fellow, on account of any person.

7 Porque ¿quién os hace diferentes? ¿Y qué tenéis que no hayáis recibido? Pero si lo habéis recibido, ¿por qué os jactáis como si no lo hubierais recibido?

For who exploreth thee? Or what hast thou, which thou didst not receive? And if thou receivedst it, why gloriest thou, as if thou didst not receive it?

8 Ya estás lleno. Ya te has enriquecido. Has venido a reinar sin nosotros. Sí, ¡y yo quisiera que reinarais, para que también nosotros reináramos con vosotros!

Now ye are yourselves full, and enriched; and, without us, are on thrones! And I wish ye were enthroned; that we also might reign with you.

9 Porque pienso que Dios nos ha exhibido a nosotros, los apóstoles, los últimos, como hombres condenados a muerte. Porque somos un espectáculo para el mundo, tanto para los ángeles como para los hombres.

But I suppose, that God hath placed us legates the last, as for death; since we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels and to men.

10 Nosotros somos tontos por causa de Cristo, pero vosotros sois sabios en Cristo. Nosotros somos débiles, pero vosotros sois fuertes. Vosotros tenéis honor, pero nosotros tenemos deshonra.

We are fools, on account of Messiah; but ye are wise in Messiah! We are feeble; but ye are strong! Ye are lauded, we are contemned.

11 Hasta esta hora tenemos hambre, sed, estamos desnudos, somos golpeados y no tenemos una morada segura.

Unto this hour, we hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no permanent home:

12 Nos esforzamos, trabajando con nuestras propias manos. Cuando la gente nos maldice, nosotros bendecimos. Si nos persiguen, aguantamos.

and we toil, working with our own hands: they defame us, and we bless: they persecute us, and we endure it:

13 Cuando nos difaman, suplicamos. Estamos hechos como la inmundicia del mundo, la suciedad limpiada por todos, incluso hasta ahora.

they revile us, and we entreat them: we are as the filth of the world, and the expiation for all men, up to this time.

14 No escribo estas cosas para avergonzaros, sino para amonestaros como a mis hijos amados.

I write these things, not to shame you; but I instruct you, as dear children.

15 Porque aunque tengáis diez mil tutores en Cristo, no tenéis muchos padres. Porque en Cristo Jesús me convertí en vuestro padre por la Buena Nueva.

For though ye have a myriad of teachers in Messiah, yet not many fathers; for in Jesus Messiah, I have begotten you by preaching.

16 Os ruego, pues, que seáis imitadores míos.

I beseech you, therefore, that ye be like me.

17 Por eso os he enviado a Timoteo, que es mi hijo amado y fiel en el Señor, el cual os recordará mis caminos que son en Cristo, así como yo enseño en todas las asambleas.

For this cause have I sent to you Timothy, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, that he might bring to your recollection my ways in Messiah, agreeably to what I teach in all the churches.

18 Ahora bien, algunos se envanecen, como si yo no fuera a vosotros.

Now some of you are inflated, as though I would not dare come to you.

19 Pero iré pronto a vosotros, si el Señor quiere. Y conoceré, no la palabra de los engreídos, sino el poder.

But I will come to you speedily, if God be willing: and I will know, not the speech of them who exalt themselves, but their power:

20 Porque el Reino de Dios no es de palabra, sino de poder.

for the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

21 ¿Qué queréis? ¿Voy a ir a vosotros con vara, o con amor y espíritu de mansedumbre?

What will ye? Shall I come to you with the rod, or with love and a gentle spirit?
