1 Corintios 12

1 Ahora bien, respecto a las cosas espirituales, hermanos, no quiero que seáis ignorantes.

And concerning spirituals, my brethren, I would have you know,

2 Sabéis que cuando erais paganos, os dejasteis llevar por aquellos ídolos mudos, como quiera que fueseis.

that ye have been pagans; and have been, without distinction, led away after idols, in which there is no speech.

3 Por eso os hago saber que ningún hombre que hable por el Espíritu de Dios dice: “Jesús es maldito”. Nadie puede decir: “Jesús es el Señor”, sino por el Espíritu Santo.

I therefore inform you, that there is no man, that speaketh by the Spirit of God, who saith that Jesus is accursed: neither can a man say that Jesus is the Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.

4 Hay diversas clases de dones, pero el Espíritu es el mismo.

Now there are diversities of gifts; but the Spirit is one.

5 Hay diversas clases de servicio, pero el mismo Señor.

And there are diversities of ministrations; but the Lord is one.

6 Hay diversas clases de obras, pero un mismo Dios que hace todas las cosas en todos.

And there are diversities of energies; but God, who worketh all in all men, is one.

7 Pero a cada uno se le da la manifestación del Espíritu para beneficio de todos.

And to each man, there is given a manifestation of the Spirit, that it may aid him.

8 Porque a uno se le da por medio del Espíritu la palabra de sabiduría, y a otro la palabra de conocimiento según el mismo Espíritu,

To one, by the Spirit, there is given a word of wisdom; and to another, by the same Spirit, there is given a word of knowledge:

9 a otro la fe por el mismo Espíritu, y a otro los dones de sanidad por el mismo Espíritu,

to another, by the same Spirit, faith: to another, by the same Spirit, gifts of healing:

10 y a otro la realización de milagros, y a otro la profecía, y a otro el discernimiento de espíritus, a otro las diversas clases de lenguas, y a otro la interpretación de lenguas.

and to another, miracles: and to another, prophecy: and to another, the discerning of spirits: and to another, divers kinds of tongues: and to another, the interpretation of tongues.

11 Pero el mismo Espíritu produce todo esto, distribuyendo a cada uno por separado como quiera.

But all these, worketh that one Spirit; and he distributeth to every one as he pleaseth.

12 Porque así como el cuerpo es uno y tiene muchos miembros, y todos los miembros del cuerpo, siendo muchos, son un solo cuerpo, así también es Cristo.

For as the body is one, and in it are many members; and all those members of the body, though many, are one body; so also is the Messiah.

13 Porque en un solo Espíritu fuimos todos bautizados en un solo cuerpo, sean judíos o griegos, sean siervos o libres; y a todos se nos dio a beber en un solo Espíritu.

For all of us, likewise, by one Spirit, have been baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether slaves or free; and all of us have drinked in one Spirit.

14 Porque el cuerpo no es un solo miembro, sino muchos.

For a body also, is not one member, but many.

15 Si el pie dijera: “Como no soy la mano, no soy parte del cuerpo”, no es por tanto parte del cuerpo.

For if the foot should say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it, on that account, not of the body?

16 Si la oreja dijera: “Porque no soy el ojo, no soy parte del cuerpo”, no es por tanto parte del cuerpo.

Or if the ear should say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it, on that account, not of the body?

17 Si todo el cuerpo fuera ojo, ¿dónde estaría el oído? Si todo el cuerpo fuera oído, ¿dónde estaría el olfato?

And if the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? Or if it were all hearing, where would be the smelling?

18 Pero ahora Dios ha puesto los miembros, cada uno de ellos, en el cuerpo, tal y como él quería.

But now hath God placed every one of the members in the body, according to his pleasure.

19 Si todos fueran un solo miembro, ¿dónde estaría el cuerpo?

And if they were all one member, where would be the body?

20 Pero ahora son muchos miembros, pero un solo cuerpo.

But now they are many members, yet but one body.

21 El ojo no puede decir a la mano: “No te necesito”, ni tampoco la cabeza a los pies: “No te necesito”.

The eye cannot say to the hand, Thou art not needful to me: nor can the head say to the feet, Ye are not needful to me.

22 No, mucho más bien, los miembros del cuerpo que parecen más débiles son necesarios.

But rather, those members which are accounted feeble, are indispensable.

23 Aquellas partes del cuerpo que nos parecen menos honrosas, a esas les concedemos más abundante honor; y nuestras partes impresentables tienen más abundante modestia,

And those which we think dishonorable in the body, on them we heap more honor; and those that are uncomely, on them we put the more decoration.

24 mientras que nuestras partes presentables no tienen tal necesidad. Pero Dios compuso el cuerpo en conjunto, dando más abundante honor a la parte inferior,

For the honorable members in us, have no need of honor: for God hath tempered the body, and given more honor to the member which is inferior;

25 para que no haya división en el cuerpo, sino que los miembros tengan el mismo cuidado unos de otros.

that there might be no disunion in the body, but that all the members, equally, might care for one another;

26 Cuando un miembro sufre, todos los miembros sufren con él. Cuando un miembro es honrado, todos los miembros se alegran con él.

so that, when one member is in pain, they will all sympathize; and if one member is exalted, all the members will be exalted.

27 Ahora bien, vosotros sois el cuerpo de Cristo, y los miembros individualmente.

Now ye are the body of Messiah, and members in your place.

28 Dios ha puesto a algunos en la asamblea: primero, apóstoles; segundo, profetas; tercero, maestros; luego, obradores de milagros; después, dones de sanidad, de ayuda, de gobierno y de diversas clases de lenguas.

For God hath placed in his church, first, legates; after them, prophets; after them, teachers; after them, workers of miracles; after them, the gifts of healing, and helpers, and leaders, and various kinds of tongues.

29 ¿Son todos apóstoles? ¿Son todos profetas? ¿Son todos maestros? ¿Son todos taumaturgos?

Are they all legates? Are they all prophets? Are they all teachers? Are they all workers of miracles?

30 ¿Tienen todos dones de curación? ¿Hablan todos varios idiomas? ¿Todos interpretan?

Have all of them the gifts of healing? Do they all speak with tongues? Or do they all interpret?

31 Pero desead seriamente los mejores dones. Además, os muestro un camino muy excelente.

And if ye are emulous of the superior gifts, on the other hand, I show to you a better way.
